What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
The most important piece of advice for helping myself to make the transition from high school to college would definitely be to learn a way to efficiently manage my time. Adjusting to a college schedule is a significant change from the way a high school schedule is designed. The breaks between classes in college can sometimes be several hours, and those several hours could be used to get ahead on a reading assignment in a class or to review material for an exam in the class that is coming up later that day. I certainly did not always use my time as effectively as I could have during college, but I got by and did very well regardless. For others, inefficiently managing time could make a crucial difference in their performance.
Along with efficiently managing time for academics, I would advise that time must also be made to just enjoy the experience of college. I worked two part-time jobs during college and was a commuter, and I always found myself rushing home after classes to go directly to work or get something else done. My job was beneficial to me, but I wish I had experienced more on campus.

I wish I had been more prepared for the conservative-type campus that it is. I am much more liberal than many of my classmates, and although I have found friends who share similar views, it is still a very conservative school.

What is your overall opinion of this school?
Waynesburg University offers students an amazing community to study in. Everyone on campus is like a family. Because the campus is so small, it's hard to get from place to place without seeing someone that you know. The class sizes are smaller, and the instructors really seem to care about your learning. A lot of people on campus share in my faith and it's really been a blessing to attend Waynesburg. I've grown in ways that I've never expected. The only downfalls to the school are the price, the underclassmen dorms, and the food. The tuition is very high for the education received. The underclassmen dorms are very small and hot all year long. The food is practically the same everyday, not great, and pricey.

What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
Since the school's tuition is so high, a lot of people think that our students are stuck up. While this is true of some students, it isn't true of everyone. You just have to be open and willing to give people a chance and get to know them better.
