1. Academic Programs:
Troy University offers a variety of strong academic programs, and if they have specific courses or degrees that match your goals, that would be a great point to highlight. For example, if they have a strong English, writing, or arts program, that could tie into your love for book reviews, painting, and music.
2. Extracurricular Activities:
Since you enjoy creative activities, you might be interested in Troy’s art clubs, writing workshops, or music-related groups. If they have opportunities for students to showcase their work, that could be a major attraction.
3. Campus Environment:
You could mention what you find appealing about the campus—whether it’s the sense of community, student support services, or a location that suits your lifestyle. If you like a balance of academics and creative expression, a campus that fosters both would be ideal.

I think it is a pretty decent contender as far as universities go, I don't feel like I have been totally screwed for every dollar and cent in my bank account. The Financial aid team is actually really helpful in navigating enrollment and finding loans. There are plenty of on campus jobs as well, the school takes very impressive pride in its landscaping, and I am sure most of the team that takes care of it is a student body! Small class sizes help you get to know your profs as well!

If you prefer a smaller school that's not too overwhelming, Troy is an excellent choice. The campus is easy to navigate, and you can walk to any spot within 10 minutes or less. I have noticed that parking on campus is limited and could use some improvement. Although the campus is small enough to walk around, it can be quite challenging for individuals who own a car to find a parking spot near the academic buildings and dorms.

Hi, my name is Joshua Collier and this is my first year attending Troy University. So far, I enjoy the fact that the facility is military friendly, which is a plus for me as a result of my military service and being a veteran. I enjoy the fact that the facility is neat and clean and everything is accessible and easy to locate. There is a computer room which allows me to stay after class and do additional research and it also allows me to complete assignments I have yet to finish. As of now, my encounters with the staff are friendly and they are eager to assist and help with any assignments that may cause some trouble. My peers are also friendly and are willing to lend a helping hand. overall, I feel safe and content at the university and as of now have not had any issues or problems with the staff or students.

Troy University is a great college to be apart of because it is extremely diverse, which makes it a very unique school. Troy is known for its innovation in offering both in-class and online schooling which is amazing! The staff they have at Troy are also great at making sure you have everything you need to succeed and if any problems arise they are there to help you work through it!
Dominique
It's good school and provides a lot of majors, which is mainly why I transferred to Troy University.

My overall opinion of Troy University is that it is the best decision I have ever made in my life. The academics and culture are integrated, which makes it the best college that one can attend. This college has made me into an amazing intellectual individual.

I think Troy will be a great fit for me and I am excited to attend. The campus looks wonderful and is close enough to walk which is a big deal for me and the housing is exquisite. Like I stated earlier I am more than excited to attend Troy in the coming semester

I am currently enrolled as a freshman at Troy University and I love being a trojan! I live on campus and the housing service along with the RA's chosen are all great. The University isn't too big nor is it too small, just right in my opinion. Most of the facilities are fairly new and look great. Everything on campus is great from the dining hall all the way to academics. There is a lot to get involved with and for anyone considering Troy University, I highly recommend it. I have learned so much just from my first semester and I am grateful to be a Trojan!

I hope to get accepted

Troy University is a place that feels like a home away from home. I’ve never once met anyone unkind at the campus. Individuals are very involved with the school and are always there to meet new people. It’s a pleasant place to be. Troy University is an amazing school to be apart of !

I love it here! I am very happy that I applied and I got the chance to come here. The people here are really nice, dorms are great food is amazing. The shops on campus could use a wider variety, but since we're so close to Walmart it makes things a lot easier. Thanks, Troy!

It is a beautiful campus and the perfect size for anyone coming out of a medium size high school. The teachers are always there and you can always reach out to them and you always have access to their classrooms. Greek life is really big but you’re not frowned upon if you don’t join. They have Chick-fil-A and multiple other restaurants that are accessible students. All the restaurants are right around student storms. If you’re struggling to find a college thats big yet small Troy is your place.

I can’t say a lot about the college but, honestly the facilities are very accessible ans enjoyable. Books are pretty expensive if you are buying them through the college website. I recommend getting the books on amazon; they are around 65% cheaper...

I absolutely love Troy! The campus is clean and well maintained. I completely feel safe here and everyone is so nice! There are a variety of sports that are available to play or watch, numerous sororities and fraternities for those interested in the Greek life, and the Student Government program offers a lot of information especially for new freshman and those transferring in.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back and talk to my high school senior self, I'd tell myself to have a plan. When I came to college four years ago, I really did not know what I was getting myself into. From the age 4-17, I attended the same Private Christian school so moving three hours away to attend a Public Secular university would be a culture shock. Had I known then what I know how I would've been active on campus. Of course socializing in a place where I know no one is a challenge. I would have told myself to do more research on my major so that I'd have a life after undergrad plan. After getting a Bachelors, life gets real.
The best thing about Troy University is the diverse and amicable student body. The assortment of different cultures and backgrounds all composited together under the same roof is short of incredible. This aids in making new friends regardless of ethnicity or cultural differences.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
Though I do not see many things terrible about Troy University, I do wish the off-campus sites would offer more in-class courses as opposed to online - the interaction and face-to-face communications provide a more effective learning environment, in my opinion.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
Sadly the people. The school is great, the teachers are friendly and the campus is beautiful. The only thing that could sour Troy is the people, but people who make an experience not so fun can be found everywhere. Troy has taught me that the most important education I can get is the one where I do whatever it takes to succeed in all types of environments. People will put you down no matter what class, race, sex, religion, or person you are and Troy has taught me to stand up for myself. Our moto says it all.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Troy University is not known as a party much like Alabama State University. It is not as well-known as the University of Alabama. It is extremely diverse, which makes the school unique from the other schools I once considered. There are people from all walks of life here.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The person who should definitely not attend this school is the one who considers video games, Facebook, MySpace, and Rap the center of the universe. Troy has a strong reputation as a fine university with a rich heritage of teacher education, business, and science. As an art education graduate, I can tell you that academics and fieldwork are key in the curriculum, as they are in many majors. Those who simply do not apply themselves or even get involved in outside life minimally should consider other alternatives for their future.
yes. geodesy and geodetics. study alot. yes class participation is common. yes. students are competitive. yes i see them outside of class most are very nice. troys academic requirements are good. hopefully getting a job.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
i am on the rodeo team and spend alot of time with my fellow teamates. i often spend time with other athletes. live off campus. athletic events are popular and i enjoy them. single. tuesday at 2 am studying. people party alot. all there is to do here is drink, school, and practice. went home for spring break. nothing goin to bar but most often going to rodeo. sometimes sit around fire and drink.
just right. most people i talk to respect that i go to troy. in the lab. at rodeo arena practicing. good administration. the old professors need to go let some new ideas in with new professors. parking is terrible. if you pay three thousand dollars in tuition you should not have to buy a parking decal. there is some school pride more needed. walkin out at half time during football game to be acknowledged for winning troys first national championship in rodeo. most frequent complains are food and parking.
