I love Central Piedmont. They have great resources, some really passionate professors, and a kind, diverse community. It's very much a "you get what you put into it" school. There's a lot of resources and a great environment, but if you don't seek them out or get involved then you don't get anything out of it. Most people are either in high school doing dual enrollment, just out of high school, getting leftover credits between degrees, or in general transferring somewhere else, so everyone's basically in the middle of something and you meet a lot of different people. I've had a great time here.

Central Piedmont is an overall quiet school with energetic and dedicated students. The campus I frequent, periodically hosts school-wide games and events. There is always academic help available and the staff and teachers are generally very pleasant. There are also a multitude of study spaces and places to work or socialize.

I loved being a student at Central Piedmont Community College. The scheduling of classes was extremely flexible and the professors were extremely kind. There was no on-campus housing, and there were no forms of meal swipes or anything else. There were, however, many restaurants and stores near the multiple campuses, making CPCC accessible for all.

The college is very helpful to get you through registration and get your classes as soon as possible. But for tutoring and other programs that helps students the college is not able to control well and no one have any information and for that reason student don't involve in clubs and other programs.

Advisors are amazing and helpful and the professors are always very supportive and understanding. There are many opportunities offered and you will not feel bored and worn out at CPCC.

There is no party life because everyone is focused on receiving an education, which college should always be. The professors are personable, and you aren't just a name or number on their roster. They want to get to know you and will help you to succeed.

It is amazing for a community college but nothing beats a proper four year college, I appreciate the provisions that they make and accommodations they provide, they also give excellent services and education at affordable rates but like I mentioned a four year college is the best!

CPCC is a fantastic school. I took dual-enrollment courses at CP when I was in High School, and I learned a lot and felt more prepared for college than I would have without the CP classes. Many of the professors were very willing to help me if I ever had any difficulties. Many of my professors had a passion for teaching, and they wanted us to learn and enjoy learning.

Central Piedmont is a great college with a fantastic staff and administration that truly cares about their students. The instructors know what they teach like the back of their hand and the administration always focuses on student needs. For the student body, everyone has been absolutely kind and encouraging as everyone come from different backgrounds and from a wide range of life experiences.

CPCC is a great school, but depending on the campus you attend, you may have a different opinion. I attended the Harper campus which is fairly small, but it is nice. The classrooms are large and the professors are nice. The work is not too overbearing and the after school activities are fun,

The teachers are really supportive. If you have questions do not be afraid to ask or email. The education quality is amazing for the price they offer and many credits transfer in the UNC system. It is like a mix of trade school and college since there are so many class options to choose from.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would have told myself to keep searching for scholarships to pay for school, and also, I would tell myself to sign up for internships to pay for college. I would advise myself to take more college level classes, so later that I would have to pay for so many classes for college. Most important of all, I would warn myself to take the SAT and the Placement tests more seriously.
The thing I love about Central Piedmont Community College is that you may not have attended a class like myself in 30 years and CPCC has a way for you to start again. At CPCC new beginning are encouraged and celebrated. When you walk into that classroom for the first time with your knees shaking from fear, CPCC is standing on the sidelines coaching you, cheering you on, and finding a way for you to succeed. I had to go through all the developmental maths but guess what, it was worth it. Thanks to CPCC my future is bright.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
Central Piedmont Community College needs more entertainments around school area for more funding and the entertainment can keep the students entertain.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
When Itell my friends about my school I brag most about the cute boy's that go to my school. That stuff is not really true, not all of them are cute. Alot of the boys are really ugly, or there just weird.
Central Piedmont Community College is best known as a transition school. It is a great place for fellow students to go and gain knowledge for future degrees. It is also a way to save money until going forth with education at universities.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I knew that it was possible for me to take college courses at this college as a high school student before I came to this school. Because I was born in Vietnam, I did not speak or understand much English in most of my high school years. As the result, I did not know that it was possible for me to take college courses as a high school student. If I would have taken some college courses while I was high school, I would have saved me some extra time and money for college.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The people that should not attend this school are students who are not interested in furthering their career with education. Students who are not willing to work hard or study are should not attend. You have to have motivation and will power to attend.

At CPCC there is such an great array of ethnicities and ages in the student body. There are mothers, fathers, and foriegn students, as well as the traditional eighten to twentytwo year old students. This creates such a great environment to develop new perspectives from the experiences other students have had. A mother's view on social problems is different from my own, and that challlenge to think outside of how I normally do is a priveledge most traditional colleges do not have.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about my school is that I keep seeing students driving around my school with very loud music on. These students are not only drive their cars around the school once. They usually circle around the school for three to five times before they leave everytime. I do understand that people could enjoy their music as loud and as much as they wish; however, i personally think it is quite disrespectful for them to distract those students who need quiet time to learn and study at my school.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
