I love how small it is. Everyone of my peers are so nice and I am included in everything they do. I appreciate that my professors take the time to help me if needed. I am on the swim team, and my coach is motivating in the best way. She values academics over everything and the team studies together.

I love Campbellsville University for its diversity thought the campus inside and outside of the classroom. Being a Christian based campus everyone on campus is there with open arms and a gracious smile to help with anything and everything that a student may need. This campus truly has become my new home.

I personally love Campbellsville. I enjoy the small, close knit environment. That's one of the reasons I choose to attend Campbellsville. You can get 1 on 1 time with your professor so that they can explain things you might have missed. The professors take the time to get to know you so that they can provide a more comfortable learning experience.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

?Kelly, you are making the right decision! You will love Campbellsville. Be ready for your life to change. You are a strong girl, but you will be pulled in many different directions so stay true to yourself. One thing you?ve got to be prepared for is meeting people and knowing how to connect with them. Leaving all of your friends behind is not going to be as hard as you think; you will meet many more amazing people. Get involved with the Baptist Campus Ministries as soon as you get there! You will regret it if you don?t. Stop worrying about choosing a major. You?re going to change your mind so much in the first semester that if you continually change your major you will begin to get on your advisors nerves. It really is no big deal; you have a while to think about it.You HAVE to take chemistry your senior year. Yes, it sucks, but it will suck even more when you get to college. Buy some rain boots BEFORE you go! If it is raining anywhere in the world, it is probably raining in Campbellsville. Stop worrying. You are doing the right thing.?

  5. What kind of person should attend this school?

Campbellsville is a small city, so if you aren't a small town type of person, Campbellsville is not for you. Sure, there are plenty of things to do on campus, but I know that life beyond the campus is something many students look for; Campbellsville doesn't have as much to offer in that area than universities in larger cities. To attend this school you must also be willing to obey rules, so I would urge someone to look into this before they choose CU. The university is pretty strict when it comes to things like drugs and alcohol.

  10. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

How friendly everyone is and how much the proffesors want to see you succeed. They really care and get to know you by name, I've never been in a class larger than 35. When you see them around campus they stop and talk to you, even the president. I love my school's emphasis on servant leadership. Everyday the president gets up at 6AM and walks aroudn the campus picking up trash. It's a lead by example school from the top down. The Freshman manditory mentor program is great to get freshmen oriented.

  11. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

There is such an emphasis on sports here. I understand that they pay for your college and they earn the school a lot of money, but for those of us who don't play sports we kind of get left behind when it comes to things like financial aid. It would just be nice if myself like many of our athletes didn't have such a significant bill to pay after I graduate.

  12. What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about Campbellsville University is that it is a small campus and the professors are always willing to help you. You are able to get one -on-one attention from them and they actually care about what is going on in your life. Also the fact that Campbellsville is so small, you don't need to leave for class more then 5 or 10 minutes early to get there on time. So that's really great when you have to put the final touches on a project before running off to class!

  14. What are the academics like at your school?

Class participation is required in all the classes I am taking currently. We do have many opportunities to spend time together outside of class. I am in the band and our directors are just like a part of my family. They treat all the band students as if they were their own children and expect us to work hard in our classes or they talk to us just like our parents would.
