I have loved my first two years here but with the pandemic, have really come to appreciate it. Being a small school and community has big advantages. Remote learning works better with a small class size that allows you to be known to your professors. Since my classes are small, I don\'t feel like I lost a personal touch. It has not affected my learning nor the academic rigor. Although, I miss in person classes. We are a small school, so I am not as scared of being infected as I would be at a large school. I love our small community. We are all being careful, but I don\'t feel isolated. The academics are strong here. The town is kind of low key with not much to do. But the greek system is active and welcoming. There is another college in Fulton, so it does have a college town feel. My first two years here were really fun and formative. The school has a lot of history and traditions. Hopefully, things will be back to normal by the time I graduated. Either way, it will be bittersweet.

It’s a great school, and I’m excited to go there for college.

Madison - 05/24/2019

I have visited Westminster 4 times and I absolutely love it. Everyone is friendly, optimistic, and understanding. I will be attending this fall and could not feel more excited, safe, and intuitive. I would definitely encourage others students to attend Westminster despite the expenses.

ANDREW - 03/06/2019

As I have explored my options for college, I have visited over a dozen different college campuses, not including campuses that I have been to for high school sporting events or competitions. Westminster has by far the most outgoing, accessible campus and faculty of all I've seen.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If i could go back and talk to myself as a senior, I would tell myself to keep pushing on and finish the year strong. Just because you are a senior in high school does not give you the opportuiny to just put cruise mode on and forget about all of your problems. I completely understand that athletically, you want to make it to the next level but you also have to realize that you can't get anywhere athletically without the grades that you originally strived for when you cane into high school as a freshman. No matter what happens on a daily basis, you can't let it affect your school work and the ability to get things done so you can be that much closer to your goals. You do not want to be the man in the future that wishes he would have done more to better prepare himself for the future. You need to get everything done now so the future will be a breeze!

  11. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

One of the most frustrating things about my school is that it has a goal to grow and reach a cap of 1000 students but has not made some of the necessary changes that go along with this increase in students. Although the increase is not a lot, and the campus is still small, the administration still needs to pay close attention to what students feel they need in response to these changes (example, more professors in a certain subject area, or more sections of classes offered each semester).

  12. What's unique about your campus?

I consider the small class sizes and the student to teacher ratio to be one of the best things bout my school. It is awesome because the ratio is 14:1, and all the teachers are real understanding. The largest class size is no more than 35 kids, but on average it is somewhere around 25 kids.
