College is truly what you make and education is something that you never want to stop investing in. Four years go by so fast and they are engulfed in memories with lifelong friends and moments in life of personal development. I never expected to go to a university due to the cost and high requirements but there is a college for you and believe me they want you and it will be free there is so much money available for you to attend school and gain an experience money can never give you. Factories close, sports aren't guaranteed and rap is not a growing genre however educating yourself about those areas and learning how to market yourself in any area of your interest can be found in college guaranteed. I can't stress to you enough the importance of going after your Bachelors degree does what you love and getting paid to do it. COLLEGE is the best place for you to expand your minds beyond the small city limits of Longview, Texas, there is so much more beyond the border the sky is the limit and although that's clich? you know my story now create your own.

As a high school senior, I looked at my senior year as a break from all the years I have previously been in school. With the new seniority, I felt as though I could relax a little with the enjoyment of my senior activites. As a result, I can look back and say, I may not have been as focused as I should have. Knowing what I know now about the collegiate life, I would have told myself to continue to pay attention in my senior high school classes seeing as these classes could assist me in college and also pass the classes given that I could earn a higher class rank to be easily accepted to a college of my choice.

Some advice that I would offer parents and students that would be first time college students on making the right decesion on picking a college is first deceding what region of the United states they would like to be in. The second thing is to check out the college before you attend because the websites only put the good pictures of the college or University up. The third thing is making sure that the student major is offered at the University or College. I also would advise them to do alot of research on the college.

You should start early, stay focused on the goal, be patient. Consider your options real well. Don't give up, even a little bit.

Sometimes it's not exactly the apperance of the school that determines how well of an education you may recieve. It's always important as a parent to be open with your chil and let he/she become more responsible for themselves. Parents should know that they still serve a purpose with the student; it's time for the student to be on their on and show more responsibility. The students should most certainly remember the reason they enrolled in college. It is important for the student to go to class and take care of business. Never overload yourself but show dedication to their schooling. It's alright to have fun and party; never let it take over you and hold you back. After all of the hard work and deadlines; it will show that you never forgot what you were in college for. It the end of the day it will certainly pay off.

The advice that I have to give is that start the research process early. Go to visit the school and talk to the administration and the students also so that you may be able to get their perspective on the school from their point of view. There are usually a lot of resources available, people just have to ask the questions and find out where they are. Take your time picking the school because your college career will define who you will be for the rest of your life.

When looking for a school to attend for the next four years make sure you have what you want to major in. Just getting through often leaves you choosing something for the sake of graduating. Which means you could end up regreting what you've chosen. Therefor, always remain positive! Don't be afraid to ask students how they feel about the school. To much negativity can dampen your college experience! Always look for the positive! Each semester write out expectations , goals, try to stay organized, and above all DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! This way you won't ever feel guilty for having a social life!
