Dallas Baptist offers such a wide variety of majors and it is extremely exciting. I have seen other people's reviews of the college so I hope I have accurate information. One of the biggest things I love about it is the size of the college! Since it is on the smaller side of campus’ it provides students with a smaller and closer community that I hope to experience. I have also heard many good things about the professors there. I've heard that most of the teachers want their students to succeed and they actually want to teach you instead of giving lectures and that being it. Pat students speak highly of their professors and I hope to do the same.

Love it, this school is an amazing school but challenging. This is my second semester and I am just now finding my place. Before I came here I was worried that I was not going to fit in, not because of people but because I fell out of tough with my faith. For me, before I was even a student at the college, my opinion at Dallas Baptist University came to me from a youtube video by FloTrack on the college's cross country team and how they were going to NCAA nationals that year. In that video, the head coach Jacob Phillips was so enthusiastic and caring for each and every runner of his. I knew from that video that every teacher and coach on that campus would show the same effort, and I was right. Now being a student, I can say that Dallas Baptist University is: christ-centered, the teachers show great importance in the students well being, and the student body itself is full of life and very kind.

It's a really great school. The professors are excellent, there are lots of events (even though those aren't really my thing), and the community is excellent. The on-campus housing is pretty good, but the three-man rooms can be a bit difficult. The food provided by the cafeteria isn't too great either, but it's overall great.

it is a great university with smaller class sizes professors that are very available and students that like to be involved. there are many opportunities for intramural sports and even just hanging out with friends playing volleyball or soccer if organized sports is not your thing.

DBU is an absolutely beautiful school, and I don't mean that just physically. The people, the professors, the values of DBU make it one of a kind and welcoming to all. Personally, I am transferring because I do wish to experience a college with a more developed sports department and larger classes, but DBU has grown my faith exponentially and for that, I am forever grateful. I will always praise DBU, and recommend it to anyone searching for their new home, as it was wonderful for the time I spent there.

I cannot explain how breathtakingly beautiful this campus is in real life. I've had doubts about my future where I felt uneasy in where my calling of college belonged to. Visiting Dallas Baptist University, it was a phenomenal experience! Taking in the campus' beauty, its environment and the mission of this campus--I had peace of mind and heart. Although I should visit other colleges, I'm completely confident this is where I belong! Taking on the world as a young adult, is absolutely terrifying. But, Dallas Baptist changed that perspective for me. Growing up is simply apart of life, and if I decide to attend their university, then I will experience all the opportunities they have to offer. No university is perfect, but I truly believe this is my place!

Dallas Baptist University is my first choice for a college. It is the perfect option for people who are looking for a good Christian education. The students are excited about their studies as well as their extracurriculars. The campus and class sizes are not too big, but not too small. There are plenty of places to eat and shop around the area. The dorms are a little bit small, but they are alright to live in. The apartments are beautiful! Dallas Baptist University is 100% an outstanding college!

Dallas Baptist University is the most unique school I have ever seen. From the physical beauty of the campus to the extremely personable professors obviously invested in their faith, this campus has such a special feel. Because of the small size, students get to know each other really well, as well as can easily get involved in on-campus opportunities. The college is small, but everyone feels appreciated, loved, and needed throughout their day!

I love it! Beautiful campus with a strong spiritual following. The students are friendly and kind. The staff is helpful and caring. The campus tour was well thought out with an excellent guide, a bus to drive us around, and a college shirt and a latte at the end!

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Kowing what I know now about college life I would tell myself not to worry about making friends and meeting new people. I met hundereds of incredibly nice, caring people the first week I was on campus. I would tell myself not to worry about the decisions that seemed life changing at the time like meal plans, classes, and even how I would decorate the dorm. Those things are all too small to worry about now that I have been there and lived it. However, more importantly than that, I would have told my senior self to slow down and enjoy every second of the time with my friends and family. I chose a college six hours away from home and I have loved every minute of it! I just know that I could have spent more time with a few friends that I have not seen in awhile now. I would have placed more importance on family time my senior year. I did not think I would miss them, but eventually I did miss them. I would tell my senior self to worry less and enjoy the people and the relationships that I have been blessed with.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Dallas Baptist University is a very friendly and Chirst-centered campus; the teachers, staff, and students are all very helpful and are always willing to go the extra mile for you.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating aspect of my school it the cost. I would love to attend full-time but I just can't afford it right now. Because of this, it will take me longer to earn my degree.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I always brag about how great the professors are. They are really willing to help you. You are not just a number to them. Most desire to get to know you personally. I like when my professor is interested in me as a student. It make the class more enjoyable the better you know your professor.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
If you transfered to this school from another school, it is a lot harder to get involved, especially if you are close to graduation. Being roomed with all freshman is particularly hard, because we are at different places in our lives. They need to work on rooming people a little better according to ages.

It is fait based, and the teachers here have a genuine concern for the students on campus. The class size are great because it allows for student/teacher interaction on a regular basis.
Someone that holds conservative values would enjoy the atmosphere at DBU. Someone who wants to get to know lots of people on campus and be involved would enjoy our campus life. Some students at DBU are very musically talented & some are athletic, both are highly respected on campus. Just because it says "Baptist" in the name of the school does not mean that we do not accept non- believers. In fact, our faculty and students are evangelical for the most and enjoy leading new believers to Christ. Someone who enjoys living in a larger city should attend DBU!
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
