I love the small class sizes. It allows you to get to know your professors and ask questions to improve learning. Whether interested in sports or theatre and arts, there is something for everyone at Piedmont. Staying on campus allows you to get to know as many people as possible. The only negative is the cafeteria in my opinion. I wish that was better quality food and more than one option.

I really like Piedmont College. I think its a great way to meet many new people and make new friendships by all the opportunities they have available for students. I also love the dorms and I think they are very nice. I love the professors as well. There always there to help students whenever they need it which is great.

The housing at Piedmont College needs to be updated for satisfaction as well as health reasons. Many of the underclassman dorms have ant infestations, mold problems, and water damage. Piedmont does not allow you to live off campus if you play a sport. There is ONE kitchen at the village that barely works and the washer and dryers are highly unrelaiable. You are not allowd any type of cooking necessities unless you are in the village etc. The cafeteria food is not very good. Make sure you clear your schedule for at least 15-30 mins after you eat, you will have to go to the john. There has been undercooked chicken served as well as bugs found cooked in the food. You do not get a refund on any meals you do not use. It rains constantly and you will not get the college experience you are expecting to find. Highly do not reccomend

Pros
- very small class sizes (usually 10-30 students per class)
- most professors are nice, caring, and accessible during office hours
- for the most part, the staff is willing to answer questions you have or assists you with your needs
- campus is extremely safe
- students are closely knit, you are not just a number
- small campus
- located in rural, Northeast GA mountains; about 1.5 hours from ATL, 1.5 hours from Athens
Cons
- parking is bad; barely any parking spots
- roads around campus are more like driveways than roads (very narrow, poorly-paved roads)
- administration at Piedmont College is slow to notify students about major events happening (i.e. it took about a month for the campus to release COVID-19 statistics and many students had to advocate strongly to get the statistics released; the campus is slow to notify if inclement weather will prevent students from safely returning to class)
- wifi can sometimes be slow, and so can cell phone sevice

The class sizes are small and the professors really make the effort to get to know students. Professors are available during office hours and through email and endeavor to help students when they need help. The college also provides free tutoring services and opportunities for internships for students. Piedmont has a very active athletic program with most students on campus being involved in some form of athletics, but the college also has other clubs and organizations for students who are not athletes. The fine arts program is also a big part of campus life with various concerts and theater performances offered for students to attend for free.

Piedmont College is very goal-driven. If you are looking for a school to waste time and party, this is not the school for you. Piedmont has a wide variety of ages and students in all stages of life. Campus life is not very big, but the education you will receive is great. The class sizes are small and the professors are always available. Piedmont is a school that wants you to succeed.

Piedmont College is a small, but extremely friendly College. The teachers genuinley care about the success of their students and are more than willing to give advice on academics, and otherwise if asked. The students are for the most part sincere hardworking students. There are dozens of extra activites offered on campus and there is a good shopping area not to far away. The only complaints I have are the lack of parking areas and that there are no shuttles to take students to or from the shopping area, which is a 45 minute walk.

Piedmont College is a school I have deeply mixed feelings about. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of my classes and the faculty are fantastic - with very few exceptions, the professors here are fairly accessible and extremely helpful if you come to them with questions or problems. However, residential life leaves much to be desired. The freshman dorms are very old and often have issues with bugs and black mold; this fortunately doesn't seem to be the case with the upperclassman dorms, but if you plan on living on campus for all four years, be prepared to deal with both of those things. Socially, Piedmont students tend to be very cliquish, a problem which is exacerbated by the fact most students participate in athletics, and athletes tend to stick with their teams. Most students go home for the weekend (understandably so), so don't expect to have a lot to do outside of classes other than homework and the occasional event hosted by residential life or the campus activities board.
In short: great school academically, not so great school socially.

This is a great school, you have some descent teachers that are wanting their students to succeed and you can go to them when you have a problem or don't understand something. The dining area is a very nice place to get something to get and they always have a wide variety of foods, its like a buffet. They have a gym and different areas for you to study in and big classrooms. It is a very nice college and it looks very well also.

Piedmont is a beautiful campus. I love the class sizes, you can focus better since the teacher-student ratio is small. I love the variety on campus both with students and majors. They have so much to do and make the transition easier for freshmen. They offer multiple opportunities for orientation as well. The campus is organized, and they offer counselling services. I like that the professors know the students by name and are open to talking to students outside of office hours.

I truly love the campus and academic culture at Piedmont

Piedmont College has a beautiful campus, with a homey feel to it. Everyone knows everyone and people are very friendly and willing to help each other out. The food is beyond amazing in the cafeteria. It is a small town surrounding the campus but there is always something to do it seems. I can not wait to become a Piedmont Lion this upcoming fall semester.

Piedmont College has usually been like a home with a huge teenage family to me. Whenever I get to spend time in it, I at least have teenager versions of a mom, dad, uncle, aunt, cousin, and so forth. Sometimes we even call our professors aunts or uncles as well. I really look forward to spending four years with the people at Piedmont College, and it will be so much fun.

I love it, it is peaceful and I enjoy the setting. I feel safe and at home there. Everyone is very nice and gets along. It's a closenit group and everyone knows everyone. The teachers interact well and I believe I will learn a lot from them and gain the information I need for the future.

I think Piedmont is a great fit for me despite the minor flaws it contains. The campus housing is old and needs to be renewed but living on-campus in the dorm expanded my social life and helped me make many new friends. In the areas that the school lacks, it can be overlooked by the many benefits of the school. I believe that overall Piedmont College is a great school for a person that enjoys getting to know people and prefers a small campus.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Piedmont College is 57%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I went back in time and talked to my high school self the biggest thing I would make sure to tell myself it to relax. In high school I was very stressed about making the change, I was worried that I would be over welled or that I wouldn't make friends, or any one of a hundred other things would go wrong. The biggest thing I learned coming in was that everybody else worried about the same things, and that by relaxing and being myself I made a better first impression than by trying to do the "cool" thing. College is the next step in the rest of your life, and there are some really big changes and choices that you find yourself making, but your whole life doesn't need to be planed in a day. When you let yourself relax you learn more about yourself and those around you instead of just stressing to get though the day. That is why I am constantly telling my brother, who is a high school senior, to just relax, and to trust his choices.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
i can honestly say that the worst thing about this school for me is only really how much it cost to go hear. i don't think we are over paying for our education it is just that i'm paying for school my self and i find it hard to pay the bills. o yeah and the internet acsess on camup is rediculous. more than hlf the time it doesn't work, and the art department is in shambles.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about my school is the cost in which to attend. I feel that it cost way to much. Fincianal Aid does not provide a student enough money for the fours years one is here.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
In comparsion to other schools there is not much to do on the weekends and most people go home or visit other places so there is not many people here on the weekends. If you don't play a sport then this is not the school for you.
I love the size. There aren't very many people who attend the school and it really helps to keep the class sizes down. The largest class I have been in at this school had 20 kids in it, the smallest was 4, including me. It leads to a lot of individual attention and help from the teachers if you need it.
Students who plan to attend Piedmont College should be open to new ideas and learn to think outside of the box. Also a potential student should venture out of their comfort zone and do things they wouldn't do in the past. Since Piedmont College offers a family atmosphere, being social is a good quality have to stay involved.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
i like to tell them about how friendly everyone is on campus, how i like the small class sizes, and how the faculty is always there to help you if you ask for it. Also, there are many events through the year that you can go to to meet new people.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Piedmont is a conservative school. That should speak volumes to the people who would consider themselves different in any way. If you are a straight, white republican, you will do well here. If you are none of the above or not all of the above, then the best thing to do for sanity sake, is to keep your mouth shut, conform or find another school.
My school has the hardest nursing program in Georgia. A great fine arts department that produces awesome artists of all kinds. Sadly we also have a pack of arrests each year with various levels of drama involved.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
100% of students attending Piedmont College receive some sort of financial aid.
46% were awarded federal grants.60%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
