The University of Central Florida is notorious for taxing its students with heavy fees and fines. Park without a proper decal, withdraw from a course late, or make a late payment and you could be swamped with debts and fees that could potentially add thousands of dollars to your bills. We?re drowning in a sea of debts, credits, and fees: when we finally breach the surface, we are immediately consumed by a tremendous wave of new fees. The turbulent maelstrom never ends. Be prepared.

the plus/minus system.......didnt know there was a difference until i got my grades

During my first year at UCF, I realized that studying has become a very important part of being a student there. I began putting in more effort into my school work to achieve the goals that I have set for myself, than I have ever done before. The work load gets bigger and harder each semester as harder classes become a part of your schedule. Therefore, I wish I had learned to give my all while I was still in a community college.

I wish I had known how hard it was going to be to complete a bachelor's degree while raising children. I have been trying to complete this degree since I was 18. 11 years later, I finished my AA and am now ready to go further with a BS in Education.

Prior to attending this school i wish i had known that the classes were indeed easy and the teachers great, it definitely would have saved me time when applying for Universities in highschool.

That eating oatmeal for a straight week is not fun. If your parents can't afford to help and you have no money yourself, college can be really hard.

There is not really anything that I wish I would have known before I cam to UCF. It is everything that a person can look for in a University. The academics, student activities, and interaction between students make the school one of the premier schools in the state of Florida is not in the country.

I wish I had known about it earlier, I would have started this much sooner. I would have been able to work and complete my degree at the same time. Now with the cut in jobs due to the recession, I am starting later. I could have been done with the classroom and working in the field of my dreams already.

I wish I would of known how large the campus at UCF is. It is the third largest campus in the U.S. (which leads to larger classroom sizes and less one-on-one attention). I wish I would have known how diverse the students and professors are. Alot of the professors have accents which affect learning. These things would have made me be a more prepared student as I inpire to one day become a physician.

Make sure you get involved from the get go with clubs, IM sports, jobs.

I wish i would have known more ways to get funding for school. Its not cheap and hard to find scholarships before comming. I also wish community colleges prepared you more for universities.

I think I would have like to known more of the University's history and about the success stories that came from the university. I think that it would just make me a lot more proud of the school that I'm attending.

I wish had known about more scholarships and internships within my major in which I could've applied before getting accepted at UCF.

I wish I knew what to expect from the college setting as a whole. I failled to get an inside perspective of what college would be like, so I wasn't able to get critical advice that I could have used.

I wish I had known how to cook.

I wish I had known how terrible parking is on campus. Since UCF is now one of the top five largest universities in the country, parking has become a serious issue.
