A majority of Villanova students are from wealthy backgrounds, predominately white. Most females dress very nicely for class.

Villanova's student body overall is still very ignorant and scared to go outside their high school walls; therefore is you're not a white, upper-middle class conservative heterosexual you will find it very hard to adjust to life at Villanova.
Must students dress up in $1000 outfits sadly.
Rarely do different types of students interact unless in concerns athletics.
Four tables: 1. Athletes 2. White Males 3. White females 4. Non-white students.
Most students are from PA, NJ, NY.
Most students are politically aware and active and mainly conservative repulicans.

Community is not just lip-service...we mean it!
Matt
A lot of students are from prosperous backgrounds, but you'll still meet plenty of down to earth students as well
Dale
The student body is a lot more diverse than people realize. The students just perpetuate the homogenous stereotype of our school.

I myself feel that Villanova is well-diversified. I believe that everyone could find a place in Villanova's community, but should be warned before-hand about the preppiness factor. Students wear everything, from high-heels, polos, dresses to sweatpants and t-shirts to class. Different types of students do interact. There are Villanova students from everywhere, but the majority that I have met are from the tri-state area, Conneticut, Massachusetts, and California. The most prevalent financial backgrounds are middle to high-class families, but again, there are all different financial backgrounds. Students are somewhat politically aware/active, finding left, right and center throughout campus. Students' financial futures are deifnitely discussed.
Pat
most from jersey and new york and PA the tri-state area mostly wealthy, moderate political views, heavily career oriented student body

I would say a very good amount of people at Villanova are Catholic, but many of those don't practice and don't care about church or anything to do with it. So don't think that if you're not Catholic you won't fit in, the worst part is just when you're not Catholic and you have to take theology and you don't know who Jesus' apostles are, while everyone else does. Most kids are really preppy, not so much popped collars, but think jcrew cardigans, lots of argyle, sheersucker printed stuff and just expensive clothing all around. Everyone is very concerned with their image, and a lot of girls get up extra early in the morning to make sure they look like they're about to hit the runway. It seems that most kids are really rich, and if they actually aren't, they still make sure their wardrobes reflect it. Everytime i see someone who looks a bit alternative, aka skinny jeans, american apparel hoodies and cool hair, i can't help but feel bad because they just look so out of place amongst the jcrew catalogue models next to them. There are also normal kids who are pretty cool, and then there are those who are really into service trips and habitat for humanity and that sort of thing. Villanova is known for its service oreinted students, so those types of people can easily fit in as well.

Completely depends on what group of people you are hanging out with
