I love the atmosphere there! The people are really nice, the campus facilities are really advance, and there I love that the classroom environment is a little bit smaller for the most part so that you can have a more interactive experience with professors. Another thing I love is that they have groups on campus that organize activities in campus for students to have fun. Overall wonderful campus and great people.

Mississippi College is amazing! The campus is beautiful, the professors are inspiring, and the people are incredibly welcoming. Everyone I've met has been so kind and helpful. I can’t wait to join this tight-knit community and start my journey as a freshman next year! Go Choctaws!

Mississippi College is truly a gem in the world of higher education. From its picturesque campus to its dedicated faculty and staff, there is so much to love about this institution. The sense of community at Mississippi College is unparalleled, with students and faculty alike coming together to support and uplift one another.
Academically, Mississippi College offers a wide range of programs and opportunities for students to excel and grow. The professors are not only experts in their fields but also caring mentors who are invested in their students' success. The campus itself is a beautiful and serene setting that provides the perfect environment for learning and personal growth.
Beyond academics, Mississippi College also offers a vibrant campus life with a variety of clubs, organizations, and events for students to engage in. Whether it's participating in campus traditions, volunteering in the community, or attending a sporting event, there is always something exciting happening on campus.
In conclusion, Mississippi College is a truly wonderful place that provides students with the tools and support they need to succeed both academically and personally. It is a place where students can thrive and grow into the best versions of themselves.

I like it. I'm not very involved in anything outside of class or things academic-related, so I don't really have much if an opinion on Mississippi College at all. I do plan to get more involved in my sophomore year if/when I make some new friends. It's kind of nerve-racking trying to join a club or tribe and going into it not really knowing anyone, especially since I'm more on the shy side.

Mississippi College is a great school! It is pretty small, which makes finding a community very important, but also pretty easy! There are a multitude of different clubs and organizations to join and overall, I think it is a great school. Every school has their ups and downs, but I personally look forward to going to class and look forward to moving back for the fall/spring semesters.

I cannot imagine a better place to go to college. The campus is beautiful, the academics are challenging, and the staff is always willing to help me in reaching my greatest potential. There are a lot of businesses in the surrounding city that help to provide everything a college student could need.

Mississippi College is the perfect school for me! I am in college to further my career academically, and the professors at Mississippi provide a rigorous curriculum and excellent teaching. They are passionate about what they teach and helping students learn and grow, both inside the classroom and out. For example, I had the opportunity to have many of my professors for two semesters, and I happily took that opportunity. Aside from caring and helping students academically and professionally, many professors personally care for their students. In the midst of a family emergency, two of my professors reached out to me to offer their thoughts and help if needed. Almost everyone is caring and kind, from students being kind to each to janitorial and food staff and students knowing each other by name. The town of Clinton is a suburb of Jackson, so it faces of the same issues that the city does. However, I have not had a bad experience and have found the people to be kind and helpful, and the town has almost everything I need within a five minute drive. As for housing, all but two of the dorms are very old, and have the issues commonly associated with old buildings, but maintenance workers are very prompt to fix any problems that arrive. Resident Assistants are very dedicated and make living in dorms interesting. The cafeteria food is average, but the workers are very interactive with students and more than make up for the food. The on campus restaurants are very good. Although there are no sororities or fraternities on campus, the campus provides similar experiences known as clubs and tribes that come highly recommended from those involved. The campus is beautiful and well maintained, and academic equipment, particularly for the science departments, is considered to be the best in the area. Although Mississippi College is a small campus, it offers a variety of extracurricular activities, and there should be something for everyone. I have written such a long review to praise my school as it has been everything I dreamed college would be, and I encourage everyone to at least consider Mississippi College in Clinton, MS.

It is a very welcoming community. Walking across campus, you get a sense of home. Professors know your names, and they genuinely want to see you succeed. Mississippi College is one of the best universities I have ever seen, visited, and even heard of. Rarely will you ever hear a MC Alumni say anything other than compliments towards Mississippi College.

It is the best thing since sliced bread!

Mississippi College is a very challenging school. They really want their students to think for themselves and want them to be the very best that they can. I was never challenged in high school or in my junior college days, but this school really lit a fire in me to study. That being said nothing at this campus is an easy A, except for general or nonmajor classes. Every department is top notch in the difficulty level. My quick answer is that it is a great school and I love it, but it will make you want to cry almost every night.

Wonderful, Christian College!
Emilie
Mississippi College is great if you are looking for a small private college to attend. The religious affiliation is strong and at the forefront of everything they do. Freshman scholarships can add up to quite a bit of money. There are plenty of organizations to become involved in, not greek, but still something for everyone.

I am a nursing major. I enjoyed the prerequisite classes I took prior to being accepted into nursing school. However, nursing school is a disappointment. It is very disorganized. Professors read straight out of the book or off of a powerpoint, and they just tell students what to know. You only get eight days of clinical experience during first semester, and all first semester classes are held off campus because the nursing building is too small. I have heard from graduates of MC's nursing school, and they say they are very unprepared for their first job as an RN.

It's a great Christian University where the people are very nice and have a great personality. It's a great school and the professors are always there to help. It's a fairly good size campus and everything is within walking distance so there is not really a need for vehicles on campus. The staff there is really nice especially the cafeteria staff. The new president of MC is phenomenal.

Mississippi College has a very nice campus with classes not to far apart. It is very easy to get around campus. Professors are well trained and educated. The education system is well design and produces high quality elite. However there are some small cracks in the nursing department. It's a bit disorganized.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Mississippi College is 49%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The dean of a certain department is a a pompous windbag who doesn't care anything for his students, yet expects them to believe he is God's gift to this school and brown nosing is the ticket into post-graduate admissions.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
The school I plan on attending in the fall semester is very nice. I began to talk to the dean of admissions and the president of the school, and they informed me that i would have a seat reserved for me during the fall semester. Only problem is the money. Their tuition is around 19,000 a year and with me living on my own, it becomes a little difficult to scrape up the money. If possible, please help or at least refer me to someone who might can. Thanks a lot!!
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The size of the school is just right to where you know most everyone but you can also be alone. The academics at mc are amazing especially for biology pre-med programs.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
Every school has their highs and lows. Frustrations can be anywhere but it?s our response in how we deal with it that counts. My frustrations are not so much the schools fault but more of a personal issue. It?s hard to enjoy time in college and make friends if money is low on the totem pole. So many thoughts and concerns can come between studies, happiness, relationships. My point is that it?s not MC's fault that my frustrations lie with money but more or so that it?s holding me back from enjoying my time here.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
If you are homosexual, lazy, open-minded, love life and want to enjoy your college experience, do not come to Mississippi College. You will not fit in well here.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
Yes, we all know that Mississippi College is a Christian College, but we must also understand that everyone who attends MC is not a christian. I am not saying that this is a bad thing but stereotyping people is not necessary. They think that nothing outside of the bible happens on this campus. Not literally, of course, I am just figuratively speaking. This campus is just like any other college in Mississippi, the only thing that is different is the name of the school. That's all and nothing else. This school has some requirements that sets it apart from other schools, such as, bible courses and chapel. No one should come on this campus and think that every person that goes to school here is a wholesome, christian person because that would be completely untrue.
The professors try to develop a close relationship with the students. They have prayer and try to learn everyone's name early in the semester. Class participation is advised and most professors structure lessons to involve everyone. My most unique class was group counseling in where the students formed a counseling group where we talked about life issues. Everything I learned at MC prepared me for my future career.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
Football is probably the top organization at the school. They sponsor lots of musical events and also let the foreign students organize events to raise cultural awareness. There are always everyday childhood games occurring for students to engage in. Campus security is always visible and they enforce the rules consistently. It is not what I consider a party school, but a social networking school setting.
I think Mississippi College is a wonderful college. I love it here and the atmosphere here. It's awesome. The campus is beautiful. Most of the teachers here are very helpful and you can gain a relationship with them as well. I love the size of the college and that it can be very close-knit at times and then at other times not so much. This school has a very strenuous curriculum but it is completely worth the hard work. It is hard, but it will pay off in the end, I promise. Some aspects of MC that I would like to see changed is the tuition, of course, and the fact that administration will not give you adequate service unless you are persistent and firm in what you need from them. That has happened to me quite a few times since I have been here. There are many things that MC has to offer and many activities as well. At MC, you will receive the full "college experience." You can join a tribe or club, participate in intramurals, enjoy campus ministries, and you can also join academic clubs too. There is so many opportunities offered here, and they are so much fun to be involved in. Although our football team is not so great, our basketball teams are great. School pride is definitely exemplified at MC. Overall MC is amazing, even if it does have some rough patches.
