Emerson has a lot of stereotypes. We get labeled as all being hipster kids and Emerson is known for having a cloud of smoke hanging above it from all of the students who smoke. Oh Emerson is also known for having a huge GLBT community. Emerson students are also known for ignoring religion completely. On the bright side Emerson is known for having a kick ass film program and amazing acting facilities.

The majority of the male student population is gay. The majority of the female student population are lesbians, or bisexual. Everyone has an "artsy" name or spelling, ie. Lynne, Sebastian, Bay, etc. Emerson students don't know how to do math. Emerson students don't play sports. Emerson students were always picked last in gym class.

We are all artsy freaks who wear skinny jeans, leggings, and converse and smoke incessantly. Almost everyone did theater in high school and most of the guys are gay, so be careful who you hit on. Everyone is liberal and hates the Bush administration and is extremely vocal about their opinions. Upon graduating you will get a killer job because Emerson has THE best connections out of any college you apply to. Oh yeah, and everyone is a Jew or just thinks religion is pointless.
