I must admit that my recent tour of Coastal Carolina University (CCU) made a deep impression on me. The campus is breathtaking, and the lovely setting of the Atlantic coast makes it a great place to study. The wide variety of academic programs offered by CCU is one of its best qualities. The university's business, education, and marine science departments are especially well-known. The focus on experiential learning, which genuinely enhances the educational process, was something I valued. The faculty's commitment to assisting students in succeeding is evident. At CCU, campus life is lively and interesting. It is simple to get involved and meet new people because there are so many student clubs and events. There are frequently cultural events that unite the town, and the sporting activities add an interesting aspect. All things considered, Coastal Carolina University provides a friendly and active atmosphere that is ideal for students trying to strike a balance between their studies and a satisfying campus life. Anyone thinking about their college alternatives should definitely check it out!

The campus is beautiful. There are lots of fun activities and clubs to join. The tour was very organized. The sports teams are good. The dorms were small, but clean. There are lots of spaces to quietly study. The new library is very modern and nice. They are continuing to renovate the campus.

I knew from my first visit to Coastal Carolina University that this was the place for me. Starting my college journey, I barley knew anything about what it was like, where I wanted to go, and how to apply, but I always had an gut feeling that I needed to be in South Carolina. I had never been to South Carolina, and didn't know what colleges to look into. Last spring I was able to fly down and had the opportunity to visit Coastal Carolina University. I immediately felt a sense of comfort and everything was perfect. It has a unmatchable positive vibe, as well a kind and helpful community. After visiting I continued my research on the university and everything matched up to what I wanted in a college. I know I will be able to thrive and learn everything I need to be successful in my future and have a fun-filled college experience.

Coastal Carolina University is a great school. There are a lot of students who want to attend the university, given the number of people who went on a tour around the university. The subjects that the students are interested in have a lot of fields that students want to learn about, depending on their concentration.

I am currently a senior at Coastal Carolina University and am an athlete on the softball team. We compete at the highest NCAA level, so I would say I have different perspective on college life here. Living in the dorms my freshman year had its pros and cons. I was lucky enough to have my own room and only have to share a bathroom with three other girls. However, if you do not decorate, the room seems dull and doesn't promote a happy atmosphere. It was nice being able to have my car as a freshman, but parking was terrible. I love that you're able to walk to all of your classes and the school offers a shuttle to Walmart, so students can get groceries. Sophomore year housing was great if you were able to get your housing application in on time. The amount of students at Coastal has been increasing exponentially, which makes parking somewhere close a whole ordeal. For the most part, all of the faculty is really nice, with the exception of a few professors here and there. I did not feel very academically challenged when I came to Coastal, and I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA thus far. For the past two years, I have moved to off-campus housing. It is very convenient because my apartment is within walking distance. The downside is that prices have been going up with the increase in the student body. Overall, I would say Coastal Carolina is a school where it depends on how much effort you put into it to get the best experience out of it.

Coastal Carolina University offers 115+ undergraduate and over 30 graduate-level (doctoral educational, specialist, masters) major fields of study including specialized concentrations across six academic colleges. The University also offers courses and events at several satellite locations along the Carolina coast. A 1,105-acre tract, including a portion of Waties Island, provides a natural laboratory for extensive study in marine science and wetlands biology

If you want to visit a beautiful campus in South Carolina, plan to make a stop at Coastal Carolina University. The flowers and trees are enough to warrant a visit. The landscaping is top tier! On top of that, it is a very welcoming campus. You can find students studying outside, as well as playing volleyball. The professors are extremely helpful, as are the employees from the admissions office. Coastal is the perfect distance from Myrtle Beach! Plan a visit now!

This is an amazing student focused school with a goal for student academic success. The staff are welcoming, caring and motivating. The schools has just the right number of students which allows for small class sizes and low professor to student ratios.

I've always been impressed with Coastal Carolina University. The campus atmosphere is vibrant, and the range of academic programs they offer is diverse. I've heard positive things about the engaging student life and the supportive community. The university's commitment to providing a well-rounded education, along with its unique traditions and mascot, Chauncey the Chanticleer, adds a special touch to the overall experience. Of course, opinions may vary, but based on what I've 'heard,' Coastal Carolina University seems like a fantastic place for both academic and personal growth.

I was hesitant to apply to Coastal Carolina University at first. Everything that I had heard was about how it is such a party school and everyone just comes here to party. There is even a common saying among students: "It's not college, it's Coastal". I was a little bit discertain about committing the next four years of my life to a university that had such a reputation. When I first toured the school though, I loved it. The campus is beautiful, the staff is amazing, students are always willing to have a conversation with you or give you advice, and there are TONS of undergraduate and graduate research opportunities. The party scene is honestly not as large as people pretend that it is. Obviously, there are always students at any college who go out to the bars every day of the week but at Coastal Carolina most students who choose to go out wait until the weekends. The educational opportunities at the school are incredible too. Most people don't even consider Coastal Carolina as an intellectual institution but the faculty here is always looking for students of all ages and majors to join in on their research or study abroad programs. Don't let Coastal Carolina's reputation sway your decision to stay away from the school because it is amazing here.

I believe that this school could be a lot greater if there was more care for how students feel about the campus and the changes happening. For instance, you have mold in your room walls? They paint over it and call it fixed. Also, this university accepts tons of freshman, more than they have room for and then builds extra libraries and water fountains vs. extra living spaces for students. The priorities are just not straight. They are also trying to make it a drive-free campus, which could affect commuters. I believe this university only sees money and not students. There are a small bit of great things about the school, like the campus dining choices, some of the professors, and the nice campus scenery. Other than that, not so great.. could be better.

Coastal Carolina is a great college, it like all others has its good traits and its bad ones. They have created a culture recently that is attractive to many. Between the recent success of their football team and baseball team and being origin for the likes of gold medalist Melissa Jefferson the university is no pushover when it comes to athletics. Ive had their dinning options on many occasions also. They are plenty to chose from and the food is always good. I believe the culture of CCU is what causes some drawback however. Students can get so wrapped up in their lifestyle they put education on the back burner.

Coastal Carolina University is a larger student body school, with a small, hometown feel. The local area has many activities and there's always something to do. The school offers numerous opportunities for student to get involved with community service projects as well as environmental revitalization efforts. Overall, I feel it is a very good school.

My opinion of Coastal Carolina University is that it is a great school with a lot to offer. Coastal Carolina University is in Conway, South Carolina and is a public university. It has a great academic reputation and offers a wide variety of degree programs. The campus is beautiful, and the surrounding area is vibrant and full of activities. The faculty and staff at Coastal Carolina University are friendly and helpful, and they are always willing to help students succeed. However, I do wish that their were more diversity among the staff, it is uncomfortable to have all non-black teachers. I can personally relate to and feel more included with black instructors because we have a shared connection. Whereas, the odds want always be in my favor when people who do not look like me nor have a similar background critique my work because they can not relate. The university offers a variety of clubs and organizations, and there is always something to do on campus. The school also offers a wide range of cultural and sporting events throughout the year. Coastal Carolina University also offers a great selection of housing options, so there is something for everyone. However, I wish that the school cared about black student organizations, whenever there is an event of black students, I do not find out about it until it is over and someone has posted it on their social media. Whereas, when there is a white student organization event coming up, it is promoted more than ever. And, not to mention, whenever there are events in the art department, majority of the pictures taken and posted on social media most including white students, and I know because I was at the event. there were a hand full of black students and none of our pictures were taken and posted on social media. It seems to me that coastal only wants to promote and advertise white students. So unfair. that is why we need a diversity of black instructors and students. Overall, I think Coastal Carolina University is a great school. It has a great academic reputation, a vibrant and active campus life, and a wide range of housing options. It is a great place to get an education and to have fun. I would highly recommend Coastal Carolina University to anyone looking for a great school. However, I do wish that students did not have to pay for graduation. That is quite unfair being that we have to pay for everything else.

With a low tuition, moderately sized (and beautiful, might I add) campus, decent housing and great community, Coastal Carolina is honestly a great place to achieve your desired studies. I had a blast all four years of undergrad, because there will at least be one highlight every year, if not every month (every day with the right friends!). This relatively young school is growing into quite the powerhouse, and I don't have many gripes with it. Just be aware that you're going to be on the hunt for parking spaces a lot. And I mean a LOT.
