University of California-Riverside Top Questions

Describe the students at University of California-Riverside.

Jay

UCR is tremendously diverse. I can't imagine anyone feeling out of place here. Most students dress like everyone else in SoCal: designer jeans and t-shirts. EVERYONE interacts, regardless of minority status. If there are four tables of students in the dining hall, it's impossible to categorize each one because the school is highly heterogenous. Most UCR kids are middle class. A lot of students are politically apathetic, but the ones who aren't are typically liberal.

Paula

My classmates at UCR were a diverse mix of students in terms of race, religion, motivation, and work ethic.

Kimberly

I enjoy my classmates, many of them are helpful and provide advice when necessary.

Eunice

My classmates are very friendly and helpful.

Luis

Classmates are upbeeat and down to earth and eager to learn and to help other classmates out.

Classmates do have a desire to attend college, but it's probably not their #1 goal in life.

Luis

All of my classmates are very welcoming and helpful. Not all of them are freshman, so they all know what it is like to be a freshman in college. They understand your needs and they try to help you as much as they can. Many of classmates already became my friends, which makes feel very happy. Many of my classmates and I also form study groups so we can study for tests and quizzes, and everyone is very cooperative and very intelligent!

Audrey

My classmates are very open people. They are willing to help others when in need and are very friendly. My classmates are also very approcable. Overally, my classmates look out for each other which in the end creates a more friendly, welcoming campus environment.

Daniel

It is basically impossible to describe my classmates in one sentence because people at UCR are all very different, but if i had to i'd just say that everyone has their own unique personality and no one is afraid to express their uniqueness.

Justin

My classmates are a different array of people, ranging from "hip-sters" who dress in tight pants, all the way to students who can be classified as nerds. Racially, the student population is extremely diverse and includes about every ethnicity that can be found within the United States. Among the different cliques and races, there are also many other subsets of people such as students with different economic situations. So if i were to describe the typical UCR student, that would be quite difficult because we are all so different!
