University of Phoenix-Online Campus Top Questions

To be honest I don't have any stories about the school having a worst atmospher. I'm a online student and my interaction with the school is a little different thing what indivduals may not be use to . Now if I had to choose what was the worst thing aabout the school it would probaly be the closing of one of the campus that was near to me. By closing that campus change how I would go about prinitng my material for the class, arranging my day to study on the campus versus going straight one from work.

It's all about self discipline, if you don't know why you are going to school you won't have the drive to get yourself to the finish line. You have to get up everyday and make school a priority, even when you have everything else in the world right there in your face distracting you. You are your biggest enemy and your best ally. You could either push yourself the succeed or pull yourself down. With online schooling you are the key to your Success!

The worst thing about University of Phoenix would have to be when your Academic or Financial Aid Counselors get a new job. They do not get to tell you. They are just gone! You build a rapport with these individuals and you must start all over again with new people when they leave. This is very frustrating. Especially if the new people assigned to you are not compatible with your personality!

It is very fast paced and a lot of work.

There are plenty of wonderful qualities about University of Phoenix. The only thing that I would consider to be the worst thing about this school is the lack of preparation they give students regarding tuition and financial aid. Although the school offers plenty of resources on this topic as well as a personal financial advisor, in my case, the school had me so preoccupied with registering, orientation class and beggining courses, that I did not reach out to my financial advisor until I realized that I was already spending tuition money.

The hardest thing is writing a paper every week, and sometimes with team projects, there are two papers to do.

The worst thing about high school is letting myself be driven by other's wants and needs. I took what I wanted and my dreams forgranted in order to fit in with my friendships. When graduation came around everyone went off and did their own thing, meanwhile I felt like I stayed behind with no plan and instead went to the nearby commuter school since I didn't bother to plan to go to college.

I believe the worst thing about my school is the teams we have to use. There is an extreme emphasis on teamwork; however, team work online is very difficult and often times teammates do not come through with their share hurting my grade. I would put less emphasis on the team projects.

There is no face to face interaction.

That I dont have more time to spend on it.

The only issue I have come across with attending class online is that your fellow classmates are not on the same time zone as yourself, which can cause communication delays and delays in getting assignments submitted on time.

Any degree program after the associates requires a lot of group activities. While it is fun to interact with other people to work together on a project, it is not always ideal when other members of the team turn their portions in late. It is difficult to get assignments done on time with bad team members. But that is just it; you never know if your team will work good or not until it is too late.

The worst thing about my school is that it is so far away from where I live so most likely I will not actually have a graduation ceremony.

The worst thing about my current school is students who do not take their education seriuosly. Once an individual attains the level of graduate and doctorate programs they should be fully committed to the program. When completing team assignments I find it unconscionable that a student would simply not put forth effort. I'm also appaled at students who flagrantly attempt plagiarization. Regardless of ones academic level they must be fully committed and willing to put forth the effort needed to succeed. If one is unwilling or unable to complete the course work he/she should consider waiting.

I honestly cant think of anything that I could say is the worst about my school.

The cost of tuition is insanely high.

During the Bachelor's program, all classes are 5 weeks long, which means an extreme workload - going part-time would only mean longer gaps between classes, not a reduced workload.

The worst thing about the school I am attending is my Learning Team. There are five of us and out of the five, only two of us contribute anything to our assignments. While I realize there are those students who are not only attending college full time, they also have other obligations, such as full time jobs and families. However, time management is crutial in order to be a successful student.

The educators are not educators, they are paid babysitters that are required to post the same discussion questions for every class. If you have an actual acedemic question, they refer you to the internet or other students.
