Arizona State University-West is a great school choice. They have smaller classes, giving the students a more intimate and close relationship with their professors. Not only do they have small classes they also have a more family feeling community. Everyone seems so nice, and welcoming. ASU-West is also located in a great spot, making it convenient for getting needed supplies while attending. Though there are many good things about the campus, the specific location has a limited amount of major options. Though ASU as a whole offers many majors, the west campus only offers a limited amount of those, making it so students are limited. Overall though ASU is an amazing option for students looking for something a little more affordable.

I love this campus so much. The people are amazing, the staff is wonderful, and the environment is excellent. I love this campus, they are cute traditions, and everyone is extremely innovative and creative. Go to asu west! You will have a great time!

I really like this school and its atmosphere. Everyone is very nice and open to starting a conversation with you. My teachers care about my education and are always open to help. The different facilities such as the library and lunch choices are my personal favorite places to be.

Arizona State University has exceeded all my expectations when it comes to their academics, programs offered, extracurricular activities, student life, and resources offered to students. It consistently set a high standard for other colleges and universities to follow and is an innovator in future career prep as well as current internship opportunities.

ASU West has a bit of a weird reputation, some of which is warranted but most of which is not. i found it was a perfect school for me: smaller classroom sizes, close knit friends, and plenty to do if you were interested. Sure, the opportunity is mainly found at the Tempe campus, but West has a myriad of great opportunities: I am now in medical school! It certainly has a "upgraded high school" vibe, but with the new on-campus housing and academic buildings being built, I have a feeling that it will become a hub for culture and opportunity on this side of town.

Arizona State University-West is a very calm and peaceful campus in which everyone respects our dedication to school. I love the environment ! Although this is my first year at ASU, I can say that they have done a great job in making new students feel welcomed.

Coming from a smaller high school and mid size graduating class, it was very nice to be able to go to a smaller campus, there was less of culture shock. The commute is decent and the parking is secure which is nice, if I have a late class I feel comfortable asking other students to walk me to my car. I also have met my lifelong best friend at this campus and I will always be thankful for this.
Brianna
I absolutely love how quiet and small the campus is. It is definitely the prettiest campus of them all. Everything is right at the tip of your fingers and so accessible to anybody it is a great feature to my academic and social life! Also having the policy department right on campus makes me feel safe at all times.

I’m a true sun devil !! Love it at Arizona state University. There are many activities you can participate in and the student morale is always high. Many of us take pride in our education and are thankful we are able to make it all come to fruition here at ASU!!
Kendra
It is much smaller than the other campuses, but due to its size, the community seems much closer. It seems that there is always something going on that anyone can join in. If you are a person that is more into a quiet scene, then there still a lot of areas that you can go to so you can focus solely on studying. The only downside to the West Campus is that outside of University-sponsored events, there isn't a lot of places to go to that is within a reasonable walking distance. Overall, I enjoy ASU so far.

I am applying to ASU West in fall 2020, it's a very exciting time for me because I heard so many great things that ASU has to offer. It will also be the first time where I will be alone in the world and I know that ASU will bring my towards the right direction to success.

I've been at this campus for 3 years now, almost 4, and my opinion has changed multiple times since I first arrived. Like with the rest of ASU's campuses, it can be a little overwhelming, but I find it to be the least overwhelming of them all. It's super easy to be involved here since it is such a small and close-knit campus. Likewise, if you don't push yourself out of your comfort zone, or you're like me and you are just a shy person overall, you can still find the group that you belong to. There is a variety of clubs on campus that you can join.
Sharon
My overall opinion of ASU West is a great campus. Even though it is a mellow and quiet campus, I feel utterly safe and secure there. The people are so kind and nice as well as the professors. There are so many great opportunities there and the buildings look fairly new.
Alexandra
I love how small and intimate the campus is, it makes me feel closer to my classmates and makes going to class easy. The food on campus is amazing and serves no need to order food from off campus. The campus is incredibly safe as there are multiple policeman always patrolling the campus. The scenery is beautiful and the green trees and plants are very calming and put me at ease when I am stressed. The professors are very knowledgeable and hold regular office hours for any extra help, as well as answer questions in class.

Arizona State University is a good school. The teachers really are about their students and will go above and beyond in order to provide the best learning experience for the students. I love attending Arizona State University, I just wish parking was not so expensive.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I were to know then what I know now I would have been better prepared to know what programs and classes that I would take to complete my degree without the run-around of flip flopping between degrees. That I feel is something that happens to alot of new students and it's hard at the time to really know what is your passion before you actually take that first step and try new and different things.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
At Arizon State University they give you life skills from the moment you walk in. They train you to think and act as if youve already achieved what you could only imagine. Most colleges will give you the learning tools and all the knowledge, but no experience in your field. Here at Arizona State they give both the experience and the knowledge all in one. They want you to do great things now while youre still learning and not later.
Many of them are in their early twenties and are looking forward to finishing school and beginning their careers. They are intelligent, eager to learn and like most people, are looking to better their lives. There was one woman in my last class that has her Masters in education but has decided to receive a certificate in special education. I think she is quite driven and very admirable. I believe that most of my classmates, although younger than I, have much to offer their fellow classmates in terms of ideas and what it means to have an open mind.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The staff that work in the research departments that make decisions on who gets to work within the research labs or not. There appeared to be clique type environments within the research labs which I found unreasonable for people like myself who could have used the experience for my graduate school applications and I was not alotted that opportunity because I felt that I did not belong to that clique.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
A person that is not serious about school, and wants to party all the time should not attend this school. Also, a person who would prefer to be alone and lack interaction with other students.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about this school is how some of the professors are quite unprofessional. A couple of the lab professors do not dress appropriately and text during our lesson.
The kind of person that should attend school are the ones who are willing to give it all and actually come to school to learn and meet new people. The person who have a passion for whatever career they choose. Even if your undecided, you have to be capable of being able to explore different careers until you find the one your passionate for. You don't have to be rich to go to school that is the finacial aid and scholarship are for.
I love ASU West people really care about you here, if you need help with anything there is someone that is willing to help you out. There is tons of activities that students can attend.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
A lot of the events that most people go to are actually held at the other campuses, but the West Campus does host lacrosse as their major sport. But for the most part, if you're interested in spending a night or a weekend having fun, it would probably take place at the other campuses. It's mostly quiet on this campus, which isn't a bad thing, either.
