The San Francisco Conservatory of Music is a good college for people pursuing a professional degree in music. It has many courses designed to train musicians in all of the aspects of becoming a professional. The professors are accessible and have regular office hours. They answer questions and help students who need it. The professors are specialized in specific musical skills for different courses. There are instrument teachers, musicianship/theory teachers, music history teachers, ect. The only downside is that the school has major drug and alcohol problems at the dorms. Nearly everyday, there are parties where intoxication, blacking out, and illegal drug use are present. The school has a difficult time doing something about these issues.

Only a real musician will take his/her time to understand thier own instrument with the knowlege that music is produced by how well a person understands and feels the music. It takes a lot of hard work and there are no short-cuts. One must be passionate about art because music is the strongest from of art.
