University of Phoenix-Online Campus Top Questions

The worst thing about the school is that there is no face to face interaction with students and teachers because all the school work is done online. There are local campus settings, but the online setting is perfect for me.

The worst thing about attending University of Phoenix online is that I do not get the face to face interaction that I would if I was attending college on campus. This becomes an issue when trying to communicate with other students, because there are times, no matter how good your grammar is, that your message may come across with a tone that is was not intended to. This can lead to some minor disagreements in the classroom.

The only thing, in my opinion, is the feeling of being in an actual classroom where you can not only see the instructor but you could see what the instructor was writing on the chalkboard or whiteboard. You could get a better understanding of the class and the work by repeating things for memory. Attending online, you have to picture yourself in a classroom so that you can understand the material and the courses in oder to come up with good logical answers to your classmates discussion posts and work in teams from students all over.

The worst thing about this school are some instructors not being on top of things like assignments and grades. In my three blocks of classes, I always had an instructor that was dragging time to get things graded or even get a reply from. I did not give it much thought, but after I talked with my advisor she shared with me that they actually have a time frame of when to get back to a student, and when I let her know this instructor was informed and I finally got my replys back.

It is not seen as a highly regarded school; most frown upon it.

Although I have absolutely no complaints about the University of Phoenix, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there, I guess I would say the worst thing about the school is that I am not attending actual classes, I am taking them online. I personally need this learning style so that I can work but I feel as though I would have an even better experience at the campus in Arizona.

The fact that it is online, you don't get to interact with other students like you would in a regular classroom.

What I consider to be the worst thing about my school is that I can either never get a hold of my advisors, or the school keeps changing them on me with out telling me.

The hardest thing about this school is the fact that it is online. You do not interact with the students and teachers except through forums or phone calls if necessary. It takes motivation to keep up on the school, so if you are a self-motivated person you should do well in this environment. They also do not offer Social Work degrees which is something I would love to see offered.

The worst thing I consider about attending the University of Phoenix online campus is that it is not like a traditional learning environment. It is difficult to adapt to that change. Learning has always been under face to face circumstances. Now, the opportunity to ask questions and get an immediate response is gone, and students have to wait on an email before they can move on.

Learning Teams- not going to be much different anywhere you go, but it is always difficult when yu have to depend on other people to get the grade you know you deserve individually.

The cost of this school is rather expensive. I am receiving a great education but it's extremely expensive. I am nervous about my student loan repayment.

The only thing I can think of is that it runs on Phoenix time. If you live in a different time zone you need to be careful when you post to the site.

This college is so expensive, if you don't have the money to go here... Don't.

Sometimes the groups sessions are not so good. I have been on several teams and I have only had one bad team experience which I am grateful for. Sometimes I am not sure that working in teams is the best way to go.

The extensive flexiblity. Lots of room to slack off if you let yourself go. Also is a bit more pricey.

The worst thing about my school is the focus on team assignments, because of getting team mates that are unwilling to help with the work on the assignments.

The worst thing is not having an actual book to read, instead all my books are online and at times can be frustrating.
