Trident Technical College is a great place for a college education. It provides a high-quality education that prepares students for both career advancement and transfer to four-year institutions. The college offers affordable tuition, and there are no-cost tuition programs available, making education accessible to many. With over 11 areas of study, Trident Tech provides a wide range of programs to choose from, including applied technical degrees, diplomas, and certificates. As a community college, Trident Tech is deeply committed to improving the lives of its students and the broader community. It acts as a catalyst for personal, community, and economic development. While the college has a big college feel but operates with a small college atmosphere, providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students. It offers flexible learning options such as courses in a seven-week compressed format, which allows for greater student success and flexibility in scheduling. These factors make Trident Technical College an excellent choice for students seeking a high-quality, affordable, and supportive educational experience.

Trident Technical College may not have a lot of things four-year universities have since it's a community college, but it's a great place to pursue your academic goals and dreams. As an online student alumni, I don't know much about the on-campus environment so don't take my previous ratings too harshly. I do know that Trident has a very welcoming and non-judgmental culture. With Trident's affordability many people of all ages, races, etc come to pursue degrees, and most of the time the people are primarily focused on earning their degree rather than campus-life activities such as parties. Regarding advisement, I was really lucky to have a great academic advisor who really kept me on my goals and ensured that I met all requirements to complete the degree in the amount of time that I wanted. I was unfortunate at first to originally have a advisor who had minimal contact with me and didn't give me enough information so advocating for yourself and your own success is important! I'd also suggest for those who hope to use Trident as I did in which you take all your gen ed courses and transfer to a four-year to save money, to choose one of their transfer degree programs such as the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science. Any other degree may cause difficulties in trying to transfer credits to a different degree at a four-year establishment.

Trident Technical College has been a great college for my lifestyle. It’s flexible and offers a great education at my own pace. The financial aid office and registrars office could use a lesson in communication and organization however. I tend to be more confused after a conversation with either office. The professors care and are available for tutoring.

Trident Technical College was the ideal college for me. The class sizes, depending on the course, are not too large. They have a variety of options to choose from, whether you want to major in the arts or engineering. I'm currently enrolled in their Pre-Nursing Studies program, and it has been perfect for me. All of the classes I need are virtual, which is perfect for me because I work and attend college full time. The instructors reply back in a generally timely and respectful manner. I love the fact that I am able to make all my educational decisions at my fingertips. Trident offers me the ability to receive my education and continue my professional career simultaneously.

Trident tech is a affordable two year community college were you don't have to worry about graduating with a ton of loans to pay off. They have a variety of degrees and majors to choose from that transfers to four year colleges. The professors are really helpful and always have availability to help you succeed in your academics. The financial aid office is very helpful in making sure you are getting the right financial package for your course and that you are prepared for the first day of class. I believe Trident tech is the best two year community college that will help prepare you for your career path or help you achieve in the work force with no loans to pay off after graduating.

I attend here as a dual student my opinion of TTC has been pretty positive thus far. The teachers do want us to succeed but they provide plenty of challenges. The staff overall seems okay. Since it’s a community college we unfortunately don’t have a sports team or any Greek life on campus. Overall, I would rate TTC as a solid 7/10

Trident Technical College is a well-rounded community college. The fact that they offer free tuition with their course is incredible. The instructors are dedicated to their jobs and work hard to better the lives of their students. Some go above and beyond to assist their students. Campus activities are set up for the students to get involved with organizations and other programs they may have interests in. They assist with essay writing, filling of FAFSA applications, scholarships, and tutoring.

It is a great school that is accessible to people of all backgrounds. Trident takes the same approach to everyone: supportive and informative, providing tons of information and guidance as well as opportunities to continuously grow. They allow you every opportunity in the world to leave if it benefits you but simultaneously provide you every reason to stay! Counselors are non-biased and very capable in all fields the school participates in. Classes are almost always guaranteed to transfer and they accept a wide variety of credits! The school isn't perfect, there are disadvantages set against them with their budget naturally, being a public college. A school can only be as good as its students, and if half the students cared as much as the staff, the school would far surpass all those around it. There's room to grow but that is minor when you look at the leaps and bounds the institution has made in previous years!

As two year colleges go and considering the price this college is pretty awesome. While there are downfalls and it is not by any means perfect for what it is it's pretty great. Along with that Trident Tech also gives excellent transfer programs to other colleges, allowing for an express way for those who think they're behind.

Trident Technical is a great Technical college. There is always someone available to assist you from enrollment to graduation. As an online student, I am able to get in touch with my advisors and instructors. Whenever I need help with assignments, the instructors have always been able to assist me. They make things so convenient, and they are very flexible. This technical college is all that it's made out to be. Trident Technical College is GREAT!

Trident is great for a baby step into the next step of your education. I feel that with a school like Trident, the classroom sizes are perfect. There is enough of the professor for everyone to get their questions answered. The professors, in my experience, are always responsive to emails and actually seem like they care about the students. Trident is a great school

It’s great fir people who are serious about their education! For the people who are just there to skate by and not do much about their future, it might be frustrating. This is a technical college so it’s understood people are here for a reason. I feel very comfortable asking for help- from people in the office, to possible professors, to other alumni that have gone on to do better things. This school gets rave reviews by all the locals who have attended it also!

Trident Technical College is always trying and looking for more educational possibilities for those who want to be, or are already enrolled as students. I love the accessibility of everything in the area, and even though it is only a two year college, they go out of their way to push students to do their best in life. I feel safe here, and I definitely feel they have opened a brand new world to me, that I would have never expected to see. The teachers are friendly, the students are involved, and we all love TTC!

I love it so far and I am learning alot I like their learning system.their was another school that was recommended besides trident but I could not afford it plus it was downtown plus I live 15 mins from the campus. I could never really be late for class.

I started Trident Tech in the fall. I took online and campus classes and it was a really good experience. The professors were really helpful and they were always available. The staff at Tech were really friendly and helpful even when things could get really complicated and stressful

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Seeing as to how I'm 10 years out of highschool, there are a lot of things that could be said. I think that most importantly, the advice that I personally would give is this: "Please don't give up!! Do not succumb to parts of the world that settles for a dead end job! Don't leave school just because of a stuggle that has been experienced. Follow through and get into college!! It will take you places you never knew existed. Above all else remember this, do NOT give up on yourself. Do NOT allow anyone's opinion steer you in a direction that you don't completely agree with, and most importantly, ALWAYS live your life with your faith first, yourself second, and then everything else after that."
I made a lot of rough choices throughout my life, and this last year and the few years to come, are my steps to a new direction. I know now that had I chosen this path 10 years ago, my life would definitely be in a different place. Now, that is my new goal, to become what I didn't choose then, before it's too late. Thank you.
They have plenty of courses available to students in order to get them finished within 2 years with thier associate degree. Some community colleges are quite impacted and it takes up to 3 years to get a 2 year degree.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wished I would have done more research and known how reputable Trident Techical College was. If I would have taken the time to do so, I would not have wasted my time and money at another institution. I wouldnt be in so much student loan debt and I would have been working in my chosen field.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The only people who shouldn't attend TRident Tech are those who aren't ready and or motivated enough to make it through. This school is based on self growth, almost like having training wheels on your first bike. If one isn't prepared to first learn how college works here the chances of them moving forward in higher education would be limited. So the only ones incapable of attending this school are simply those who have already told themselves they would fail before they even attend.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The cost of Textbooks and the fact that they have online codes. These codes are specific to the college and once you use them the text-book is basically worthless. The college will sell it to you for $150, you use it one semester and they will buy it back for $25. You might be able to sell it privately to another student for $40, because they will have to pay $50 for a new code. It is a racket.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
When talking about Trident technical College with my friends I emphasize the quality of education that is prevalant. Most of my friends have never attended a secondary school so I inform them that they can go to school and that TTC is a school that works hard at making each prospective student feel like they can come here and learn. Knowledge is power so I really encourage my friends to come take the placement test and sign up for the next semestor.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
91% of students attending Trident Technical College receive some sort of financial aid.
52% were awarded federal grants.24%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
