As someone that knows that they thrive off a small campus, Cal state east bay was the perfect fit for me. So far I feel so focused and not so concerned over the campus size, I enjoy the simplicity as to how to navigate the campus grounds and also how professors are very approachable. I do think east bay is the perfect place for someone that loves the views and small environements.

Overall solid experience! Located in a nice area and the quality of the education was great.

Tiffany - 12/27/2023

It is a reasonably sized campus with nice scenic trees and grass plus some new and old buildings. The social life is not so great if you’re not in a sport, greek life or club. There’s not much to do around the area without a car and around the city. Neighboring cities like san francisco and san jose are more social cities compared to this less populated and eventful city! The teachers and education seem average.

  11. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

One of the most frustrating aspects of California State East Bay is the lack of classes offered at various times of the day. As a working professional, I have a limited schedule of availablity and therefore enjoy taking night classes or those geared toward working adults. Unfortunately, my experience has been that various courses, especially general education courses, can be difficult to fit into a busy schedule since these will only be offered at a certain time with no more than one course option per quarter. This forces me to change my work schedule around my school schedule.
