we rock, thats all there is to it.
We are an extremely healthy city - I'm not trying to be crude by saying this - but if you're overweight and akward about it, you will hate it here. Everyone walks/bikes/runs, eats granola and hikes every other day of the week.

Students are very open to different people, and different experiences. They are focused on getting the most out of college and having fun while doing it. Mostly white, wealthy, liberal students.

The one stereotype I was aware of before attending CU-Boulder was that the student body was about 90{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} white, middle to upper class, rich, spoiled kids who were just there to party. Yes, there are those types of kids, but only a very SMALL amount. Every major university is going to have kids like that. But the majority of kids I met and the majority of the student body are in college to expand their opportunities in life and to learn as much as possible. I have met people from all over, even one kid from London; many kids from California, Hawaii, Texas, Chicago, New York, New Jersey, Colorado of course, Florida, Ohio, and the list goes on. This school is diverse in a sense that there are many different types of people and from areas all across the world.

As I said before, CU students are diverse although diversity is not a major strong point for CU. There are many different diversity groups and clubs on campus, students never feel as though they do not belong. Our student body is very liberal and accepting of all people and backgrounds.

Since I'm an engineer, I'm kind of have no life outside of school, so as far as all the student run organizations, I'm not a good one to ask. The engineering societies are pretty well organized and seem beneficial. Overall, Boulder is a very student run campus, with the largest student managed budget in the nation. I've heard the leadership opportunities in student government are fantastic from friends, but I have no personal experience with them.

Boulder is not a very diverse campus. Everyone here is very wealthy and very snobby. Ugg boots, prada purses, and big sunglasses are worn to class, and most students don't interact with you. Students think they are politically aware/active, but they are fighting for causes like weed smoking and underage drinking. It is a very liberal school, which I like, but the students don't ever talk about the future.

Everyone is very open and at first it seems like people are all on campaigns for some cause...if you visit you will see a lot of people trying to get you to vote like this or help with their charity etc. but once you actually meet people they are really normal. An average CO student is earthy and open minded, not too "into" school work but inspired by their interests to get involved in their fields.

The student body seems to be split between those who care, and want to make change, those who wanna party all the time, and those who are too stoned to know what's going on.
Amy
I've heard a lot about different student groups on campus. They've always got posters taped to bus stops and stop signs and written in chalk on the sidewalks about events and meetings. Most students you'll find are really friendly and willing to help.
Andy
The student body is a fun loving group of scholars. Although CU has made efforts to bring in more diversity the majority of the students are white, middle class kids in their twenties. Everyone finds their niche on this huge campus; opportunities are endless, from leadership to Frisbee golf.
