What kind of person should attend this school?
People who are committed to their studies and work hard in all of their classes. Also people who really like a small, close-knit community and and small campus would really like the school. Another group who would really like this school are people with strong religious affiliations because Regis is a Jesiut Catholic school and so has strong religious affilations, but don't be worried about the catholicism because they accept all different religions.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I knew about the amount of financial aid the school provides its students with before coming here. I decided on attending this college late in my college planning and lost out on aid due to the fact that it was already taken or the deadlines for the scholarships already expired.

Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Regis is awesome! Although the price to go there can seem intimidating, it is well worth it. Classes are small which gives you a more individualized and personalized education. The teachers are always willing to help and watch you succeed. And there is always something to do there, you will never be bored. There is some activity going on at least every night. Everyone there is also very welcoming and since it is a smaller school, I promise you will not get lost as easily, so don't let that scare you.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Probably two things: the size, and the focus on social justice/volunteering/giving back. One of the main focuses here is social justice/community service, because Regis is surrounded by a residential community it prides itself on giving back to the community in which we live. Also Regis wants us to not only change the community we live in but impact society in a positive way.

When you step off campus what do you see?
When I step of campus, I am surrounded by a friendly, mainly Hispanic community. Many of the store signs are written in Spanish like, "Lavaderia" and "Carniceria." On one side of Regis we have Lowell Blvd which will take you straight down to the Highlands, a cute little area of town with many delicious local restaurants and shops. The Federal Blvd side of campus has chain restaurants like McCoy's, Wendy's, Caesars Pizza, and McDonald's. I mainly stay away from this part of town unless I am driving through to get to highway 70.
In walking distance there is the Rocky Mountain Lake which is great to go for a run or a bike ride.

Why did you decide to go to this school?
I chose Regis mostly based on how much financial aid they gave me. When I narrowed down my choices I was between Regis and Seattle U, both of which gave me a pretty good scholarship. I went to visit both schools and ultimately settled on Regis because I like the feel of the campus much more. I always imagined myself going to a small school with a real campus, which is what I got at Regis, so I chose that one.

Describe the dorms.
The dorms at Regis are in prime condition when you consider those at some other universities. The two freshman dorms are Desmet and O'Connell. I lived in Desmet my freshman year and I loved the red bricked walls lining the inside of every room, as well as the bunk beds, comfy NEW mattresses, and heating/air-conditioning. I was extremely comfortable and O'Connell is similar except has white walls instead of red brick. They both have grassy areas out front for hanging out and are a 1 minute stroll from the quad and the cafeteria.

What are your classes like?
Intimate. I've never had a class that was over 40 students, and I'm finished with all of my CORE requirements. I'm also in the Honors program, so I really get to reap the benefits of being in those upper level classes. We get into a lot of real in depth discussion- professors don't so much lecture at us than lecture with us.
