What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
The advice I would give myself would be to save more money to prepare for book costs and everything not covered by loans, grants and scholarships. I would tell myself to make sure i had a real desk and a laptop instead of pc to spend more time with my kids in separate parts of the house instead of the back room. Homework is pretty simila, except I would warn myself to get as much done as possible early on and just submit when it is due instead of waiting until the day before or day of.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I would have known sooner that this school offers the ability to not choose your major until your fourth year for computer information science. I would have made the decision to go with them much sooner had I known this. My problem with picking a school was that I wasn't sure which field of computer science i wanted to go with, and I didn't want to start a major and then find I didn't enjoy doing it.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The thing I brag to my friends about the most is the stucture of my classes. The University of Phoenix has accelerated classes which are only five weeks long. Most of my friends attend a four year university in which they started 2 years before me, and I will graduate the same time as them, if not sooner. Also, the class sizes are perfect for personal attention and hands on learning. The best part of the University of Phoenix is my schedule works around my life, which is perfect for someone who works full time!

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
UoP allowed for a classroom experience at night, and as a working professional, I needed that education availability. I enjoy the classroom learning environment, and I always have. Looking at other school programs, UoP was one of only a few that truely allowed for me to continue to work full time, and attend class at a full-time student level. I enjoy learning, and I enjoy learning with other people.
