Don't care about anything but money and getting yours. overpriced. Don't care about the individual only their enrollment and how they look to others.

I think Transy is very well equipped, not only as a school , but in how it deals with the corona virus. The classes are interesting and in depth in their subjects. The area surrounding the college is a little sketchy, but it's not common for any weird characters to be seen on campus. We have police that are easy to contact at any time, whether to simply escort us across campus at night, or too investigate something unusual. The foods very good, and we have a mask policy on campus grounds. As well as regular corona virus testing done by the school to make sure whoever comes on campus isn't sick. I feel safe and that I'm still getting an education, despite the difficult times.

The students and professors are the best part of the university. The student body has the capacity to be very creative and giving. The professors, my experience being in the art departments primarily, are passionate and considerate educators who want to see their students succeed. The physical landscape of the university itself needs improvement, and the administration in my experience was difficult to communicate with. I graduated as major renovations were taking place, so hopefully there have been improvements already. While I was enrolled, accessibility for those who may have a temporary or permanent physical disability was minuscule, and not well kept. For example, the automatic door buttons on several of the older buildings would just not be functional for long periods of time. This made navigating the campus safely and efficiently not easy. In regards to the administration, they have gone through several major position turnovers, which at times could make the forward motion of the school inconsistent and slow. This also created a level of distrust and frustration among some parts of the student body.

Transylvania is a older school with everything from dorms to classrooms up to date. One of the tops schools in the nation and will always be on the nation radar in sports and also in the classroom. Transy (for short) is the school you want to be to grow as a student and athlete. Teachers are always available for you, they care a lot, will not allow you to miss class because they care. The coaches will always be honest and do what is best for you. Be a Pioneer!

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

A lot of prospective students believe they know exactly what kind of a career they want to pursue, so they choose a college that focuses on those things they are only currently interested in. My advice to these students is to go for a college that offers courses in a wide variety of subjects, and then encourage them to experiment with what is offered. You never know when you might find something completely new that you will fall in love with. The purpose of college is to give you the resources and opportunities you need to effectively choose a direction in life, so be sure and examine all your options before you commit yourself to one thing. I would also invite students to become involved in an extracurricular activity of some sort, so they can socialize with people with similar interests and apply their talents into action. In short, have an open mind, make friends and have a little fun, but don't forget why you are there. Stay on top of your schoolwork no matter what, because in college grades are everything.

Haveing to decide what your going to major in quickly. If your not sure or have some idea what you want to do coming in then its possible you won't graduate on time. 15. What is your overall opinion of this school?

Mold in forrer hall, and the university ignores it. Caused major heath problems for me causing me threat to swell i can hardly breath.I wake up every day with burring red eyes. The parties are non-exsistant, it is a suitcase college (although they tell you it is not) everyone leaves on the weekends. The atmosphere on transy is very depressing, and almost every freshman has considered transferring at one point. The food is terrible. Social life is pathetic. I know too many people transferring. Has the potential to be an amazing school, but need lots of help. Wanted to go to a small school for the one-on-one time, it is hide and go seek trying to talk to my professors. The academics are alright but not worth wasting you college experience. I would highly recommend not attending this college. The admissions office ensured me there would be new bathrooms for the 2018 class, a huge crowd for basketball games, and it was NOT a suitcase college. I found out for my self that these things were all not true. Transy was not anything I had seen in my several college tours. Be 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} sure this is your college. It seems like the people who deicide not to transfer to a new school are stuck, and are just making it through college. You should enjoy your college experience! I don't want y'all to the the mistake I did. Hope this helped. Good luck on your college search! xoxo
