The school does much more for the engineers than for the other majors

The worst thing that I consider is that the parking is annoying. There isn't much parking that is open for students and it can be a problem. My car is parked about a mile away and it can be a drag to get my car from such a far distance. Overall, there is not many bad things about Iowa State.

The worst thing about my school is that is gets really really cold in the winter time. This isn't good because then you will most likely to skip classes and then get behind

I always find it hard to mention a bad thing about Iowa State University. The worst thing about ISU to me, is the fact that it is so expensive, every detail about the college is very expensive, from the books, to the meals, and even the dorms. It is very hard for me to keep up with all the expenses that need to be paid to stay in college. To me, the worst thing about ISU is that it is so expensive

Only being at Iowa State for a semester, I haven't found anything wrong with the school. The only thing I could possibly think that could be bad is the fact that it is in a small town in the middle of Iowa. Coming from a larger suburb, the change in scenery is quite refreshing.

I think that the worst thing about my school is the size of the campus. The campus is huge. This is a concern for me because my dorm is on one side of the campus while all my classes are on the other side, so I have a long walk to class every day. There is the option to take a bus, but I would rather walk. I love the campus, I just wish that it was more compact and everything was closer together. This isn't a major problem, just a small concern because my school is pretty great.

The only thing that I can consider the worst part about Iowa State University is the cost. The campus is great, staff is great, and students are great., but the cost can really hinder some students dreams. I come from out of state and like many families, am struggling to pay for my college career. There are plenty of scholarship opportunities offered but I still think the cost can seem a bit high.

I think the worst thing about my school is its location. Rexburg is very cold and windy and more cold. Also Rexburg is a small town. There are not a lot of things to do here. Also, because there are so few choices here, everything is expensive.

The worst part about the school is the atrocious recycling program. There are signs all over the place that say "Live Green", but honestly you can't find a recycling bin if you tried. It's absolutely unacceptable.

I am and out of state student and It is almost impossible to get a scholarship to pay for this school

I feel that there is no bad things about the school,only average to really good. The only thing would be the harsh winter which there isn't anything which can be done.

The worst thing about my school is that it is two and a half hours away from my husband and my family.

The worst thing about my school would have to be the weather! In the summer months you get the real heat and in the winter u get the real feet (snow!)

When my parents went to Iowa State Ames was a lively place but over the years it has definitely digressed to just another small town in Iowa. As well as the fact it is in Iowa and since I am attending college in state I feel like I haven't seen as much of the world as I would have hoped to have seen by 19 years old.

The worst thing about my school is that it is far away from my hometown, so I am unable to visit as frequently as I want.

Although I enjoy so many things about Iowa State, the one thing that I would change if I could was the amount of money that design students pay compared to engineering majors. Engineering is a really good prgram at Iowa State, so all of the computer programs and most of the supplies are paid for by the college. I do understand why this is, because they have a good department with a lot of students that work very hard for their education. The design program is just the same, except the fact that they pay for all their prgorams.

The worst thing about ISU is the professors. They aren't very helpful and a good amount of them don't speak good english.

For me it is the expectations for Design Students. Often students in the college of design are required to work much longer hours than many other majors. It is not uncommon to work 15 hour days in the college of design. This fact makes it very difficult to hold a job outside of classes which only makes the finacial standing that much more difficult.
