It sounds like Atlanta Metropolitan State College has a solid academic foundation and supportive professors, but maybe the social scene could use a bit more variety or ongoing engagement throughout the year to make the atmosphere feel livelier. Sometimes, colleges do rely heavily on kick-off events early in the year, but ongoing clubs or interest-based gatherings can help keep things more exciting. Have you thought about joining or suggesting additional student activities to liven things up?

I love Atlanta Metropolitan State College. I transferred from Georgia Gwinnett College two years ago and loved it every since. The professors are amazing and ALWAYS willing to help. The campus is a nice size and easy walking distance to the next class. The Student Life keeps the campus interesting. I believe that the school should have better food but then again I love to eat and try new things.

The school is a decent school not the best but definitely not the worse. Its a cheap school though if you want to work while going to school full time this is your best bet. Professors are the best thing about this school they understand you most likely have other stuff to attend to.

Atlanta Metropolitan State College does not have the housing that other universities have yet. It also does not have as many extracurricular activities. But it does have a good number of qualified professors who do all they can to see their students succeed.

It is an okay school for starting out. I do wish there would be more sports and things like that. Most of the teachers do a good job when teaching, but some could put a little bit more effort when they teach. There could also be more choices in the cafeteria instead of the usual food items we choose from.

If feel that Atlanta Metropolitan State College would be an decent school if they have more student involvement. Stating when students pitch ideas they shouldn’t be so quick to deny them. Yes, the idea can be new and something the college has never done before. You have to try new things, and would get a better view of what the students like. The food is not that bad, but it could be a little cheaper. In addition, there should be facility and student events. Which would make students and faculty more comfortable with each other. Other than that the school is ok.

Atlanta Metropolitan State College is providing more ways for students to get involved, and love their school community. Also, there are groups and organizations avaialble, but not much live events happen on campus that students always enjoy. I hope to become more involved to promote students to keep doing well in their studies, and to join clubs and organizations.

Atlanta Metropolitan is a good school if you are trying to get credits. Don't expect the full college experience. The professors are willing to help you out but its not like they will do all they can to help you succeed. The administration is very unorganized and its hard to get things done in a day.

I will love to go to this school.

College has a very good staff that is involved with student academics and class size is good for teacher and student interaction. Some proffesors are able to work with students with full time jobs. Improvement could be better in communicating deadlines to students regarding financial aid andcl registration.

It is a nice school where the staff are welcoming the teachers are always there to help even after class hours. The students help one another, in other words everybody in the college work as a team. The learning process is really adaptable and the library is open late hours.

Overall, Atlanta Metro is a pretty decent school. Like any other university, everyone's experience is not the same. I, personally, generally had great professors. My Psychology professor, Mrs. Chattfield, was the best instructor I've had so far. The food options, while tasty, aren't the healthiest. The lab, though "state of the art", isn't as stocked as one would expect. The campus, in my opinion, is nicely groomed. Currently, the school is undergoing some cosmetic construction which will greatly improve the already lovely landscape. The only negative I can think of is the lack of classes and convenient class times. There a quite a few classes that are mandatory for my major that either aren't offered at all, or are only offered late in the evening. Like I said in the beginning, my experience probably differs from that of other students. However, I believe that AMSC is a good community college, and shouldn't be counted out so quickly.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Atlanta Metropolitan State College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to take my time with senior year and not rush to get it over with and get to college. Enjoy it and only focus on school. I wish I could've applied more scholarships and grants, then I would've had a much better chance of getting into the Universiy of Akron becuase out of state tuitution is seriously no joke. It's very expensive.
I feel that Atlanta Metropolitan College is the best place to start your education before going away for school. I learned that school is not just for education, but also learning about people and how to develop friendships, through team work. This is the best thing about my school is people. The counselors are very helpful and the teacher are very helpful also. The teachers work with you and give you confidence that may or may not have been their before. I believe my time there at Atlanta Metropolitan College was very educational, in learning about art, science and people.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about Atlanta Metropolitan College is the lack of communication between the administration and the student. Being that the institution is relatively small and serves about two-thousand students there are too many delays when it comes to notifications of all types. It is important that students meet deadlines but it makes it when needed documentation arrives late because of an institution. The institutions admissions, registeur, and student fiscal affairs offers are affected the most by the lack of inter-communication. It is a situation that need be addressed and fixed.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Atlanta Metropolitan College is best for the ambitious student who would like to obtain an Associates' Degree and continue their education with the University System of Georgia. The institution is relatively inexpensive and offers a wide range of degree programs that attract students with different interest. A student that is not well organized will not do well in this institution. It requires a great deal of self- discipline and determination to graduate from AMC. If a student does not possess this qualities it will be difficult for them to make it through the program.
The kind of person that should attend this school is a student that is adventurous . A person willing to be a go getter and open minded. Atlanta Metropolitan College is a small school , but do to the cultural diversity of the school and the city places a major role in the activity in which he or she may participate in. I believe that this person will have fun and find future friends. Do to the schools population you way become popular and people know you do to making new friends. So being adventurous will help this person fit right in .
