Florida International University Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about Florida International University? Why?

Ariadna

The worst thing about school is how to pay for it. Tuition expenses are increasing every year and books as well.

emily

Parking is ridiculous at FIU, I have to show up 2 hours before my class in hope to find a spot.

Katherine

The classes are too big.

Caroline

The worst part would have to be the vast space on the campus being used so poorly. Majority of the university's population commutes to school, but there is barely any room for parking. Yet they are making more buildings to increase the already high number of classrooms, as well as for dorms for the 7{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of students that live on campus. The events on campus are always located in the same places in front of GL or in GC while there are so many areas the student organizations to go to add variation to the school atmosphere.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THIS???

Natasha

FIU is a commuter college; so the majority of the students are not involved in activities after class.

Laura

It's need for rapid expansion. It is causing higher tuition and fewer class selections.

Tahimi

The fact that it is too large for my particular taste and that individuals do not approach you and start up a conversation. The fact that there is no sense of community and that you truly need to figure things out for yourself because there is not always someone there to support you.

Kimberly

At my University, I wish the professors were more enthusiastic in expressing the knowledge of the subject they were teaching.

Seth

I consider the shuttle schedule to be the worst thing about FIU. I appreciate that there is a shuttle service between the main campuses but if a student misses a shuttle they sometimes have to wait an hour for the next one and then end up missing their next class.
