I choose this school for the rodeo coach, Shelby Winchell, but in the end I found a family and amazing academic opportunities. This college will not only prepare me for a future rodeo career but also my career as an equine veterinarian. Shelby Winchell has been an amazing mentor and coach, anyone who wants to further their rodeo career should put NJC at the top of their list.

It good opportunity with good campus life and good size classes. The professors are always good to get in touch with. Also the campus might not be very large but it very nice and is kept in very good care. The staff is always happy to help a student.

NJC is a great place for students to start out. There are so many different clubs and opportunities for students. As a student ambassador, while giving tours, I like to say that if a student is bored while at NJC, it is usually their fault. There is almost always something to do on or off campus. As a second year student, I love the atmosphere on campus and how easy it is to find what you need and get the help you need. The free tutoring is a such a big help to everyone at school and I love that I have been able to use it.

I opinion of Northeastern Junior College is 1000% amazing. I am currently a Freshman there and I absolutely love it! I am submitting this application so I can live on campus next semester. I have plenty of friends who live on campus right now and they love it. And I am there almost everyday and the expierence is truly astonishing. The dorms are perfect. I have made so many friends due to the weekly events they host on campus-my personal favorite is the Stress-less program where they teach you how to cope with all of the stress college life gives you, and they even get dogs to come to help relieve it. Northeastern Junior College is the best school ever and I am very grateful for the opportunity I have been given to attend the best college in the world.

This is a very nice college. The environment is great, the community around the college is nice, and the people that live or work on campus are kind people. I like the small classroom size and that there is more agriculture benefits. I encourage a lot of students to look at this college.

Northeastern Junior College felt like home the second I got there. The staff there goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and like your not just another student. Northeastern has a club for everyone from the art majors to the automotive majors.

NJC provides a variety of subjects to learn about even if they don't pertain to your major. The teachers are motivated and want to do the same for the students by providing a classroom scene that energizes and drives everyone. One item that every student should have access to is a vehicle as there are not many attractions to see or be a part of in Sterling.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Northeastern Junior College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would definetley have tried harder and studied a lot more in my classes knowing what i would have needed to learn from being in college.
when i attend school, i feel like it will be the best because the school seems like a very good school to attend and it is a multi-racial school, where everyone seems to get along. it also seems like a school were you know you will get the best education , for earning you degree.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Anyone not serious about succeeding academically should not attend Northeastern Junior College. The small classes make success the main goal at NJC. I would have to say that the school is best known for its excellent education with smaller class sizes and more personalized teaching methods. I love how the school is small, but I still feel like I'm getting university education.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The uniqueness of Northeastern can be defined from its clubs and athletics but the most dominate feature is the comprehensive learning center. The CLC for short is free tutoring located in the library. Another example of how Northeastern is focused on the success of it's students. The CLC offers many hours of professional and student tutors for absolutely free of charge. This aspect defines Northeastern from the rest. With free tutoring, success is but a grasp away for any student.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
I am not certain to give you a 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} answer but id have to say any agriculture group. We do live in rural Colorado where agriculture is a huge part of our life.
This is a great college to be a part of. My bosses that I worked for in high school told me all about their experience here and how much they loved it as well as how much of a great education you receive here. I have heard nothing but good things about this school which persuaded me to come here and so far I have not been disappointed with my decision.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I knew how much college would really effect my life. I would have taken a totally different approach in highschool, taking ap classes, applying for grants and scholarships earlier, and especially the benefit of doing homework.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I tell my friends that since the college is smaller it was easy for me to get involved in activities. Having a list of activities that I participated in will look good to colleges that i may transfer to and the list will also help with my chances of being accepted.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
Probably the location. I wish there were more activities that college students could do. Which I realize there are quite a few things that the campus does for us, but I mean in the general town itself.
