Fayetteville State University (FSU) stands out as a historic institution with a strong commitment to academic excellence, community engagement, and student success. As one of the oldest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the nation, FSU has a rich legacy of empowering students from diverse backgrounds to achieve their full potential. FSU’s smaller class sizes foster close interactions between students and faculty, creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment. The university's emphasis on experiential learning and community involvement prepares students for real-world challenges while cultivating leadership and service-oriented mindsets. The city of Fayetteville is known to be a very unsafe place, living here I can promise you the only thing you need to be worried about is potholes and lack of streetlights. Fayetteville State is a very school spirit school. The Broncos go hard at every and any event.

KaLayshia - 04/07/2022

If you're looking for an institution that's located in a small-town area, then Fayetteville State University is the school. The classroom sizes are small, which provides a better learning opportunity for all of its students. They offer numerous resources to help you succeed in your educational pursuits. For example, the writing and math center offers you expertise for those who are struggling in these subjects and may need a little extra help.

Jakera - 02/03/2022

Whytnee - 01/20/2020

I have been attending Fayetteville State University full-time for the last two years and can say that it has been one of the best experiences I could have ever had. Not only have I been able to receive a good education here, but I have also been able to interact with my teachers on a more personal level because of the smaller class sizes. When it comes to other students on campus I can say that this is a very tight knit community that allows for not only constant good times but also a large group to bounce ideas off of. I would recommend FSU to anyone who wants a small classrooms, enjoyable campus life, and an overall good college experience.

I truly love my school and everything I have gained while being there so far. Fayetteville State has opened many doors for me, personally and professionally, allowing me the resources and time to grow in a variety of ways. We offer a stupendous education while being extremely affordable all at the same time. Of course, like all other institutions we are far from perfect, but the staff is very genuine and promote improvement in all areas that need it! Being a student leader allows me the platform to advocate for my fellow classmates and with such an open minded group of individuals working there, it makes everyone's job and responsibilities easier.

Nayela - 06/18/2019

Fayetteville State University is a pretty decent up and coming school. It is working to develop itself more and offer more programs for its students but it does not carry any bells and whistles. It is an average school with average students and you get what you pay for.

Manijah - 06/14/2019

I really like Fayetteville State, it is really different from being in the North but that’s another thing that I like about it. Our school is like a family, we are always doing stuff and we always show our school spirit. The campus is beautiful and we have a food place and store across the street.

In my college experience these past three and a half years, I have received many things. From personal to educational experiences and oppurtunities, I am truly grateful for my experience. On a personal and social level, I have come to learn who I am as a person and what kind of people I tend to associate myself with. I have an incredible network of friends and associates in whom I've bonded and learned several things from and vice versa. On a educational level, I have received an excellent education and have learned so much. I was even able to participate in a Study Abroad oppurtunity in Spain, a once in a lifetime oppurtunity. Being able to attend college has been one of my life's best experience. If I had to do it all over again, I would not change a thing.
