I really like the campus it is small but beautiful. I also think the theatre department is wonderful and the theater is so different than what I am use to at my high school. The staff that I have been in contact with to ask questions have also been very helpful and kind which is so great.

This is an amazing university with supportive staff and amazing connections, especially since it's affiliated with the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. The professors are very caring and there are so many educational opportunities on campus.

For students looking for higher education in the heart of Michigan, University of Michigan Flint College is a distinguished institution. I can vouch for the excellent possibilities and resources that UM Flint offers as a student. The professors are friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to support the success of their students. The small class sizes provide a collaborative and interesting learning atmosphere by allowing for more individualized attention. Modern, well-kept facilities, such as fully-stocked classrooms, research labs, and cutting-edge technological resources, are all present on the campus. A useful resource for students' academic endeavors, the library is large and offers access to a wide variety of academic resources. In order to accommodate a variety of interests and career objectives, UM Flint College also provides a wide selection of programs and majors. There is something for everyone, whether they are interested in business, education, engineering, health sciences, or social sciences. The college also places a strong emphasis on experiential learning and encourages students to take part in research, internships, and other learning activities that directly apply to their future careers. The campus life of UM Flint College is also very active, with lots of clubs, groups, and activities that appeal to different interests. There are many ways for kids to become engaged, meet people, and build memories, including sports teams, cultural clubs, and community service programs. The cost of tuition and fees at UM Flint College should be noted, and different students may qualify for different types of financial aid. However, the college offers a number of scholarships and financial aid options to help deserving students further their studies.

I love being a student at U of M Flint, I feel comfortable on campus with all the security, and the student life is the best. The classroom sizes are no larger than 150 so it makes it more personal and easier to learn. We have the flint farmers market one block from the campus that we can go and get food which is a great thing and a lot of students take advantage of it.

This is a great commuter school! I wouldn't recommend living on campus but the academics here are great and they genuinely want you to succeed. The professors are very accesible and understanding about life challenges. They provided decent financial aid as well.

great place to start my career off they have a lot to offer, great teachers, online and on campus. The area has a lot to offer to get students to come check them out, and job offers an=re very high with this college. I have been excited to begin their nursing program.

The University of Michigan-Flint has an excellent facility, attentive staff, and challenging courses. I have earned 2 bachelor degrees there and I’m working toward my doctoral degree at UM-Flint. It’s not a huge campus, which can actually be a perk. Overall I would recommend.

I love the University of Michigan, they have a beautiful campus and all of the professors that I have met are extremely helpful and are always willing to help students, I love how friendly everyone is, and how clean the campus is I feel very safe walking around campus, and I feel like this is a good college to attend.

University of Michigan is very inclusive. It has a diverse student body and there are classes for everyone. Regardless of your interest, you're guaranteed to find something you enjoy. The professors are very responsive and kind. They express that they're there to help you complete the class and gain the knowledge you need to move forward. Additionally, the on-campus police force is always present and expresses how dedicated they are to protecting the community. It's generally clean on this campus as well.

Overall, I love my school. It wasn't my first choice but I'm so happy I decided to go here. It's close to home and in a great location. A lot of my high school friends go here as well. I really do enjoy my time here. Majority of my professors have been amazing and offer great help outside of the classroom as well.

It's a great school, it makes you feel like you are partaking in the going away experience of college without actually having to move away from home. UM-Flint offers a variety of degree programs, my favorite program that I'm currently enrolled in is called the two plus two program where I complete two years at UM-Flint then I transfer to UM-Ann Arbor to complete my designated field of engineering. UM-Flint makes you feel at ease, the classroom sizes are small which enhance students understanding of material, it allows more one on one interactions with professors and helps in making friends. Overall, I would recommend attending University of Michigan-Flint to high school seniors and others who might want to transfer.

University of Michigan-Flint is a great school located in a nice area of Flint, Michigan. It accepts great students and has perfect class sizes. It is a small to medium size school perfect for getting to know people. There are a lot of places to hang on campus and they have great support system for students. For it to be a small school there is a lot you can get involved in to have a job interact with others and the nearby community. They push students to excel but not to hard that they are stressed out. Not only that, but they keep your workload simple. Safety on campus is a big deal as well. They make sure all students and incoming students know where they can get help, what to look for in situations and how to report issues. They really encourage students to speak up. It is a great school!

U of M-Flint is a great campus. I've gotten to know so many great people and it has been amazing here. I plan to stay here to obtain my bachelor's degree. This campus has changed my life completely, honestly I have never felt so "at home" until I started college here. I love it!

It’s a very good school. Faculty is always there. You’ll never feel intimidated if you need help. So many activities to get involved in. So many resources that can help academically and any other situation. There is tutoring for most classes if not you can always contact the teacher or even ask a student.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Apply for scholarships and schools before actually graduating from high school and do research about a school before applying to it (don't apply just because the the school is conveniently located). Attend a community college for as many classes as you can before transferring to a university. Also, limit your academic focus to one major area and one minor area. Don't try to take courses in too many different subjects.
The best thing about my school are the amazing and incredibily intelligent professors. They are passionate about their fields, and help to instill that passion in their students.
My classmates are a diverse group of undergraduate students and graduate students, some "traditional," and some not. There are black students, white students, and Asian students. As a graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree with a major of American Culture and a concentration in Women's Literature, I find that most of my fellow students are very mature and quite good at literary theory.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about the school is that there isn't enough time to do everything that the school offers. There are so many great opportunities, and only so many hours in the day...
Someone who like small schools, someone who want to save money, someone who will live at home with their parents, someone who wants to major in something common and doesn't mind taking more than 4 years to graduate, and someone who doesn't need their social life to revolve around campus.
U of M-Flint is a sister-school to University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, which is known widley for its innovation, research, and professionalism. U of M-Flint echoes these characteristics successfully. My program of study is pre-pharmacy. I work as a pharmacy tech and talk to pharmacists regularly, and I have found that many of them started at U of M-Flint. This school also has an excellent pre-med program, which has produced the notion that the University of Michigan is one of the best schools in the nation.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
U of M-Flint is highly goal/hard work oriented. Individuals who are generally unmotivated or lack an appreciation for a higher understanding of academics would have a hard time here. That being said, I would not say any "kind of person" should not attend this school. U of M-Flint is open to all "types" of people; and listening to a brilliant lecture by an over-qualified professor could stimulate one's interest in any given field.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I guess one thing I really like is the amount of classes. There are lots of options when it comes to picking a class to fulfil a credit. For example, there are tons of different art classes. Even if you personally are not into drawing, you can find an art class that would interest you. So I brag about the class options.
The school of business is top notch and the school of health care administration has a lot of good things going for it too. I do not know much about other departments but if you are interested in those, you should definitely give the UM-Flint a look.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
