University of Arizona Top Questions

I love the campus at the University of Arizona. It is absolutely beautiful, with tons of palm trees and cacti and old-fashioned brick buildings. I have also been really impressed with the caliber of teaching in the Linguistics Department. The linguistics professors I have had so far have all been extremely passionate about their field of study and willing to help me out whenever I have had questions.

The University of Arizona is a fantastic place to study the history of art. As a graduate student in the program, my intellect is challenged in ways that I had not yet discovered. The focus on methodology is especially important, especially for someone like me who's interest lies in architectural theory. The professors are extremely knowledgable in their field. My graduate advisor, Dr. Pia Cuneo has an incredible mind and is very supportive. She tells me that in many ways I am already exhibiting work like a PhD level student. This makes me very proud.

What I brag about to my friends is that how the University of Arizona is one of the top teir university on research since the U of A is well known for their research. That this school contains many different cultural centers and club for someone with particular interest. As well the staff at the university are very friendly and they want you to succeed and continue to enjoy life in a positive way.

The weather, the sunny weather all year round allows me to brag to my friends, especially when my friends who go to college on the east coast are complaining about the snow and cold weather.

I love that my school is in a town that has a lot of gorgeous nature spots to enjoy. I also feel like Tucson has a young, funky, vibrant vibe to it. It has lots of good restaurants, especially mexican ones. We also have a good engineering school!

School Pride! Everyone is proud to be a wildcat at the University of Arizona. Our students are always wearing UofA gear, our "Bear-down" motto is well-known for its legendary origin, our student section (ZonaZoo) is the biggest in the Pac-10, and our mall hosts tons of exciting events year round. My favorite events have been the "Ram Jam Tour" with student snowboarders jumping off a three story structure with snow from Mt. Lemon, club olympics with a mud tug-of-war pit and muddy students everywhere, and tail-gaits with free chipotle before every home football game!

We have the biggest greek life in the west at our school. Almost all of our colleges are in the top 10 in the nation. We have the biggest student section for football games in the nation. We have one of the most involved student governments.

I brag about the Greek life, the parties, the hiking trails, and the school spirit.

Usually, I brag about the classes I am able to take that apply to my major, as well as the flexibility of some of the upper division classes. For instance, I love the fact that mammology and herpetology are offered at different times during the week, so I am able to take both in the same semester.
