Amelia - 08/20/2024

I went into my undergraduate career at Benedictine rather skeptical of the experience that I would have. I felt that I was attending solely because I knew how much my parents loved the school. I quickly found, however, that Benedictine was without a doubt the college for me and a place I quickly grew to call home. I fell in love with the lively Catholic atmosphere on campus, the dedicated faculty, the smaller class sizes, and the academic rigor. During my time at Benedictine, I grew so much spiritually, personally, and academically. While Benedictine may be in a small town, the big hearts of its faculty and students make it truly the best Catholic college in America.

I think that Benedictine is great for people looking for a small community based college with an extraordinary faith life! I have only visited one time but I loved it and it was definitely better than other colleges I have visited. They have also been very good about keeping in touch with me. Everyone lives on campus with I think is great because you get to know a lot more people and you will have many connection when you leave the school!

Lauren - 06/29/2020

I love Benedictine College. I never visited before deciding to attend there, but enrolling has been the best decision. Everyone on campus is very welcoming and the overall atmosphere is great. I have met many incredible people. The academics are great. The professors are really there for the students and are available to help in anyway they can.

It is the best experience I have ever had!

Benedictine College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Benedictine College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Benedictine College is 69%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

The advice I would give to myself is to be more decisive. Decide what you want to do with your life and just do it instead of waiting. Even if you decide later on in your college career that it isn't what you really want to do it is a start and you can always change your mind. If you have some college it is better than having no college to many employers and will therefore help you obtain a higher paying job. College life is hard but it is easier to obtain an education when you do not have a family yet, as I do. If I had gone to school before having children and before the economy had gone downhill I wouldn't be so worried about paying for it now. Being decisive will help in all areas of life, not just deciding what to go to college for.

I think people stereotype us because of our Catholic population, but in reality we aren't all that different. We are loud and like to have fun, cram for finals, and complain about the food; we just change it up a bit by adding God into our education.
