I am a new student this is my first semester with them, however I have had great help during enrollment. I am 45 it's been years since being in school the advisors and administration has made this so efficient and easy for me. They even transferred my credits for my time in the military. Columbia Southern University is a straight to the point they don't require all the extra bells and whistles to collect more money. I chose them over several other options and would recommend them to anyone wanting to return to school.

It is easy to enroll and they actually assist any military affiliated personnel that wants to attend.

Columbia Southern University FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Columbia Southern University?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Columbia Southern University is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Make a plan and stick to it. I would have seen a counselor much earlier on and worked harder at figuring out exactly what courses I needed instead of choosing most of them myself. I find that I ended up with many courses that didn't apply to what I was doing and the rules for what was needed changed as time went on because I had to step away from my education for various reasons - mostly financial. I would also seek more scholarship oppurtunities so that I could have finished in a more timely fashion.

  3. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

I was so excited to find the program I wanted at a school that would help me find financial aid and succeed. I also like that I get a discount if I come back for graduate work.

  4. Describe the students at your school.

Columbia Southern University is an online school; therefore the only interaction with other students is via Blackboard. However, the experience was pleasant and professional. As online students, the majority of us are adults with full time careers and family responsibilities. They were always many subjects to cover, and many experiences to be shared at CSU, and I would describe all of my classmates as driven and dedicated individuals who shared a common purpose to expand their educational and professional careers; while enriching their personal lives.

  5. What kind of person should not attend this school?

Seeing that I am doing the online program here at CSU, this requires great dedication. If you as a student have a hard time with procrastination and doing things last minute, then it would be in your best interest to find another school. CSU will not continuously remind you that homework is due so it is up to the student to keep track of when their assignments are due and always follow the rubric. If a person is unorganized and has a hard time following directions, I will assure you that you will not be successful here at CSU.
