I love it, huge campus, can makes so many new friends, the sports are a hit or miss for winning but fun to watch, weather is great, off campus areas are nice to relax and shop in, so many things offered which is so great. It is a good place to explore for the first time, which is usually what college students do.

Arizona State University-Downtown Phoenix feels like home, it might not be the same but somehow I don't feel as distant as I think I will, I am not there yet but i've visited once or twice and I just know that it's a place where I will thrive and live my best colleague experience, the community is incredible as well as the number of restaurants there is to explore, It looks easy to make friends and I am willing to have new experiences.

My dormitory at the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus is unfortunately the most enjoyable part of me being here. I share the floor with a bunch of other residents who make it a point to meet every month and facilitate study circles. It may come across as a meaningless touch, but it has even helped me settle in comfortably among the people here. I have no complaints about the culinary offerings – I have made the habit of going to one of the dining facilities which features a pasta corner which is probably not the best idea but absolutely delicious.
The campus itself is great. I really like how the library has study areas which are so comfortable that I often devote hours on end into my studies without even realizing it. The gym has also come in handy for me in terms of maintaining a good level of physical activity. I take a pretty intimate biology class where my lecturer actually remembers my face and calls me by my name, and once, after class, he’d spare a few words from his schedule simply to clarify my queries about graduate courses which I genuinely appreciated.
Another point that I appreciate a lot is the possibility of going around the city straight from the campus. Just around the corner from the premises is my favourite coffee shop which has the best chai lattes. In this regard, I frequently go for a leisurely stroll to that place after my lectures in order to unwind and contemplate.
All in all, the factor including school, its surroundings, and the place of the city has assimilated ASU Downtown Phoenix as a locality where I can genuinely consider it home. It has enlightened the space where I can advance, both as a student and an individual.

I went to school in Arizona since the fifth grade and I will say ASU is so much more than what the state promotes. ASU has so many different opportunities to take advantage of and we our have some of the top programs in the country for multiple different majors.

I enjoy my time at ASU. I have met some amazing people, and have found new passions. I believe that there are always things that could be better, but I don't have any major issues. I believe that the housing could be better, but I am only planning on living in the dorm for the first year so its not that big of deal.

My overall opinion of Arizona State University- Downtown Phoenix is mostly positive. The classrooms and facilities are new and kept clean and aesthetically pleasing. There are many restaurants to eat at around here, and the dining hall has decent options every day. On-campus living at least at Gordon Commons is very nice, and the dorms although small make good use of the space. One big issue is the amount of homeless people around the area, but in general, all school facilities including the gym are no more than a 5-minute walk away. Overall it is a great campus to live at however if you are looking for a more eventful time, the Tempe campus has way more going on.

It's great for future medical students. I definitely recommend commiting to school though and if you have to work part-time because you want to pay off as much debt/loans as you can before you head on to any specialized school (MD, OD, PT, etc.). Overall, enjoy life and don't feel stressed out about school, everything will work out with patience and commitment.

Arizona State University is an overall great school! I have been to almost every campus for this university as the school is able to provide transportation to and from each campus, and the Downtown Phoenix campus is one of the nicest I have been to. Very accessible and allows for diverse experiences to the students are factors that allow for Arizona State University-Downtown Phoenix to be a great school.

In my opinion Arizona State University- Downtown Phoenix is an okay school. The three best things that I like about this University so far is the class options, me living with my bestfriend, and the quietness of the dorms. I am really able to study without the distractions. The 2 things I dislike about the ASU downtown campus is the amount of homeless people there is outside, I feel unsafe walking out without someone with me. And The food, I spent so much more money that I would like to eating out because the food they serve is not good at all.

As a journalism major, The Downtown Phoenix campus at ASU is a great place to get your education. The campus offers several clubs that will help you get some experience working in the field even in your freshman year. This campus is small, so the majority of the buildings are within walking distance. The only thing I would recommend is to always hang out in groups.

I graduated from GC at Goshen Indiana, then moved to Phoenix to attend Arizona state university. Heard amazing thing about it, and was interested in attending it. It's an amazing university, amazing teachers, amazing sports and you get to learn a lot.

I will be attending Arizona State University- Downtown Phoenix campus in the fall, and when I took my last visit I felt like I was at home and couldn’t wait to be apart of the ASU family. While on my visit, I was able to see students and faculty engage with one another and I felt like professors were easy to talk too.

I believe it is a great campus that invites and allows lots of room for creativity and hard work. Outside of campus can sometimes be scary due to the location, but there is always some sort of danger when living in a big city. I love all of the events the campus hosts so it never feels boring or like there's nothing to do. They are also very helpful and supportive to anyone who needs help with academics and there are plenty of easily accessible resources and tutors.

I think it is a great school. My major is Sports Journalism and I am in the Walter Cronkite School of Mass Communication and Journalism. The one thing that I love about the school is that they want students to get involved in a bunch of activities and get an internship early on in your career. They really strive to get students in a good starting position in their careers and help direct you in the right direction to your goals. From my first year at ASU, I have had so much fun meeting new people and working with them.

The Arizona State University - Downtown Phoenix campus is a very convenient location and close to many things downtown. There is a great opportunity to go to museums, sports events, and other social gatherings in Downtown Phoenix, around campus. The light rail is close to campus, which can get you to many places in the Phoenix Metro area.

I would tell myself to try harder and not give up when things are hard.
My classmates and I take advantage of the opportunity to getting the chance to have the dean of students speak in one of their classes to provide the insight that we need to strieve from excellence in our line of work.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I beileve that the teachers and staff have been great and I have learned a lot. Never the less, some students do not really put a lot of effort to school, which makes me wonder, whose fault is it? Other than that I think that Arizona State University is awesome for me and they are well structured and have good sources.

When I was deciding where I was going to attend college, I knew I wanted to stay in state. I had already made up my mind to be a nursing major so I saw four options: Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, and Glendale Community College. I chose ASU since I was able to move out and start my own life but I was only a twenty minute drive from home. I also loved that I was going to be on the smaller downtown campus of a much larger university. ASU felt like home since day one.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I would have known how expensive it is to live without any further financial help from my parents. My parents helped me pay for what needed to be paid for after scholarships' assistance ran out, so they told me that from there, I was on my own financially. I soon realized that taking on a part-time job would be very helpful and prevented me from having to be solely dependent on the cafeteria for food as I was financially able to eat out every now and then.
For reasons I'll probably never understand, my grandfather (who raised me) managed to impress upon me a love of knowledge and a passion for learning. What better place to go for both than college? Arizona State has also provided me countless opportunities to learn outside of the classroom. The experiences I've received during my time in college, which I've been fortunate enough to share with people I've come to care strongly about, will remain with me for life. In that sense, my education will never truly end.
The type of person that should attend this school is someone who is ready to learn, who is determined to strive for their career goals, who is dedicated to their study, who is willing to overcome obstacles (like that of paying for school), who will attend class, and lastly someone who will not give up and drop out.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The downtown campus is more business associated. If a student isnt eager to learn and actually succeed in achieving their goal in the career they have chosen for themselves they are not going to like the environment that the school is centered on. This campus is pretty mellow and down-to-earth at times but is still connected to the main campus as a whole.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
