The worst thing about our school, to be honest, has nothing to do with academics. The people that work on campus that work to clean up the snow we get in the winter season, don't do a very good job. They barely shovel sidewalks so you can walk to class or from class to class, making it absolutely impossible.

The worst thing at Kent State is the winter. In Nothern Ohio, the winters can be pretty terrible. Walking to campus in freezing temperatures can be very disheartening. There is always tons of snow, so my shoes get wet and it can get a little icy. The best advice for dealing with the snow is to pack a pair of snow or rain boots and nice warm jacket. The KSU bookstore also sells very nice hats, scarves, etc. You can find everything you need for winter weather on campus.

I think the worst thing about my school is the dorms. Every other college i have gone to or talk to my friends about, they say that there dorm rooms are actually nice. They have a living room, and its big and they do not feel like they are in some box. We have our suits but they are not even as nice as the normal dorms at other schools.

It is large and at times impersonal.

The worst thing about my school is the lack of help I have received for future plans like a career or graduate school. Kent does have a career fair every year but attracts only large corporations and not local businesses and there is almost no help for people who want to go graduate school.

The worst thing about Kent is probably the winters. The campus is one giant wind tunnel and so in winter you want to bundle up.

I think the worst thing about my school is how expensive everything is. Yes, it is a great school but you really have to do your research with scholarships ext. to be able to live comfortably. The food is pretty expensive, but typically as research has shown, college students usually have finacial issues for some time. So whether its because i fall into the statistic or that my school is just expensive, either way, its expensive.

Parking and having to walk all over campus to get to classes, but a good work. It just sucks in the snow.
Rachel
A large school means a lot of students and staff, so parking was always a hassle. The school does allow freshman to have cars, but they must be parked off campus in the football stadium parking lot. Waiting for the bus at night after parking my car was not enjoyable; especially when the bus was late.

I am a transfer student and transferring from my previous school to Kent State was very difficult. There were many classes that Kent State did not accept transfer credits for that were equivalent to classes at Kent State so I had to retake these classes which wasted both time and money.
