I think Alamance community college is a great school for any beginner college students. I will go over some of my favorite things. Number one is the affordability and resources. They offered free counseling, great financial resources, and great social resources. Another great thing they offer is security there is security updates and number you can call in case of a situation. Another thing they offer is for them to walk and take you to that class. Lastly I would love to talk about classes and teachers they offer great resources in and out of class. I lot of teachers will end class a little early to help any struggling students they also will respond to emails on time. They also do end of the semester review, for teachers and classes. They also have great math, writing and tutoring centers, which are open for all online and in person.

A good stepping stone before going to a major university because ACC prepares you and it gives you the college experience. If you are not ready to go to a university then ACC is where I would go. You can always get an associate degree first then you can transfer.

It is a wonderful place that really provides a sense of community. There are always events for students to unwind with or explore some during their years there and the school itself is very neat and well kept. Safety isn't an issue there and they have emergency call stations everywhere and the grounds are patrolled well. The school itself is right beside the Haw River which offers a wide place to spend some time studying outdoors in a comfortable environment.

I have been a student at Alamance Community College for three years now. I started in a dual-enrollment program in high school, and am continuing there for a year before transferring. It has been a great, reliable way to earn an education. The professors truly care about you and want you to succeed. It is a great school.

Alamance Community College's academic quality and the overall excellence in instruction have truly made this small, 2-year college a place where I can not only get my required courses completed for an extremely reasonable price but do so and really learn what I am being taught! The passion and enthusiasm of Alamance's instructors certainly have had (and will continue to have) a tremendous impact on the students who attend their classes.

When I graduated from high school, I was very unsure of where I wanted to go. I knew I wanted to go ahead and begin my general education, but at the same time I didn't want to start paying the high end prices of universities. Then someone brought up the idea of Community College. At first I was a bit opposed just because I was afraid of what other people who were already accepted and learning would think of me, but now after graduating from there I am so glad I went. Alamance Community College is a really great school, they have amazing classes as well as some pretty great teachers who are always there for you.

I have been very please with Alamance thus far. It is a great college to intend especially if you are like myself and will transferring to a 4 year University my Junior year. The Professor are there to help equip you and the education is fairly good. It has been a great start to my "college life" and I look forward to completing my time here! I would defiantly encourage any high school student unsure of what they want to do after graduating or for any student who wants to save some money and avoid an excessive amount of loan debt. You are able to get the education you need as well as saving a ton of money before transferring to the University of your choice! This route has been very productive and helpful for my needs and I hope this information is helpful for others unsure of what educations paths they want to take!

The people were generally quite friendly, however those who assist in advising can be less than helpful. There is no housing as it is a community college, but there are moderate apartments within a few miles. The faculty, for the most part, seems to care about their students and for the price paid, it is still a good value.

Overall Alamance Community college is a good college. The professors seem to be passionate about how well their students succeed. The courses are designed to help you learn things that are critical to know within your career. Alamance Community college offers hands on experience which is extremely important.

My overall opinion for Alamance Community College is that its the best choice I made when I graduated high school. As a first year in college Alamance offers an amazing curriculum based on your major. An if your undecided, advisors and administrators are there to help you explore and experience new things. The environment is pleasant and the campus is great. Alamance is a great school to attend to and the cost is great as well. I love being a part of a great school and being involve with such a great college community.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back in time I would tell myself to start at the school that you are most comfortable. I started out at a different college and almost dropped out because it was not a good fit. I would tell myself there is no shame in starting at a two year school if it is the right fit. Looking for small classes with students who are at the same point in life as you is really important. Having professors you can connect with and a student body you feel connected to makes all the difference in the world. That connection to the other students will help you achieve your goals and stay sane through the semester. Study groups and tutors will completly change your college experience and help you pass classes and understand the information. Following your heart is key in a successful college experience.
The type of person who should attend this school is anyone trying to get a certificate or degree fast and willing to put in the time to push themselves. They should be sociable and eager to learn because some classes are hard to get into.
Alamance Community College is best known for providing opportunities for all students, no matter their background. As an institution, ACC has allowed a multitude of students to achieve academic success despite being unable to enroll in a traditional four-year day school. Additionally, it provides vocational training for students whose career paths are non-academic in nature. Its best quality is its flexibility in scheduling; staff are wonderfully understanding of students who work, and nontraditional class settings (such as online classes) are not only available, but diverse. Overall, ACC is an environment in which all students can succeed.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
There are no sports in this school. A handful of clubs that are vague and not well organized. The clubs do not do alot in the school and do not meet that often or at times where many people can come. The SGA is quite and does not do a lot that can be seen or felt by the student body.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
Alamance Community College is a small school with small class sizes. There is a great academic advising center, as well as a great foreign language program. The school also has a very diverse student population.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The organization of the Health Science building is labeled the G building in all paper work but the name of the building is the Allied Health building. The A building rooms are not clearly marked and can be confusing to new students who are always lost.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
