What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
To my high school self, here are some words of advice. First, know what you are going to major in. It is obvious, but the sooner you realize this, the more motivation you will have. Next, procrastination is a disease, vaccinate yourself immediately. A lot of stress can be avoided if you get the work done ahead of time. Cramming is not efficient. Instead, you will be wishing you had studied sooner when you realize you could have aced a test with a few more days preparation. Learn how to prioritize, it makes organizing a lot easier when assignments and activities begin to pile up. Skip the club that night if you have a deadline approaching, trust me there will be plenty more opportunities. Be social, you can make new friends and network to make future connections, but stay true to your values. When you choose friends, choose ones that you can trust and support each others ideas. Also, avoid debt at all costs, its no fun owing money before you start you career. Most importantly, enjoy the experience. There were will be trying days, but remember you are there to make a life yourself and your family.

Describe the students at your school.
My classmates are like no other. The men I am proud to attend this institution with are the most diverse males on this Earth. Hailing from almost all 50 states as well as nations like the Bahamas and Haiti, we possess varying backgrounds that have established in us certain morals and values. This withstanding, I have yet to meet anyone who does not respect the opinions of others. This will be the one place where you see men of color intellectually speaking and realizing this is our start to being the movers and shakers of our time.

What's unique about your campus?
I Love how the students here get together in study groups and try very hard to help each other out with their studies. Sometimes it gets hard but I keep working. I like the hours of the cafeteria which allows those of us that have early or late classes to still get a good meal. I like the way that problems are handle in the dorms. I am grateful for the workstudy program because it allows me to have a little cash in my pocket and that helps out for washing my cloths and getting my other personal items.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
When I tell my friends about my school, I brag most about the fact that Morehouse is a Historically Black College & University. I proclaim this the most because I personally feel that I have been granted such a strong support system from people of my own race within the administration of Morehouse College. In addition, I established a great appreciation for the culturally-enhanced welcoming ceremonies for freshmen that were presented by an array of members of the Morehouse Family during New Student Orientation Week. These ceremonies enhanced my knowledge of our African roots and encouraged me to dream bigger.

What kind of person should attend this school?
The kind of person that should attend this school is someone who is energetic about excelling in their academics, lending a helping hand to his classmates whenever it is needed, and offering service to the community. This person should ultimately desire to grow into a Renaissance Man--a man who embodies integrity, loyalty, humility, and strives to make this world a better place. Furthermore, from the mission statement of our president, Dr. Robert Franklin, this person should aspire to be "well-read, well-dressed, well-spoken, well-traveled, and well-balanced".

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
What I wish I had known before coming to Morehouse College would have been the relationship between professors and their students. They reach out to assist anyone in need but you have to grow up and speak up to your professors because if you do not show you are serious about your grades or that you need help they cannot reach out to you unless you reach out to them first

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most fustrating thig about Morehouse College is simply having the finaces to pay for school. Being that morehouse is a private school it qute hard to get maximum funding from the Military or the government. So for an African American like my self who has little to no family that can afford to help fund my schooling, I belive its quite fustrating. Exspecailly when your heart is set on going to school.

What are the academics like at your school?
Its sort of like tought love. Every teacher cares about you and pushes you to the limits because they care. I have the numbers and emails of all of my professors and know each one of them to some degree or another. Students here are highly competitive but it pushes all of us to be great. Mays told us to be so good that no man living, dead, or ever to be bron can do it better. That is the foundation of our academics and our response to it will determine how high the elavators of our skyscrapers will go.

What is your overall opinion of this school?
In the big picture Morehouse is Morehouse. Like any school where the experiences are unique to your setting, it is hard to explain to outsiders. When we speak of "Club Woody" or "Hump Wednesday" or Crown Forum, others just dont understand. I have grown so much from the time I arrived here. I was told, "You wont get this experience anywhere else and I believe that." I love this place more than anything in the world and I would do anything to help it keep its name. I find myself growing attached to it when I am not with it. I find myself noticing things I didn't notice about it before on a daily basis. I find myself becoming a part of it just as much as it has become a a part of me. I find myself at Morehouse because I find Morehouse in me!
