I love cape fear community college and wish I could’ve continued to go here but unfortunately had to move. It is a great school and has the #1 ADN program in NC! However, I found no longer stay due to the expense of living in Wilmington, I would love to possibly move back one day :)

My overall experience at CFCC has been positive. I started at CFCC as a Wilmington Early College High School student to get my associate's degree in science. CFCC was a great place for high school students to get integrated into college life without having to jump in head first. I actually had such a positive experience at CFCC that after graduating from high school I decided to change my educational path from transferring to a four-year university to staying at Cape Fear to join the Radiography program. I would highly recommend this school and its positive environment, great classes, and encouraging teachers.

As a current student of Cape Fear Community College, I have found my time very pleasing here. The professors are very well-spoken and take the time to learn every student's name and to make sure that our education is put first. The college offers many opportunities for us, especially when advancing to our careers.

Cape Fear Community College is an excellent school to begin your college experience at. With 3 different campuses at great locations, you'll be able to study whatever you like here. Cape Fear also has a great selection of online classes, for students who are busy during the day.

Cape Fear Community College is a great segue to getting back into the school lifestyle. The campus is not overwhelmingly large and the classes are fairly condensed making it an extremely friendly environment. To add on, there are plenty of things to do and areas to visit no matter if you are at the more popular downtown campus or at the North Campus. If one is looking for a way to prepare themselves for a larger university or just trying to get back into the swing of things, I would highly recommend giving Cape Fear Community College a try.

I like Cape Fear Community College! I started taking classes here my senior year of high school and have loved almost every class I've taken. The teachers are nice, the students are friendly, and the small campus makes it easy to get around. There's a great amount of diversity at Cape Fear with people of many different backgrounds and ages to meet. While many people can look down on Cape Fear because it's "just a community college", I think it's greatly overlooked. Cape Fear has so many opportunities for everyone, no matter where you are in life! I would recommend Cape Fear to anyone, no matter what your major is!

My overall opinion of Cape Fear Community College is awesome. I will be a freshman this fall and hopefully graduate on 2021. My cousin was a student there and graduated last year. He had a great time and now I am going to go to am awesome school. Great advisors and counselors so far.

Overall CFCC is a decent school. The buildings are nice and all the other students are friendly. I have had an altercation with a professor there that made this school unenjoyable for me, and i cannot wait to transfer. until I graduate, being at cfcc is tolerable.

Attending Cape Fear was the best decision that I have ever made for myself. Although, it was not my first choice and I only heard of the school because of my athletic scholarship, I made the experience as a student-athlete. I love this school so much everyone on campus is super supportive and it is so easy to meet kind people. If I could go back I would make the same decision again.

Cape Fear Community College played a large role in shaping me into the individual I know myself to be today. I had so many caring and interesting professors who you could tell truly cared and wanted the best for their students. If I was able to receive a four year degree from here, I definitely would!

Cape fear is a great school that offers great opportunities for students who can’t afford big universities! Also their are plenty of apartment building in the downtown Wilmington area for students who don’t already live in a Wilmington, NC. The school is located on the Cape Fear River and right next to the beautiful Riverwalk. Also there are plenty stores, food places, and historical buildings around to walk and explore during inbetween classes!
Marina
It’s like other community colleges, expect at Cape you’re professors become family and care about you exceeding in your major. There is no on campus housing but if there were I’d think it would hold to the standards to the rest of the school. There’s an amazing range within walking distance to eat and see for study breaks. While studying the library and learning center is accessible

This is my first year at this school and I am very impressed at how well everything is so organized and easily accessible. Parking is convenient, the buildings are up to date and clean, and it is affordable. The executive assistant at the front building, the teachers, advising department, most any employee that works at Cape Fear is very nice, caring, and very helpful. You can tell that they truly care about their students and want each and every person to succeed. I am so glad I made the decision to transfer to this school because it has been easy going, to say the least. I would highly recommend anyone to attend this awesome college.

Cape Fear is a good school. But a lot of the programs are overly competitive so it makes it very hard to get into. I’ve been trying for 5 years to get into my program and I’ve finally gotten into it. I kind of wish I had just used that money to go to a big university. And CFCC needs more parking.
Maria
I love it here! Everyone is so nice and willing to help if you have a question. The staff and other students are like a second family. The instructors are always willing to help if you have questions about their class or need help finding an internship, or just need to talk! Definitely happy I choose to be a sea devil!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Cape Fear Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Don't wait! The easy cash you are enjoying from waiting tables is not going to help you build a solid future or hold your interest, and certainly isn't going to be good for your back in the long run! But don't go to school for the wrong reasons. You know you are pulled towards helping people and are interested in the health fields, so why take classes in another area just to please other people. If you follow your heart now, you won't find yourself going back to school 20 years later to finally follow your interests. You're going to be a mom and are going to have dreams for your own kids, so follow yours now and be the example you want them to follow. Have faith in yourself, you're going to be amazed at what your are going to accomplish!
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish that I would have known that I can only transfer 64 semester hours from a community college to a university. I probably would have gone straight t a university, but it costs too much to attend. It's cheaper just to transfer to a university and get all the core classes out of the way.
The best thing about Cape Fear Community College is the staff, faculty. They go out of their way to be helpful and to accommodate the students whenever possible. Whether they are a part of financial aid; administration; registration; or faculty – they go the extra mile to make sure the students are not only well informed but also organized. They seem to really care if we are successful.
I have classmates that are cooperative with the teacher and interactive in the classroom. Each individual is unique in his/her own way. I know just about each student in the classroom because we all interact in group discussions, labs that I have in Chemistry class, or class discussions we have as a whole. My classmates are all smart individuals that are willing to learn what we need to know to pass the class.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
CFCC has a premiere radiography program that allows us to work in health care settings as well as learn in the classroom from teachers who are actually certified radiographers themselves. They understand what we are experiencing, what we need to know and how we need to be prepared to succeed.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Someone who doesn't want to further their education. I am very excited to go back to school and update my computer skills. I never thought at my age I would go back to school but I am very excited.
Cape Fear is a good school with a diverse mix of degree programs. It is a great school for the trades, as well as for college prep. It is the perfect school for anyone who did not get accepted at UNC Wilmington; CFCC is known as a feeder school for UNC Wilmington.
Cape Fear Community College is best known for it's individuality. While walking from class to class, you may see students taking pictures for their photography class or finishing up some homework in the library. Everyone is doing everything. Since there is not as much pressure as a university, student's feel like they can be themselves which is the most important thing. Cape Fear Community College is known for it's fun, diversity, and hope. The hope that we can work towards degree's and get better jobs what we can actually live off of.
I am the non-traditional student, married with 3 children, one who is about to enter college herself. I have decided to go back and attend Cape Fear Community College to pursue a career as a surgical tech. Cape Fear is known for their excellence in this program and for the tech's that come out of this program. I was nervous as it has been a long time since I was in school, but I had faith and went for it. I was recently accepted to the surgical tech program and was one of only 16 chosen to begin in August 2015. I am extremely excited about this opportunity and know that I will be graduating from the best school around that offers this program.
