For a community college it certainly tries. Every counselor is like a launchpad to set you off to a four year. Every teacher is excited to nurture your talents. Every event, class, and building is inviting. And that was the biggest surprise when coming to Cerritos Community College, everything is so friendly. Like it was made around the mind of a student. Every class, yes even Math, is made out to be easy and fun.

Cerritos College is a good school, there is nothing bad to be said about it. Their on-campus library is very fascinating, a nice and quiet environment to study. The campus in general is well kept and I feel safe. The staff is very nice and will gladly provide directions if you are not familiar with the campus. In general, I can't think of any negative qualities that stand out about this college, I would recommend this college.

I honestly don't have anything to complain about with Cerritos College; I enjoyed playing water polo for the Women's team. The pool and team rooms are super friendly. The classrooms could improve; it was very hot and hard to get to occasionally. Other than that, I enjoyed my time at Cerritos College.

I am very fond of this campus. Choosing to attend for my first two years of college was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Between saving money and an accessible campus, Cerritos College is an excellent student for students pursuing associate degrees, students that intend to transfer, and students returning to education alike. I plan on transferring next fall in pursuit of my BM, but I will continue to attend Cerritos College's music programs as Dr. Betancourt's instructorship is top-notch.

It is very nice here at Cerritos. It wasn't originally my college of choice but I ended up here. I thought it was going to be a bad school to attend and at first, I was embarrassed but later I found how useful all the counselors, professors, and students are when it comes to choosing a major and finding resources on how to be a successful transfer.

Cerritos College genuinely cares about their students and the city is which the college resides in. They provide services to aid their students when it comes to education, housing, and food. They speak up on issues going on around us and the world to assure their students that they are a safe space for all.

I started to attend Cerritos College in Summer 2019, 2 weeks after I graduated from high school. Overall, this college is neither positive or negative. Most student go to their classes and then leave. No one really participates in extra curricular activities, and/or sports. The class here are good, and all of my professors have been great. This college is good, but there isn't anything that makes it over the top or special.

My overall opinion of Cerritos College is that you know it's a very good community college in my area. The professors I had were cool, serious, weren't the typical college professor just being firm, it was nice. Then the clubs I joined were great, IFalcon club was fun, had pizza, drinked soda, did some group activites on campus for scholarships and etc.

Cerritos College is one of the few community colleges that actually care about you as a student. The staff are excellent; the way the professors teach and offer support is superb. Professors offer office hours that are a great resource to take advantage of. Some departments offer tutoring, which is a great opportunity to receive help outside of the classroom. The campus is friendly and welcoming.

I think it is a good college with many opportunities to transfer or further your education. There are lots of available help and resources. They offer many 2 year programs and other opportunities like Cosmetology and Automotive Careers. Even if you don’t feel the standard four year degree is for you, you will never feel discouraged to pursue a different career.

I've gone to other 2-year colleges, and honestly I love Cerritos. The Professors are amazing and really helpful. The campus is clean and always improving. The student body alone is great. Everyone is really helpful, and great during class conversations. I would absolutely recommend coming to Cerritos College.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Everything i learn since the first day of college to present i would tell myself which includes, registation, fees, payments, deadlines and etc. You have to learn to have a focus mind in college to be about to make sure everything is set the right now for you to achieve your dreams.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
One thing I wish i knew before i started college is that the teachers in high school were serious that our furtures are in our hands and everything we do will reflect on to our future, showing up to class will help you pass class instead of going to play billards at the student center with your friends and that reading a chapter is not skimming a chapter. JUST DO YOUR WORK!
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
Personally, I do not like having a routine, I like everyday to be different from the last, but at Cerritos, I'm stuck in a routine- a routine that lasts about FOUR MONTHS! It's the semester that I do not like, I much rather prefer the quarter system; I'd rather learn something new everyday and be in a fast pace environment instead of a slow moving, go two or three weeks talking about the same exact thing, kind of environment. Other than that, though, Cerritos is awsome! The people are friendly and the professors really care.
A person that is focused and really cares to be involved in the school or at least classes. A person that is determined to get an education that they want and a person who wants to move on to a university to finish the classes that they need.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
I think everyone should be afforded the opportunity to attend Cerritos college. Its a great place, to start your pursuitt of higher education, the instructors are very helpful, and the staff always pleasant. I can't see why anyone wouldn't want to attend Cerritos college.
The best thing i'd say about school is learning and broadening your mind to things you didnt know that existed and have a clear open mind about the world and things that are there for us to explore understand and think about. If there was no school and no education, in my opinion we would all be ignorant.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I like to brag about how nice the school is and also how much new equiptment is purchased for Cerritos College. Cerritos is almost always building new buildings for new classroom and more educational space. At Cerritos College the people are also really friendly and balanced. The professors are un beatable and will help you during hard times in class as long as you talk to them.
