It's a good college, they're a lot of good professor's there that help you out a lot, and there are a ton of different classes to take from. The food is good too, the school just changed and hired new dining staff, so the food is a little bit different because theres different cooks. What I like the most out of the school is that there are so many learning opportunities and resources the school provides for you, and they provide a lot of help and quiet spaces for you to do your work as well.

So far, from what I have experienced, I know that the college is there for me. The atmosphere, and the vibe they give off is just so warm and welcoming. Not only are they welcoming and friendly, but they are an extremely accepting group of individuals. Many from different cultures and backgrounds gathered in one place, exploring what they aim to be, and what they aim to achieve. I do believe that everyone is helping one another out in some sort of way and that alone is incredible.

a little overpriced for the education you receive. The campus is confusing and difficult to navigate. Certain classes assign mandatory books that are impossible to find. The student adviser i met with didn't really seem to care, just wanted to get me out of her office as soon as possible.

Do not go here for nursing! Horrible program kick people out left and right, they don’t support the students, they write people up if their scrubs aren’t hemmed! Even if they have excellent grades. They’ve kicked people out for not getting the blood pressure reading exactly on when the students are already licensed nursing assistance and had to do that to get that license with one semester left in the program! After spending all that money, all that time, all that effort, all prerequisites done to have one semester left and to be kicked out for not being able to get a blood pressure reading exactly on! 100% on the med math excellent grades A’s in the anatomy prerequisite courses 100% on the med math, excellent grades. A’s in the anatomy prerequisite courses, b in micro and b in pharm , and they couldn’t teach a student with these grades how to do a blood pressure reading when the student already does it in their line of work every day as an LNA . It’s insane it’s highway robbery ! I don’t know what they’re trying to pull there but I’ve gone on to graduate with a 4.0 in healthcare administration at another university and I’m now working on my MBA with a concentration in healthcare management. The other classes seem fine for the most part but the nursing program not so much!

The lab courses are hard. The area of town where the college is located is not the greatest. However, the teachers are nice and quickly respond to any questions or emails. But they are slow to grade papers. The people in my class are really nice and have formed study groups.

It is a fantastic school for people that want a small college. The smaller class sizes allow for more personal interaction between students and teachers. It's a rather laid back kind of school, but hard work is definitely rewarded. The teachers are great and can always be emailed with a question or problem, and they response quickly. The cafe also serves great food.

I love that school. The price and the education is well worth it. I made so many friends at this school. I still communicate with many of them. Students work so much better in a buddy buddy system and I’m glad there are resources to help with setting meetings up together.

I am very impressed with NCC. I believe I made an excellent choice in starting my education here. It is very affordable but not lacking in quality. I was pleased with all of my teachers in the first semester and am looking forward to my second semester. I have applied to the competitive nursing program (only 24 seats) and would be thrilled to be accepted.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Hey high school self. I know you've just graduated and want to take a year off to know what you want to do, but don't let yourself stagnate. You don't have to settle for a job you hate because you think things will turn out better on their own. You've got to get out there and achieve your goals yourself. Simply going to college won't bring success, and you need to realize this. Don't depend on the institution to give you achievement. Depend on yourself for it. When you embark on whatever course of study you choose - and it could very well be something different than you think you want right now, as your future self can attest - give it your all, know what the end goal is, and always be reaching out beyond the borders of the college towards opportunities in the real world. It's easy to work hard all the time for that A+, but remember to work hard for the skills that A+ will bring you, that will carry you beyond school and into a rewarding and fruitful career.
