I have a positive opinion on Spartanburg Methodist college. i am excited to go there and be part of the family. I have a sibling who goes there and has loved it. The faculty is super nice and caring. They try their best to help you financially and they are always one to one conversations and those are the best.

This college takes your money and does not provide the instructions you pay for! Teachers stopped classes after 30 to 40 min or sooner and told students to watch links on the internet. Struggling students had no chances to get help as teaches avoided class interaction! Paid for campus activities while being an online student refusing to undergo weekly covid 19 testing. No activities for online students, social isolation and uncaring staff at this college. Only money hungry office staff at this college! Worst college ever went to! Just bad and non caring teachers who can't teach online and avoid student interactions. Teacher never bothered to stay in zoom call lesson for more than 30 min at a time, when normal lessons are 50 min to over an hour! Did not check on students as they used to and charged for full tuition but received part time. Learning on your own experience only!

Spartanburg Methodist College is an great college to come to right after you graduate high school. There is never a time that you won't feel safe on campus, campus safety is always available for you at any time of the day or night. The student to teacher ratio is great, you will never have a class that is too big for your learning environment. Also, professors are always there for you when you need help with assignments and also editing essays for you. This college really makes you feel very comfortable and also an easy adjustment to the college life.

SMC is a very close-knit college and there are always familiar faces to be seen around all the time. The professors are great and actually care about the students and what they are learning and there are clubs for almost every kind of activity someone might be involved in.

I have recently completed my first year at Spartanburg Methodist College. It is a great college to attend to if you want to start of small and then transfer to a bigger college. It is a very friendly environment and there is a great amount of opportunities to join clubs, meet new friends and excel. The campus is small, so there is no excuse to miss class. On a select amount of days the cafeteria food is good. Overall the breakfast is the best. Spartanburg Methodist College is like a bike with training wheels that gets you ready to ride a bike with no training wheels which would be a bigger college.

evelyn

It looks like a very intelligent college that helps people pursue their careers. Spartanburg Methodist College shows appreciation to every student and never treats anyone differently then others. They are very opened about what you need to do to succeed in life and will help you any way they can.

Michayla

I believe it is the college best fit for my first two years!

Jalaysha

The campus at Spartanburg Methodist College was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to attend their in the Fall of '19. The administration is amazing and is always open to any questions and welling to help. The campus is so welcoming as well as the students and professors. Spartanburg Methodist encourages me to further my education!

Jackson

My overall opinion of Spartanburg Methodist is that it will be an amazing stepping stone for me as a student and athlete. It will be a great place for trying to get my foot in a door of a division one Track program. I also think that it will help me get comfortable with college life and knowing what to expect in the future.

Reed

The best thing about Spartanburg Methodist College is that it is a small college (approximately 800 students). It is in Spartanburg, South Carolina, not far from the mountains. The classroom size is small compared to other colleges. The professors really care about your education. Our new president is having a fitness center built and there is a Starbucks on campus. I'm a freshman wrestler, and my coach is excellent. I never have worked out so hard in my life, and I'm learning new moves and skills. Our team has a close bond. I would highly recommend Spartanburg Methodist college!

Bernard

Overall, well-operated program but could use a lot more activities during the week to get students out of the dorms more. Honest and motivational professors who seek nothing but the best out of your work. Lunch and dinner services are improving for the following year, can't wait!

Molly

Spartanburg Methodist College is a wonderful stepping stone into transferring to a four year college. With a plethora of opportunity for students to stay active academically, and build up GPAs for a better chance at more scholarship opportunities.

Jamie

My overall opinion on Spartanburg Methodist College is that this is a great school, with great peers, and great professors. The atmosphere is fun, yet very safe and friendly. The staff not just including the professors are so amazing and kind to everyone they see. The upperclassmen are always ready to answer your questions and help in any way they can. This is why I love Spartanburg Methodist.

Lindsey

I love the school and campus, but becoming a freshman is a tedious process. I'm sure it is everywhere, but I've had to make multiple trips to the college to get everything done. The faculty is helpful and friendly towards each other, visitors, and students. I feel very at home here.

Keshana

The college is great academic wise and most of the professors are usually supportive and always easily accessible. They do have several activities going on, but they don't always get the imformation to you in a timely manner. On-housing campus isn't all that it's hyped up to be and can be quite costly. The food isn't great, especially after the first week after classes have started and you'll get tired of eating the same thing over and over everyday. If you have a car, you can easily just drive down the road to find several affordable restaurants nearby.

Spartanburg Methodist College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Spartanburg Methodist College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Spartanburg Methodist College is 65%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I am a non-traditional student who unlike most of my fellow classmates, have a little bit of "real world" knowledge. If I could go back in time, I do not believe I would speak to myself. By having a conversation with myself, what might I affect? Would my life be different from what it is now? I am not unlike most people when I think to myself and wonder what I would like to have better in my life but in doing so, one must take stock on what is good and be appreciative. In speaking to myself in the past, I could make my present state of affairs less desirable. I believe on playing the hand I have been dealt because the next hand could be worse.
