It's a great school it's just if you plan on living in the dorms choose wisely because Andrews is always hot, and has mold in the vents, but they came and fixed the mold the same day. The food get's boring after the third week because Wednesdays are always fried chicken day and Fridays are always fish days. Those are really the only two good days. we do have an ice cream machine which is always fun.

I have loved attending Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The teachers are so kind and are always willing to help students to succeed. This college is set up for students to experience success in and outside of the classroom. The student life on campus is so welcoming.

I believe this is a great school if you are from the coast and do not want to go that far from home just yet. I also think this is a great option if you want to play sports at a higher level but want to get playing time before you transfer to a university.

Mississippis Gulf Coast Community College goes out of the way for their students. They really care about doing everything they can to help people. They have been so supportive of me this year as I had some personal things going on in my life with my son. I will never forget how much they have been by my side this year. This is the real meaning of a community college.

Being a community college does not stop MGCCC from being an amazing campus with wonderful staff, students, and student activities. The campus is always beautifully landscaped, sports and art are equally recognized, and they offer a broad range of courses. The student body and staff are both very diverse and friendly. I am very proud to be a Bulldog!

I love the school. I met my life-long friends and the love of my life here. We are all transferring to Mississippi State University, but we will always remember the years we spent here. There are people who drink and smoke, but that happens everywhere. We do not partake.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is an amazing choice for a junior college! The faculty is amazing and very nice! The class sizes are small so it is perfect for transitioning from high school to college life. The campus is not too large but be careful you still may get lost if you are a new student!

My overall opinion of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is that they work hard to help students and achieve their goals. The professors offer help all the time, even if you are not in their class. The learning lab helps many students in their work. The students and staff are very friendly and helpful.

I love MGCCC more than I can say. It is an amazing opportunity especially for those students that are not ready for a full-size university, either mentally or financially. Going to MGCCC is likely the best thing that could have happened to my life and my education. I would highly recommend attending this particular college to anyone considering furthering his or her education.

Gulf Community Collage is a great place to start if you can not go to a larger collage or if you are not sure and want to take some classes near where you live. The school has a lot of programs to get you on your feet and into a state school of your choice. The biggest problem is that it does not really have the normal collage atmosphere, you can get involved but so few people are that you are going to see the same fifty or so kids do everything. One reason for that is that it is a commuting campus and it is built to funnel off into many different types of schools. If you don't know what your next step should be, its a good cheap place to start, but if you think you know what you want to do, try to find a school that specializes in it first because it will have a more focused atmosphere for what you are looking for.

I would highly recommend Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for any and all incoming Freshman solely for the fact that they can easily become members of Phi Theta Kappa. Students can also become quite the social butterflies if they’d like, but it’s not necessary.

This a great school to start off with if your unsure of what you like to major in. Its affordable, staff is friendly and helpful, numerous extracurricular events and options and they offer many programs not just for current students but for other people within the community who would like to complete their Ged or transition and receive certification for their current job. The opportunities are endless here.

I think that Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is going to be a great fit for me. I love the campus and my future coaches. I’m going off a basketball scholarship and i can’t wait to live on campus and develop new friendships with classmates and teammates!

All of the teachers I have had are very nice and really good at their jobs. Most of the teachers clearly love what they do. The students seem nice and to be focused on school primarily. MGCCC has many clubs and organizations offered to the students and it is always encouraged to join some. The class sizes are overall small; the biggest I have been in was maybe around 30. I don't know much about our athletics or housing because I don't hear much of either.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself to make the best grades possible while you have the chance. I would also tell myself to get ready to have a very enjoyable education experience, because college is great. College is much more interesting and laid back. There are also many interesting students and professors to meet. I would tell myself that the transition from high school to college is very smooth. I would assure myself not to worry or be nervous because college will be one of the greatest experieces of my life.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
My college campus is quaint, but has a multitude of opportunities for learning with large building for the science and nursing departments of the school.
a wide range of people there are the young and then the one who are going back to further their education, so there is not any one type of student that is a whole a lot but there is mostly the younger age group because there is not a whole lot of people say in their 50s and up
If you want to attend MGCCC Perk Campus, you should definately be willing to have a good time! There are always campus wide events such as intermural sports, holiday parites, and dorm hall activities! This is an athletic school with sports for everyone. There are also some great teachers that know what they are talking about and are willing to help individuals. Not all teachers are that way, but you learn what classes take.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
With the high influx of college students it is my beliefe that most students attending Gulf Coast are faced with waiting in longs lines for books, financial aid, and scheduals. The campus trys to help with this problem by increasing there staff and extending their hours, but it is not enough.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
