Victor Valley College is a great junior/community college that allows a multitude of opportunities to explore different majors through all sorts of courses, holds many events for both people outside of the college and the students to enjoy, and has services that are efficient in being accessible and reliable whenever something is needed.
There are a variety of different majors that a student is able to choose. The student is able to follow a plan to go down the path of one or more majors to get their associates and determine if they like to pursue a certain major in the future. They have a wide range of majors from art to medical/nursing. Victor Valley College is a great place to take time to explore different interests and skill sets.
Certain classes, such as art classes, hold an art show by hanging up different pieces of art of all different mediums to display all the art students’ work and for outside people and other peers to enjoy. Faculty, students, and others are all welcome to enjoy the sights of different forms of art and are provided with foods that are specially made by faculty members that volunteer. Other events that bring the college community together are through educational and personal interests, allowing students and those joining the community to find peers with the same interests.
The services of the school are very exceptional through email, Victor Valley College’s website, and meetings for in-person during work hours. The tutoring center is one of the main services that allow many students to come together to help each other study. Faculty also participates in helping to tutor the students outside of their hours of teaching a class. Other services of finances, admissions, and counselling are efficient in clearly communicating their open hours and have a system to make appointments or to go in-person to sign into a queue.
Overall, my opinion of Victor Valley College is positive and I think it is a great college for students who are looking for interests in different majors and having fun along the way.

Victor Valley College offers more than just a great education. This college's remarkable student body hosts different activities and events that unite all students, which goes above and beyond any other community college. Events hosted embrace the creativity and culture of the students who make up this campus. Cultural appreciation events such as a Black History Month Celebration with live traditional music. As well as an entire day to show off the work of art students who pour their hearts into their work. The dedication all the instructors on this campus have to ensure students can achieve their dreams, allows students like me to find hope for my future, and that I have the power to accomplish anything. Even in online courses instructors always offer the most support, communication, and help any student can ask for. Ultimately, this outstanding college has so much to offer for the entire High Desert, offering not only a place to learn but also a place to feel valued.

The professors I have had are very good. They work well with students and are available for any questions regarding class. I am a student in concurrent enrollment so they come to my campus but, I have had the opportunity to visit the campus a few times. I would say overall the campus is clean and features a library and study rooms with many more amenities.

Nice local college. Simple but still beautiful campus. Small enough to get to know people but big enough to feel like a big campus. The classes are not hard to register for if you are diligent and sign up on time. I have had a positive experience with the professors.

I think Victor Valley College (VVC) is a great college to attend if you are looking to save money and still receive a great education. It allowed me to further my education and receive thee Associate's degrees. The professors, academics, and students are diverse which provided me with experiences like being introduced to new cultures and taking on new challenges. I remember this one semester, I had a 70-year-old man in my class, along with a professor who had plenty of experience in his field and students from different states and backgrounds. Also, I was able to still enjoy my freedom and personal life while playing softball, taking extracurricular activities (Journalism), being a part of Phi Theta Kappa, and having a job due to the fact that Victor Valley College works around your schedule and is quite flexible. Again, I would recommend VVC to anyone who wants to save money, find out what they want to do with their lives, explore a wide variety of people, classes, and challenges, or just simply want to further their education.

I feel it`s a good school to go to. My instructors really want us to excel. If I or anyone in my classroom need help on any question the instructor and other students don`t go forward until that student gets the answer. We are encouraged to help one another.

Victor Valley College is a great community college which provides both vocation certificates and associates degrees to students who seek to further their education. I really enjoy this college. I have made many friends. The only downside is that the schools configuration is a little odd. This college could also do with more handicap accessibility because there are two story building and an elevator is hard to find. When I was having to use crutches there was a lot of stairs and it was hard to maneuver around with the crutches. however the teachers are always willing to help and are always asking if people need to schedule time during there office hours. Great school just has some hiccups.

Victor Valley College is a decent and respectable community college. They offer exactly what is needed for students to transfer to Universities or State schools. While they do not go above and beyond in all aspects, the staff and teachers, especially, do their best to assist students in their success.

I appreciate the dual enrollment classes and how open the proffesors.

My overall opinion of Victor Valley College is that it is a good school over all. There is a couple of things that does not make it a great school but, the school does help me get the education that I need for getting my AA degree. The things that they can work on is their counseling system and the amount of classes provided. The counseling system is not well organized. They have a appointment system online but, I can never find a available appointment and when I try to call they just tell me to apply for a appointment online, this leads me without help. The other issue is the amount of classes provided on the campus. I understand that one the school is not big and two it is a community college, but it makes it difficult to graduate on time when I can not even get a class that I need to complete my AA degree for my major. There is different registration blocks set for students so sometimes by the time I can register the class that I need is completely full and sometimes depending on what the class is, VVC is only providing 10 classes total for that subject leading me to take longer to finish my education. Other than that overall it is a good school. It is a good community college to attend to if you would like to save money and get a good education. The professor are amazing and do a excellent job at teaching their students and attending their needs. The small class size is nice because it gives a student time to talk to the professor one on one or during lecture.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Victor Valley College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I had the choice to to go back to myself when was a senior, I would tell myself not to be so exact in my aspirations. At this time of life there are so many important decisions we have to make and life likes to switch it up sometimes. Although at the time it might not seem right as time goes on we start to realize that the unexpected turns we have are usually the most important and life changing. The best thing to do is just to except these changes and do the best that we can.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my school has to be the limited amount of classes. If you dont sign up on time your luck of getting the class it is almost entirely gone. I also wish the teachers at my school also were more involved and wanting us to succeed; because at times i feel they just want to see us fail.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
VVC is a beautiful campus which is always being improved on, the staff are exceptional, especially in th biology department where I spend most my time.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I knew more about the campus before coming to VVC. I took a look at the website before coming here, and the campus is beautiful. Im always curious about the history of buildings.
Victor Valley College is known for allowing students a chance to allow for the transfer to a post secondary college of higher education and to also acheive allow for students to obtain their Associates Degree. My college is also known for their affordable finacial flexibility. This will help me greatly, as it will for countless other students, in enabling us to afford a higher education through college and as well as allowing for us to decide whether to advance that education even further by attending a post secondary college through the transfer option.
Victor Valley College is just for every one who want to better their education. Its for the young people right out of high schoolwh o want to better them selves in education. The people who can't afford the a university, but still want to go for their dream of being a business major. Then the people who want to turn their life around like an x-con. The school is for anybody even the people who want to come back to school for work, or just to get a head in life. Victor Valley College is just for everybody.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I tell my friends that Victor Valley College is great for me because I wasn't ready to go straight to a university, and i couldn't afford all the expenses that a university has. Victor Valley College really prepairs you to move on to a university after the two years here. The school has plenty of majors just like a big university, and it has majors that i know I am going to love doing. This school has nice size class where you can get help, tutoring when you need help. VVC has a good price people can afford.
My classmates are the kind of people who study hard during school and off school and yet still have the time to play hard as well. They are motivated students in my college to succeed in their career choice. Each classmate inspires each other to do their best in the classes to exceed in their academics and as well as to work ethicly in the college to finish any and all class work. My classmates have been studying their interest/love/passion in their career choice to finish their academics and achieve their dreams.
Its in a small commuinty eviroment, so its easy to study and to have smaller classes and to have a more personal relationship with the counsualers who help you transfer.
