Recently I visited the campus and I loved it, the presenter said the most a class would have was 50 something, this is one of the reasons that I choose Texas Wesleyan University also their slogan if you call it that "smaller.smarter". I love this because most other university's have an average of over 100 students while Wesleyan has about less then half of that number.

I want to attend Texas Wesleyan University because of their tight community. After visiting the campus, I learned on how small their classes were. While most colleges have classrooms with over a hundred students, Texas Wesleyan has at most fifty. Not only is there a major difference in class sizing, it also affects the benefits of learning. I feel I would be able to be noticed by the professor and have time to visit them if I needed help with a topic. I also enjoyed how Texas Wesleyan had a smaller campus. With the smaller campus, I feel that it would be easier to get around and even meet a lot of more people. They are very open to people of different backgrounds and have a way to make everyone feel welcomed and that they matter.

It is a good University that offers a lot of options for education. Its community activities and buildings are also very welcomjng and relacxing for those who are very stressed by work.

It is a smaller school so that way you are able to have more 1 on 1 time with your professors and you can walk anywhere on campus and still get the class on time. There are plenty on events to be involved in and you will also meet some pretty cool people here at Texas Wesleyan!

Smaller. Smarter. These two words are a true description of the school. The school offers merit scholarships of up to $22,000 a year. The small class sizes ensure easy access to the professors which then translates to student success. The school is very intentional about career services upon graduation.

The school is a part of my community. They are partnered with my high school I got to see the campus and experience the different activities they have on campus. It is a small school, but everything you need is easily available. It is really close to home, so I feel real comfortable about being in a place with new people. Its really easy to communicate with different staff and faculty via email or in person, so that was awesome when I needed to get in touch with people.

During my time at Texas Wesleyan, I rarely felt supported. Being an out-of-state student it was important for me to feel like I had people to that I could go to. At first, it seemed as if everyone on the staff would be a good resource to navigate my first year. However, as the semester went on it felt as if they cared less and less. Student life is pretty nonexisting as was the support for any other teams aside from football and men's basketball. It was hard to keep up with campus and current events bc of the lack of communication on campus. The absolute worst part of this university is the financial aid office I never left there feeling like I was taken care of and was ultimately the reason why I left the school.

Texas Wesleyan University has got many great qualities. It does have small classrooms and the professors are always available to help. However, If you are looking for a Christian School, this is not it. Texas Wesleyan even advertises that it's a small Christian school but the religion department does not even have a true Christian on staff. They do have some"new Christian" ideas which really means not biblical. The Professors are fantastic overall but they are almost all Liberal Socialist and quite frankly Marxist. Some of the older professors are Christians but overall they are not Christians at all or they believe in a very loose version of Secular Christianity. Critical Race Theory is pushed in nearly every class. They pride themselves on their Critical Thinking teaching method but what it really means is a Socialistic agenda overall and a Marxist ploy to destroy Capitalism from within by Race division. I am an older student and I chose Texas Wesleyan because they gave me the most money and it was close to home. However, I was shocked at their teaching methods and some professor's blatant push of Socialism Ideologies. They even go as far as saying things like Capitalism always fails and insulting Republicans and Conservatives beliefs, implying they are just ignorant and only watch the fake news. Like I said If your looking for a good school with great professors and you are not religious then this could be a good choice. BUT If you are a Christian make sure your faith is solid as a rock -knowing your faith and Bible backward and forwards. Make sure you know what you believe and why you believe it. AND most of all make sure you know your history. Some professors take liberties with revisionist History.

Generally speaking, Texas Wesleyan is a great school. The school population is fairly small, so there is a special community that is made among both faculty and students. The school really tries to make things accessible and engaging for students especially after funding the new student center building. Additionally, the academics are taken very seriously and with the smaller class sizes, the instructors are consistently available to those who may need extra guidance or assistance.

This college was not by fay my first choice. I had hoped to get into two other colleges but I did not get accepted. Upon further research, I learned that Texas Wesleyan has one of the best computer Science programs in Texas and it's scholarships help pay for tuition. Another huge thing for me was location. I can live at home and commute to college, as the campus is only three miles from my house. The upper classmen are very friendly, they will gladly give out directions on how to get to a building. The community always gets people involved in activities such as smores, homecoming, and workshops. We have free tutoring and counseling. There are great locations for food. Everything is within walking distance, you don;t have to leave your parking spot and drive to a building that's on the other end of campus like most big schools. The professors are very friendly and have an open door policy which means that if their door is open you can come in and ask them questions about the lecture that day or for help on homework. I very much enjoy being a student here at Texas Wesleyan.

Small classes and welcoming professors make it very hard for you to not graduate with good grades. Lots of resources on campus and there is always someone available to help you. The school itself encourages a healthy lifestyle to help a lot of incoming freshman fight the freshman 15!

I have been attending in Texas Wesleyan University for about three years now. Texas Wesleyan excels in their amazing professors who really care about you and your learning, but they lack in dining options and campus housing. I lived on campus for my freshman and sophomore year and the money we payed for it was definitely not worth it. You had to get the meal plan in order to live on campus and the meals were less than subpar. I ate in our dining cafe probably only twice a week. However, I will say that the people that I have met in my time at TWU have changed my life for the better. While Texas Wesleyan does have its downfalls, I will always be grateful I met my lifelong best friends while attending here.

I love it. The classes are intense but that’s great. The teachers are easy to get along with and are available if you need to talk with them. Everyone from the President on down has an open door attitude. They genuinely care about the students. I’m glad I chose that school.

I began attending Texas Wesleyan University in the Fall of 2018. Initially, I was to attend sooner however, due to a traumatic medical event that was not possible. When I was finally ready to return to Wesleyan, I was welcomed with open arms. Growing up with several medical circumstances have placed many obstacles within my academic life such as, missing out on school activities, and trying to uphold my grades and assignments. Thankfully, the school staff members were all willing to work with me and continue to do so. Along with each staff member, my professors without a doubt have been an absolute blessing. Unfortunately, with my medical history, I must miss quite a bit of class days which, causes me to fall behind with assignments. However, each of my professors is always understanding and willing to work with me. Genuinely I know that they each care for me and only want me to succeed. Many times, I have come to them with questions about grades, missed assignments, notes, etc. and I am always helped above and beyond. Texas Wesleyan University was not my first choice, initially, I wanted to attend somewhere away from home. I wanted to go somewhere that was not the same as my mother who is an alumnus of Texas Wesleyan, but I am truly content with my university decision. Attending this university has shown me that they are all about inclusivity and want every student to succeed far beyond their potential. I am truly grateful for all they have done for me. Well after I have graduated I will have them to thank for helping me pave a way towards a great future.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Texas Wesleyan University is 41%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
You need to learn how to be organized. Between work, classes, homework, and social life, everything is about timing. You have to use every minute wisely. This helps prevent procastination. If you plan out your day and know what your should do at every hour and actually do it, it helps greatly. You are responsible for everything yourself now. Only you can make yourself succeed.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
A person that likes small classes and interaction with their professors. A person that is accepting of cultural diversity and open to all different types of ideas and perspectives about life.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
The one distinct thing I remember before attending this school is that everyone praised how "approachable" the teachers are. However, most of the teachers are impossible to get ahold of or are not willing to meet with you to discuss topics in the class. Texas Wesleyan is an OK school if you just want to get your education and not be bothered, but if you want to live the college experience; and go to sporting events, have school spirit, fratertity/sorority parties, etc, then Wesleyan is not for you.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
Words can't describe how much I've enjoyed my studies at Texas Wesleyan University. Through classes, I've meet a great deal of new professors and friends that I know I can always count on if I need any help with my studies. All administrative figures are really friendly and willing to help. For my major and desired career, Texas Wesleyan University provides a lot of information. They has a program named DEAP, which is an early dental acceptance program.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Texas Wesleyan is about the students. They have a great motto in smaller is better. I feel that the smaller class sizes help students focus. It is easy for students to get lost, especially in college courses. Smaller classes make it easier for one on one relationships between professor and student.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
82% of students attending Texas Wesleyan University receive some sort of financial aid.
45% were awarded federal grants.37%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
