Being born and raised in Laredo, Laredo College is almost like a different atmosphere. The school's buildings and architecture create a newer, modern feeling to Laredo and a safe spot for education. Laredo College is also known for its great programs in business and computers, which is something that I prioritize in my education future. The campus life itself is very vivid and alive. They have huge events where they invite the community and celebrate the rich culture of Laredo. They have had events for things like Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos. This keeps the community active and appreciative as well. Laredo College also provides immense help to students with loans, aid, and constant scholarship money and prizes. They provide a safe and healthy environment within their school, and I hope to experience it soon.

I don't want to attend Laredo College but I am currently enrolled in classes there while in highschool, the culture is pretty average, with nothing that stands out or can be really highlighted, the academic opportunities I feel like are great even though the funds they have are limited, they are really putting effort into giving as many opportunities to people as they can. For campus life I cannot really say much as I have not had the pleasure of spending much time on their campuses.

I am interested in attending Laredo College because it's a really affordable college to study in. Also, they have a good variety of courses that can be taken. Because it is a smaller college, it allows students to learn better because it is easier to get one-to-one sessions.

Laredo college has always been welcoming to me, throughout my high school year I participated in a program called Upward Bound. This program has opened my eyes onto the community that Laredo college provides. I want to join and be apart of this community for this reason I want to attend Laredo College.

Laredo College has given me the opportunity to obtain college credit hours while I'm still in high school. I have enrolled in their summer classes that are on campus as well as their dual credit course they offer at J.B. Alexander. The professors are dedicated to their jobs and spend time teaching each student individually if they are having difficulties understanding the lessons. Laredo College has given me the chance to move closer to my goals.

The professors are very well known for helping students in case of any struggles. Lastly, the environment is very safe and is a place I consider that I recommend going to in Laredo.

A very welcoming campus and staff. During my orientation the tour guides were well informed and helpful. And seeing the campus for the first time I can tell that it is well organized and safe for other students to walk around. The clubs and extracurricular activities seems warm and welcoming to join.

Laredo college is great! it reminds me of home because it's so close to home. I love how they have chik fil a in the kazen which is what the cafeteria is called. I love how the recreational center has many games and computers with games even gaming consoles.

Laredo College is a properly safe campus for international students. Here Laredo can give young teens a career to transfer to Tamiu University. Class is small and teachers are open to help. Some are unavailable, but have great leadership. They sometimes have no perfect grading schedule.

I have been an active student of this college for about two and a half years. The professors are nice and understanding. The way we turn in assignments is always up to date, so I ad never had a problem with that. The food i amazing. I eat there almost everyday. They have a variety and it is always affordable. the diversity is great. I see new people everyday. The rec center is awesome, and they have a pool. I can go right now because of the pandemic, but it is nice.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Nowadays, mostly nobody likes to take high school seriously. A lot of high school seniors think that since it is their last year there it is just time to fall back, relax, and party. Unfortunately that is not the case. On the contrary, it is the beginning of a whole new chapter in life. Therefore, the advice I would have given to myself in high school about college is study hard, plan ahead, and never fallback behind.
First, I would have told myself to study hard for college because it would have helped me out by paying for it and also by making it a whole lot easier for me. Second, I would have also told myself to plan ahead because it helps out by keeping organized. Last, I would have told myself to never fall back because it waste?s a lot of valuable time.
Consequently, if I would have listened to this advice before, I probably would have gotten tons of scholarships, better grades, and more time for myself. Hence, this advice now goes for all those high school seniors who are out there thinking about college, how to pay for it, and how to prepare for it.
Laredo Community College is best known for it's location which is next to one of the fourth largest rivers in found in the United States. It is also best known for the recievement of current U. S. representative Henry Cuellar.
The facts: the community college I'm attending is just as equal as any other university I know. As a matter of fact, the college I'm attending used to be a state university, a museum, and a military base all at once, so it means the school has some of the original professors now since the university (at the time) opened. To me, the best part about it is that the college has a very diverse and well organized art department unlike the other surrounding universities in the city.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
Well, I'd brag that this school is very inexpensive. It is almost guaranteed to fit every teenager's budget, especially with the financial aid available. That's what I like most about this school--pursuing my major without breaking the bank.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
88% of students attending Laredo Community College receive some sort of financial aid.
78% were awarded federal grants.N/Areceived federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
