Describe the students at Washington State University.

Courtney

If you don't want to succeed here, then you wont. If you want, their are groups for every interest, intermural sports, clubs within majors, and lots of activities for all students. There are cultural clubs, movies on the weekends, an amazing Greek System, and plenty of organizations to help you succeed.

Sean

In my experience, there are many different kinds of people in the WSU student body. As a whole, we are well-rounded. Whatever your interests, there is someone who shares them.

Chris

The student body is admittedly mostly white. That said, there is no obvious divide between races among the students, as is seen in many schools that have large minority populations. It is a laid back group of students, with race and socioeconomic status having no effect on groups of friends. Most of the students from WSU come from Western Washington, although there is a large population from Spokane.

Bridget

Very passionate for what they believe in. All students accepted.

Jennifer

Students are very casual going to class. It's normal to see the majority of students in sweats or a sweatshirt. Most Washington State students are from the west side of the state. Most students are fairly liberal unless they are from around this area.

Chris

Our student body is amazing, hands down. We have so much school spirit, we are a family. WSU students are involved, and get to know each other. Everyone makes me feel so comfortable.

Mel

I feel like student body of WSU comes from all over. Yes, mainly the students who attend are Washington state residents but there are also a lot of students from other states and even other countries. Our school is pretty diverse considering where we are located. It's kind of surprising actually...

Alisyn

Is really active in the community, everyone is apart of something, Greek Life, highly recomened! community service, clubs, whatever is out there we do!

Robin

Is really diverse. People come from all kinds of different backgrounds. While it is not very racially diverse, people's family situations, financial status, and hometown vary greatly.

Chelsea

Many students wear sweats to class- something that apparently doesn't happen on other campuses. I don't think anyone would ever feel left out here because I think people are accepting and there are so many clubs and groups that you would always be able to find someone to be friends with. As I said earlier, everyone has being a Coug in common and that in itself creates a bond.
