I enjoy the environment of St. Scholastica. They are supporting me in multiple ways. My current education is helping me live my dream of one day being a nurse. At St. Scholastica, I am offered support, tutoring, and counseling for free to help me towards my dream. I have always wanted to be a nurse and, even from a young age, thought about the infinite careers in healthcare. The food is not the best but the college is small and close-knit and that provides comfort in itself.

I have a very good opinion about this college, I am going to enter into Denfeld High School as a high school senior and I am part of a Upward Bound program affiliated with this college ever since I was in 10th grade, the campus is great and I want to go here for college because it will help me become a RN Nurse and I really do hope I can be accepted into this college, as a low income student, I hope that I can get this money to help me pay for this college and help me further pursue my education.

My opinion of St. Scholastica is very positive because of their strong relationships and support for their students. I believe that St. Scholastica is there to make sure that every student has access to what they need to get to their destination in life. St. Scholastica has been there for me through my process of finishing high school and onto the next steps, college. I absolutely love St. Scholastica and it’s been my dream college for my decision of colleges.

I cannot say enough about the amazing education I received for my undergraduate degree at The College of Saint Scholastica. As an aspiring healthcare worker, this was the perfect location to do my schooling. I felt well prepared moving onto graduate studies and while working at Essentia Health as well. Class sizes are smaller, but the professors are incredible and very knowledgable. Food options are getting better as time goes on as well.

It’s really beautiful and it looks like a castle. I love it. People there were super friendly!! The class size is perfect. Especially with me coming from a class with 600 people it’s not small but it’s almost the same as Scholastica . Everyone just feels like family. It feels like home!

St. Scholastica is a small school that prides itself on academic excellence, especially in the health sciences. If you want a career in health information management, St. Scholastica has the longest-running program, with professors who are very active in the profession. St. Scholastica is also well known for its nursing program. About 75% of the students are female. Overall, St. Scholastica is a good school but may not have everything that a student might want.
Sarah
Fantastic college that is unbelievably inclusive and thoughtful to all students' needs. The campus life is very safe and kind. There's nowhere else I've ever been that feels so inclusive and warm. This is one of the finest colleges I've ever been to and is absolutely beautiful.

CSS is a good place to be, home away from home. It is a good learning environment which also offers other well-being resources such as Campus Ministry, Burns Wellness, WellU, different kinds of activities and entertainment that missing home is not always an option.
Madison
It's a school that is very cliquy. People do not like branching outside of their friend group which makes it hard for outsiders to make friends. Unless you like partying there is not a lot going on during the weekend, so I mostly just watch TV on the weekends. There is not a lot of on campus fun to do during the week. I wish there was more campus entertainment and events.

It is a beautiful campus. The student life is very friendly and outgoing! Overall a 10/10 I love it! I am ver excited to be attending this college in the fall of 2019. My brother has also attended the college of St. Scholastica, where he played football. He did not play much bet he still loved it! It was the atmosphere of the team that he loved, everyone was friendly, kind, helpful, and loving!

The College of Saint Scholastica is located in the city of Duluth, Minnesota atop a hill that overlooks Lake Superior. Overall, the buildings are beautiful, even the oldest building Tower Hall. Though the steps are a bit steep and tiring, especially if you have to go to classes on the 4th floor. Outside, the weather can get a bit cold, so there are tunnels that connect Somers to Science to Tower Hall and they are nice, but a bit inconvenient. The classes are always rather small, my largest is a 30 person lecture, but it's still rather nice. However, be prepared for heavy classroom discussion participation and required classroom attendance. Your teachers will know when you're not there and knock you down a few grade points if you don't make up the work. Still, the school is nice, just not somewhere I want to be.
Rebecca
I love the College of St. Scholastica. The overall atmosphere of campus feels very welcoming. The college has academics that truly make you work for your grade so you know you have earned what you got. There are many different clubs and groups on campus to join. The only reason I didn't give a five star rating is because the the Greenview Dining Room, where the freshmen usually eat, has mediocre food, and not much for variety.
Alicia
This college so far has helped me grow so much in the short time that I have been here. Everyone is so outgoing and helpful and so are the teachers as well. Everyone gets to know each other as this is a smaller school but it feels more like home. I love it here!
Rylee
It is a wonderful school with many opportunities for all kinds of students! The staff are all very supportive and love to answer any questions you have. The student body is fun, diverse and ready to learn all the time! Everyone here has a lot of drive to be successful in their life.

I am so glad that I chose to attend the college of Saint Scholastica! It's so welcoming and beautiful! I love this place! I didn't know what to think about the college before I visited for the first time, but after orientation, I just knew I had made the right decision. The College of Saint Scholastica is my home away from home. I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else!

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
What I have received out of my college experience consists of three main ideas: time management, knowledge, and maturity. I have learned the importance of time management during my first year in college. Time management is extremely important because at college you live with your friends. So your friends are just a knock away. I learned it is important to manage your time accordingly which means not hanging out with friends all the time. Instead, study first and friends hang out with friends second. Knowledge is the second aspect college has given me. I have learned a vast amount of knowledge that I will carry with me into my future which then will lead into my career. College forces maturity upon you whether you are ready for it or not. If I were not to have matured during my freshman year, I would not have the GPA I attain now. At college, I matured a lot, and I began to make decisions for myself. Following the crowd, in college, is not always the best decision. If I would not have gone to college, I would have never gained time management, knowledge, and maturity.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
When I completed this program, it was an accelerated program at a satellite campus; my suggestion to future students is to ensure you have the time and dedication to complete an accelerated program.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing as a freshman is not having an adivsor in your major. When trying to pick classes, the only person you have to go to is your Dignitas professor, who is not trained in helping students choose classes and who may not be involved in your major at all.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I brag about my apartment on campus; it is really nice. I also like to talk about the small class sizes here and each teacher knows you on a first name basis. It is really easy to contact your professors and set up times to meet with them if you. There is a writing and tutoring center on here campus that are great resources if you are looking to do the best in your classes. The library is very nice; it is quiet and there are many places to study. Every dorm/apartment building also has their own study rooms.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
I guess the stereotype for CSS student is that we are all very religious being a private catholic college. But that is not the case, there are a lot of students that don't go to mass every week and I am one of those people. We don't have mandatory mass times or a mandatory bible minor. We do have core values, But they are more life values that make the people at CSS better people.
