The school is very nice, and the students are great to be around and talk to I'd really recommend this HBCU to future students. The weather is nice as well then the view from the dorms is even better while the school is constantly building onto it making it even more exciting to be on the campus.

A&M is a great school with great opportunities to grow and learn. Much of the education happens outside the classroom with the activities, community service and campus wide projects that bring students together.

It is a decent school of going for certain accredited degree programs. If not one of those you just gotta he socially active. The school hosts a variety of events for students to attend but rarely seems interested in what the students want to do. Meaning our homecoming is rarely the way we would like things to go.

I personally like A&M. For me I learned that sometimes you have to get involved to actually enjoy yourself. I was in the University Choir. There are so may activities around campus. Professors you have to want to learn they are not forcing anything.

Alabama A&M really envelops the concept of family. No matter where you are, who you are or what your situation may look like, you can know there a several people in your corner, even if you haven't met them yet. Their goal is obvious in encouraging students to strive for success and create careers for themselves that will take them far in life. There is so much pride and school spirit wherever you end up on campus and the unity is beautiful.

Alabama A&M is a great HBCU that you should at least consider if you plan on going to one. A&M has a lot of diversity on the campus, and offers great extracurricular activities to keep you involved at all times. As a current freshman, there are a few problems the university can tweak to make the college life better. For example, the dorms are kind of piss poor. They aren't the “best” to be exact, but it could use a lot of improvement to make the students feel at home. Another problem is the lack of eatery places on campus, which could use a huge upgrade for the number of students that continue to come stay on campus. As far as eatery places, A&M campus is minutes away from various restaurants that offer a variety of nourishments that students seem to enjoy as they tend to grab food off campus rather than on campus. As far as the party scene, it couldn't get any better at “The Hill.” The party life at A&M is bittersweet that has everybody enjoying a good time out with close friends and others. When it comes to academics, certain classes can be rough at times, but all it takes is work ethic and STUDYING. Professors can't stress that enough, if you don't study, you won't last very long. But the classes are engaging and productive, helping you network with other students and professors who may help you back in the long run. Overall, A&M is a great college choice if you are looking at HBCUs, although there are some cons about the school, the pros outweigh the cons. As long as you network with others, your experience is going to be worthwhile.

There are many opinions that I have about Alabama A & M University; however my overall opinion is that it is a good school that needs a bit of work. Specifically, I feel as if the university should be more accommodating to their students and give everyone the chance to feel happy. Although college gets rough for everyone, I feel as if there are some experiences that students should not have to undergo such as some of the horrible experiences that I have been through. The university does a wonderful job at hosting student events, that are not only fun but serious; however, I feel as if there could be more things to get students involved.

As a Junior here at Alabama A&M University I can say that my school has its ups and downs. The saying “college is what you make it” is very true. This school could be all of that and a bag of chips if you stay on your A-Game because they do offer outstanding scholarships. However, self control and responsibility is necessary since we are known to be a party school. It becomes easy to get carried away. Every HBCU has problems, so I appreciate where I was placed through the good and bad. You can build authentic relationships with people here that will last for a lifetime, and I appreciate that there are opportunities for Bible study. Just like any other school, drama does exist, but when it’s time to come together, we bond like family to accomplish the task at hand.

My overall opinion of Alabama A & M is that it is a great school. The professors are very helpful when you don't understand an assignment or you are having trouble understanding the lesson today. The campus food is okay, or maybe I am just a picky eater. The student life is amazing and the students want you to succeed just as much as the professors. I totally recommend this school if you are looking for different experiences!

I think Alabama A&M University is a great school, where you establish connections, make lifelong friends, gain new experiences, and learn a lot not only academically, but socially and culturally as well, along the way. Alabama A&M University provides an open and inviting environment for young black men and women to gain more knowledge and understanding, as well as great opportunities to help better their future after college.

My overall opinion of Alabama A&M University is that I like the school. Everyone kind of stay in their on lane and do their own thing. It really feels like a big family. There isn't to much violent activity going on campus. For the most part everybody is really there to get their lesson and obtain a degree. I feel like for the most part everyone is doing something productive. If students aren't in extracurricular activities then the students are working or studying. Alabama A&M University gives everyone an opportunity. I think that is why I gravitated towards this school the most. Most people don't choose A&M, A&M chooses you! Most of the people that come to this school fairly enjoys it. The professors that I've had in the past always work with me and keep me updated on the things that I needed to do improve my grades. I've gained some long lasting friends and memories that'll never forget and for that I am truly grateful for the opportunity to get the chance to come to college.

When I visited Alabama A&M University " The Hill" I loved it! It felt like a family. The tour guides were really nice and informative. Even the students around campus were pleasurable everyone spoke even if they didn't know you.

Alabama A&M, Home of the maroon and white Bulldogs, is an illustrious University where students of all shapes and sizes prosper. For students who love to indulge in the authenticities of rich heritage, on top of a regularly celebrated school pride, then this school is where they should be.
Alabama A&M has one of the absolute best STEM programs in the nation; however, that is not all we here on the Hill are known for. Above all, this prestigious university host many on-campus functions, that reflect the campus founder, William Hooper Council's core beliefs of service being sovereignty. Once every year, there is a mandatory community service event held to commemorate our campus founder's vision. In addition to community service, A&M partners with the long list of nationally credited organizations that consistently spread peace, love, and positivity to invested communities or schools in the proximity such as greek fraternities and sororities and also St. Jude (that is just a slight few).
In closing, Alabama A&M is for those prospective students seeking a better and brighter future for themselves. Although this school has received massive backlash last year for the unsanitary conditions of the lunchroom, since then, they have newly improved the cafe areas on campus and funded an on-campus student organization to assist with the dismantling of those poor practices. Other than that, we have a rocking band and one of the top women's volleyball teams in the nation, that perform at a high level every time you see them. In all honesty, this is one of the very few universities where you can start here and go anywhere!

It is a life-changing school for the better. Great scenic campus, huge college football culture, historic monuments and buildings, the list is endless! From the students to the staff and faculty, you could feel the southern hospitality shown to out-of-state students

This school is great, I plan on applying here in the fall. I want to become a school social worker and I feel like they will help me achieve my goals and aspirations. This school will help benefit my future by supplying the love and support through the family environment and the student vs. faculty ratios.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Alabama A & M University is 87%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back to my senior year of high school, I would definitely apply for more scholarships, regardless of the dollar amount. I would take the ACT exam every time it was given because most scholarships use those scores when selecting recipients. I had no idea that college was so expensive.
I visited three schools during the fall of my senior year. I would visit several different colleges during the summer before my senior year. I would ask more questions about the costs associated with each individual college and the curriculum needed to become an Occupational Therapist.
While participating in sports and volunteer services, I would make a stronger effort to obtain references from teachers, my principal and volunteer coordinators. Something I learned the hard way is that it is very important to follow-up on contacts you’ve made. I would not assume that because someone is an adult, they would follow through on references without a friendly reminder from me.
I was a procrastinator in high school, always putting things off until the last minute. If I had a do over, I would complete projects as early as possible giving myself time to perfect certain things.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The frustrating thing about my school is they are not organized with the important things on campus. Every university have their problems and down falls but organization is the key to a successful school.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
If you are a big-city, party-type person, this school is definitely not for you. The school has many activities on campus, but they are basically meet and greet type activities, giving you the opportunity to network with your peers. There are very few coordinated off -campus activities because they want you to be able to concentrate on your courses during your Freshmen year.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
My school has a sense of school spirit that I have never seen before in my life. There are times where all the students, teachers, counselors, advisors, fans, friends, and family of the school come together as one and celebrate school spirit. The people who are involved in our community are very helpful and kind, and makes being an Alabama A&M bulldog an experience of a lifetime. This experience is one I want to finish and share with everyone that I know and will know, or anyone I will ever come in contact with in my lifetime.
Class participation is crucial at my school. About 20 percent of the students are very competitive, in a fun way. If you don't like to read or write a lot, this school is not for you.
