I’ve only visited a few times (once on a school trip and another time on a personal campus tour), but it seems like a great school overall. I love that a university so close to home offers a bachelor’s in paramedicine. The staff that I talked to were also super welcoming and resourceful.

Rocky

I believe Lindenwood is a very safe place to go to college. Not to mention that the staff is very nice and respectful. Every coach that I have met, regardless of the sport, are very nice and supportive. The teachers are amazing as well. I highly reccomend this college, it also has a very beautiful campus.

Rocky

I believe Lindenwood is the University for me. It is one of the few colleges that has the sport I play in, and on top of that, I receive financial aid from it. It is a great school and I believe it is the best college for me. It has a great educational program, and it is a somewhat affordable price.

Everyone from staff to students are friendly. There are plenty of clubs, activities and many other ways to get involved to make everyone feel at home here! The classroom size are a great student to ratio size so it is easy to speak one-on-one with your instructors!

Lindenwood University is an amazing university. It's a quiet, suburban campus that makes it easy for students to get around and study outside in peace. The campus is beautiful. The grounds are nice and clean. The grass always looks perfect and green in the springtime. They've preserved the old-style architecture of the buildings. The campus has a very historic vibe. It’s also relatively easy to find your classes because it’s a small campus and there are directions everywhere. Parking isn’t an issue as well. I always found parking close to the buildings of my classes. As for the education, it’s superb. The classes are a good size and the teachers are very attentive. It’s very easy to get a hold of a professor. They always stick around after class if you have any questions and they’re always in their office during their office hours. Tutoring is also free and readily available. As for the extracurricular activities, they’re abundant. There are a club and activity for everyone. It’s very easy to make friends. There are also opportunities for learning outside the classroom because there are always guest speakers and professors from other schools who come to speak. I really miss the food the most. The dining is amazing. There’s a variety of options. We actually have Chik-fil-A and Qdoba at the school. We have two different dining areas. One actually has a mini buffet. The discounts for students are amazing. Commuters are included in dining discounts.

Haley

I love Lindenwood. It’s a beautiful, but not too large campus. Just the right amount of students to make friends, but not be too overwhelmed. The night life is amazing as Main Street is just around the corner, and the students love to let loose on weekends after a week of focus and studying.

Cameron

I love the school and what it has to offer. It has one of the best dorm rooms I have ever seen and plenty of food options. The school is very updated and not to old. They have very good athletics and a good amount of supporters. They even give the tour in a golf cart .

LaMetria

I have been extremely impressed. I sometimes kick myself for not receiving my bachelor's here but I'm here now and working on my master's. The admission process was a breeze and anyone faculty that I've spoken with has been nothing but pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend Lindenwood to friends and family.

Geena

Lindenwood University is a glorified high school with the potential to be something great. There are a lot of rules and regulations that are pointless and restricting, but we are starting to make a change towards a more progressive system. However, small class sizes and knowledgeable, trustworthy professors really pick up the slack of an overbearing administration. I have yet to meet a professor who wasn't accommodating. There is still much to do to make Lindenwood a school that I will be proud to represent as an alumni, but we are well on our way.

William

Lindenwood is a great university to attend. The campus has a wonderful mix of newly renovated buildings and historic buildings as well. I have really enjoyed my first two semesters as a student on the campus. The professors enjoy teaching their classes and make their best effort to support each of their students. The school has a welcoming environment and a great atmosphere.

Drake

A great athletic university with a lot diversity. The people have a midwest personality and very laid back. The school is very clean and safe. There is some great architecture and the main building are nice. It is a pretty big campus with a lot of things to do in the area

Blayke

Lindenwood University is a blessing for me I was able to finish the sport that I love to play which was softball and they gave me a scholarship knowing I was recovering cancer patient the teachers are great they’re always there when you need him and I will highly recommend my school

Kaitlin

Lindenwood University, in my opinion is a really great school. Whether you are living on or off campus. For students living off campus, Lindenwood hosts at least one commuter week per semester. This week they offer free snacks and rides to classes for commuter students. The meal plan is great. Classes are great and professors are east to get along with and understanding. My only concern is parking. There is not much parking at Lindenwood.

Taylor

I really enjoy the small class sizes of Lindenwood. All of the Professors know you by name. It is a very sports centered school and they have a sport for everybody, from your regular football to shotgun sports, weightlifting, and bowling. Campus is clean and everybody is willing to answer any questions you might ask. I highly recommend Lindenwood University as a top choice for college education.

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Lindenwood University is 54%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back I would tell myself to not have any reservations. Do not worry about anyone else when deciding on a college. Do not think about your relationship with your boyfriend or friends. There are so many ways of long distance communication and your relationships will last. They will, i promise. I would tell myself, do look into as many schools as possible. Do apply or audition for as many schools as you can. Do try for the schools that you think you could never get in to; because you know what, maybe you will have that spark they are looking for. And most importantly love yourself no matter what, because if you don't love yourself, no one else will.

  14. What is your overall opinion of this school?

One of the best things about going to Lindenwood were the small classroom sizes. I became close with all of my professors, and all of them knew me by name. For the most part all of my professors were willing to help when needed. For not being a religious school, Lindenwood maintains strict rules regarding separate dorms and no alcohol policies. A lot of times on campus students feel almost babysat by security who, if they catch you in the other gender's dorm or drinking on campus, will immediately be expel you from school pending a hearing. With one offense most students will be allowed back in school, and be forced to do "community service," which mostly consists of lawn maintenance or picking up trash. Recently Lindenwood has taken more steps in creating a more student friendly atmosphere, but for students who are not from the St. Louis area and live on campus they can feel trapped without much to do on the weekends around campus. Lindenwood definitely lacks an adequate student union. Lindenwood does boast around 40 athletic programs, however, most students do not become involved following these programs with the exception of football and basketball.

  15. What is the stereotype of students at your school?

Most of the students can fit into a few categories: St. Louis area students, athletes, and international students. Most of the St. Louis area students commute, while some live on campus and leave on the weekends making the college a ghost town. If you find somebody on campus not from around the St. Louis area, 99{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the time they came to Lindenwood for some kind of sport. Most of the athletes on campus are more interested in their sports or drinking instead of excelling in the classroom.

  16. What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Most students who live on campus are the athletes who stick with their athletic group. Other students who live on campus who live in the St. Louis area who do not participate in athletics do not actively pursue on campus groups. Some students in dorms try to be more friendly by leaving their doors open, but most stay to themselves. For those students who choose to drink, there's always several bars open in downtown St. Charles. Greek life is pretty much non-existent on campus, and is not important to student life. Some students try to create their own sororities or fraternities on campus, but they do not have their own house or area devoted to their group.

  17. What are the academics like at your school?

Most classes at Lindenwood are not challenging, but at least no huge lecture halls exist on campus. There are definitely students at Lindenwood who go there learn, and try to become successful career minded professionals, but these students are definitely outnumbered by students who don't try and only do the minimum required. Group projects were always a challenge due to those students who didn't feel the need to participate. For many of my classes, myself and one or two other people were the only ones who would participate.

  18. Is the stereotype of students at your school accurate?

Yes, with few exceptions. I participated in athletics while staying away from partying and graduating with honors.
