Hastings college is a private college located in Hastings, Nebraska, it’s a small town with not much to do within the town. Hastings college is a very friendly place we’re everyone is nice to everyone. The class sizes is very nice with about 12-15 students per class. Hastings College is very big into sorts it’s a lot of sports teams including soccer, Bowling, baseball, basketball, golf, volleyball, shotgun sports, etc. I recommend Hastings College for anyone and everyone because here at Hastings college everyone is welcome!

It is wonderful place to meet new people and find yourself as a person. There are many great opportunities to get involved in things or meet new people. The first year committee does an outstanding job of creating many activities for freshman to do to feel like Hastings College is home. The only thing I wish were better was the air conditioning in the rooms and the food.

I really like Hastings College. I feel like it is the best fit for me and it could be the right fit for a lot of other people too. They really roll out the red carpet when you visit the school. When you get to the school at a student they really encourage you to do everything that you want to do. All of the professors are welcoming and helpful in adjusting you to college life too.

Hastings college is good for students who love to get involved whether that be in sports or other activities. They also have event on the weekends and on later night that get the students involved in the community and on campus. They class are great and the block schedule makes it easier for students to focus on a couple class instead of a to of classes. Overall Hastings may be a small little college in the middle of no where but f it’s the right fit for you, you will call it home.

I am going to be heading their in the fall of 2019. I am looking forward to the small town culture and investing myself into the community. I feel if I want to be successful at Hastings I will have to make a name for myself through academics and sports. This goal of mine to make the most out of the money I will be spending is my goal because college is suppose to be your last chance for fun before becoming a adult.

Hastings is a college that has a friendly environment and lets people in. There are always people and professors open to talk to you, help you or just to be there for you. I love the college even more since I have been here for the past year. The campus president is always open and welcoming to learn your story and help you out

I have not takin any classes yet at Hastings but when I went there for my college visits and new student days the faculty and staff were all very friendly and would bend over backwards to help me or any other future student. The faculty and staff was what pushed me to pick Hastings as the college I wanted to go too.

My overall opinion of Hastings College is that a majority of the professors really do care about my academic career and want to make sure that I am doing as good as I can be, not just in class, but also in life.
However, it is still a business and the "Higher-Ups" in the administration really just want your money.

I am currently a senior here at Hastings College and what I have come to find out is that if you are in an sport and you sign on to play for a team here, you will receive far more benefits compared to nonathletic students. As for facility wise, the only buildings that I would say that are better equip for students would be the Morrison-Reeves Science building, the Grey Center, and Fuhr Hall; but even stating that Fuhr Hall is equip is stretching it because members of any ensemble have to travel off campus to another building altogether because there is inadequate space.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Hastings College is 63%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Being in college and looking back to what I didn't know about college life I would tell myself, never be afraid of what is out there and always be yourself not someone you want people to think you are. I also would tell myself that don't doubt any advice that people give you as the people I have meet have never turned me in the wrong direction. Not knowing what was out there i would have told myself to be more optomistic of what is out there and never be afriad to speak my mind on anything I had an oppinion on.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The thing that I brag about the most to my friends back home is the small class size that my institution offers. My friends complain about how their class sizes are in the hundreds at that their teachers have no idea who they are. In response to this, I tell my friends that I have class sizes at around 25 students. This allows for more in-depth class discussions and allows for everyone to get their questions answered. Also, all the professors know the students in their classes by name.
I think the best thing about my school is that you are receiving a liberal arts education at this institution. In addition to the classes that are relevant to a student?s major, the student will also take classes in other core areas. For instance, English majors have the opportunity to take classes in mathematics, political science, and various other areas unrelated to English. At other institutions, these English majors would not have this opportunity. Therefore, students at Hastings College are receiving a more well-rounded education than students at non-liberal arts colleges.
A person who doesn't mind having relaxing weekends and who doesn't like to be in a big city. Also one who likes small schools with small class sizes with laid back students and faculty.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The atmosphere at Hastings College is different from any of the other colleges I considered. When I came to visit, all of the students and professors were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions I had. The professors also seem to be a lot more concerned for the welfare of the students as well. If students miss classes, they will often get emails from their professors asking if they are alright or if they need any help getting caught up. As a student I really appreciate the concern they have.
Our Liberal Arts Program. To some it might seem like a hassel but once you get to experience the different courses the L.A. P. requires you to take, these courses really open your eyes to the world.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about Hastings College is the food. We have a cafeteria that is open all day. They specialize meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the other times you can still come in and get snack foods. However the quality and type is not always very good or broad. We often have the same things day after day. The quality at times is not the best. They are however working on building a new cafeteria with more options.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
My school is absolutely amazing because it feels like home here. It is easy to walk around and know a majority of the people you see and there is always a happy face. The teachers and other students also care alot about your education and are always willing to help, no matter the time of day (seriously). It is just a great school to attend.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
You shouldn't attend this school if you hope to get lost in a sea of people. It is a smaller college, and the professors and faculty here try very hard to get to know each student by name and help them whenever they need to. They don't baby the students, but they do want to make sure that everyone is getting the education they are here for.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
